This is a cool putter and it came with a soft lamkin grip. The putter sets up well and I use it for all kinds of shots like the Texas wedge. Comes with a nice head cover. If you're looking for a solid putter and don't want to blow your life savings..then this is a solid choice. Make birdies don't make payments.

Worst putter I've ever seen in comparison with price to value ratio. Honestly is a pice of junk that is fit for the trash can. For $120, I'd suggest you buy a Cleveland wedge and putt with that. I'm sure you'd get better results like that. I wasted $120, don't make the same mistake.

Customer Service

Wilson is the worst company in the public relations divison. Takes about four months to return a call or a fax. Very uncourteous as well. Try to avoid their company. Products aren't too bad, though.

The copper insert makes this club feel great. The Fat Shaft helps alot with the club's stability and a large sweet spot eliminates embarrasingly bad putts. If you don't put it in the first time it will definitely be close.

Got this club at an auction to help support a school band. Nice club, smooth release from the face, keeps ball from small bounce I had with my other puter. Shaft seems to help , seem to be more accurate

This is one of the best putters that I have purchased.. I love the alignment figures that help me align correct and allow me to stay on line with my putts..

I can honestly say that I'm an improved putter with the CI(copper insert) #4 putter..

I went from almost 3 puttting most of the time to 2 putting with no problem..

I would recommend this line of putters to anyone without any hesitations.. I think that there are 10 models in CI line, so there are many styles to fit whatever taste you may have.

This will probably be my putter for a long long time.

This was about my fourth or fifth putter that I have used. And the best one at that. It is very solid. You don't have to swing very hard to make it go far.

Model Reviewed: Wilson Fat Shaft Putter CI-1

It was the first putter I ever brought. I went after one upon reviews from Golf Tips Magazine. At first, I had some difficultly getting used to the putter. I think it was more me than the putter. Then I had the shaft cut down to around 32" and put a Lamkin grip on it. The adjustments seemed to make the putter better, but I wasn't entralled by it. Then, sometime after, I purchased an Odyssey DF-772 on store credit, from a local golf shop. I liked the Odyssey which felt heavier than the Fat Shaft, and more solid, but I couldn't hole any putts with the Odyssey. So, torn between the Fat Shaft and Odyssey, I was thinking about buying a different putter altogether. Well, in October 2000, I played in a shotgun scramble and went to putt with the Fat Shaft. I sunk two birdies, and part of my newly found success with putting was my technique. Right now, I'm "learning" to putt like Bobby Locke, and the Fat Shaft seems to be the best choice right now. The putter seems more stable than other putters. It's easy to align, and the weight of the whole putter is just right for me. I do not plan to purchase another putter for quite sometime. By the way, I've found that distance balls tend to putt better than balata balls. I used a Strata Distance-90 with the Fat Shaft and got good results.
Nobody really plays with these putters. I think Wilson could have done a better job marketing them, and at a lower price.

Customer Service

Wilson needs to be more "warm" when dealing with customers. I read another person's review about a Wilson product. They do tend to be terse with people. Also, if Wilson wants people to buy and play their top-line equipment. They have to bring down the price. In the end, it's going to kill them.

Bought the CI3 with the copper insert. Wow what a great putter. The putter lines up great and looks good at address. The copper insert gives a great soft feel and seems to send the ball right at the hole. This putter has improved my putting, almost no more three putts. Distance control is much better and the accuracy is great. A must to own amd play with.
