I really like the Scotty Cameron putters for the fact that the face is very nicely milled, and that they ahve great heel-toe balance, but the fact is that I really like my Ping Anser 2 over a Cameron, and the only reason being price. I got my Anser 2 for $90, while I looked at the SC Newport 2.5 and it was $250. Now, essentally, the SC is the same design and concept of the original Anser, just with a little better finish and a few cosmetic changes. Besides that, I really like this putter: I get lots of feedback from it, and the weighting is very nice, but I can still get approx. 3 Anser 2's for the price of one Cameron. Other than that, I think that this is a great putter, and if you can shell out the dough, then you should definately look into getting one. This is an aweome putter. Looks great, great distance control and and amazing firm (not soft) feel. The balance is pretty good but nothing great and aligning it is not a breeze but if you take your time the feel and distance control will ssave you many strokes. Very expensive but if you can find a decent deal it is well worth it. It may take a little while (30 rounds or so) to truly extract the benefits of this club and get used to it. This is my favorite club and saves me many strokes. If you have the means try it. Customer Service none needed Similar Products Used: pings, odysseys, wilson brass, bullseyes |

33" Std. Mil Spec 2002 Model
I had been experimenting with different putters until I kept reading mostly positive reviews of this putter. I finally gave in after finding a local shop that had the model I had wanted. I wasn't use to this type of putter at first (I used mallet style putters before) and it took me about 5 rounds to get comfortable with it. Now I can honestly say that within 5 feet, I don't get jittery about missing the putt because this putter really is well balanced and does the work for you (almost). Within 10 feet I really feel good about draining the putt. 10 feet and beyond I'm confident that I can at least get it close for a 2 putt. The weight is nice as well since I can actually feel the putter head and not worry about it twisting if I hit a slight mis-hit. It is a high priced putter, but it sure is nice knowing that 2 putting (or less) will happen practically all the time. Don't get me wrong, I do practice putting quite a bit, but this putter is the most consistent putter that I've tried/owned, which makes putting extremely enjoyable for me. Overall, I am very glad that I took the plunge with this putter. If you're considering it, make sure to try out a Mil Spec, since it's practically the only Cameron that you can customize. As for the price, I did have reservations when I was paying for it, but looking back, it was well worth it. I'm so glad my search for a putter is now officially over. Now, if I can only be more consistent with my irons! Similar Products Used: Odyssey Rossie II, Carbite Belly Putter, Odyssey White Hot 2 Ball. |

At first I did not like this putter at all. My friend let me borrow it for a couple holes one day and I got hooked. one thing I noticed is that you really have to pund the ball because this putter tends to leave you a little short. If there is one thing i would change on this putter it would have to be the weight of the head. A heavier putter is better suited to my tastes. Other than that, this putter is like a gift from the Golf gods. I will be picking one up very soon. The Newport Mid Slant is by far the best model although it might take some getting used to if you find the shape...funky. |

I took a gamble on buying this when I really wanted the odyysey 2 ball. Well blow me with a fan, This putter has an amazing feel from 4 feet to 35 feet. I only 3 putt maybe twice a round now. And what with the silver effect I,m sure I,d get laid if I took it out clubbing with me Similar Products Used: I used a Fischer Touch putter before which was way too soft my my liking |

The Best putter I have ever used and I have tried alot of them. More consistent than inserts. Great feel and it inspires confidence when you look down at it. It is expensive, but the quality is outstanding. I think this may be the last putter I have to buy. Customer Service N.A. This is the best putter I've owned. It has great feel and balance. The Pro Platinum finish doesn't need as much care as some of Cameron's other putters, but it should be treated as a fine piece of equipment and cleaned (wiped down) after it's played; like all your clubs. Customer Service I haven't had to worry with this, but I have dealt with Titleist before and should the need occur don't expect any problems. Similar Products Used: None like this, but I've owned my fair share of putters. |

Scotty Cameron Mil Spec
Last putter I will ever need. The mil-spec only comes in Newport model. I trimmed the shaft length to 33 3/4 inches and re-gripped with the PingMan grip (Ping with the little man logo). With the grip still wet and moveable, I align for MY GRIP (Looking at a distance of 20 feet on tile floor I square up with what is natural for me...then square up the face angle). Good feel, sound, and distance control. The toe up model let's you stand closer to the ball to get rid of screen door effect (I like the straight back and straight thru path) |

I love this putter.I had a white hot #6 that felt good but had no consistancy. The PP has feel, consistancy, and is easy to keep up.It is a little heavier than most putters,so you have to get used to it.This may not be the putter for you. Try different Camerons. For instance, I was set on getting a studio putter, but couldn't hit it on the sweet spot(toe misses). Then I wanted a Terillium, but it had a tendency to make you come up short and is hard to keep up. Try different ones and find the right one for you, it will be worth it!
