well im not gonna come on here and say "this is the best putter out there" simply cuz i have tried "everything" but..i used to play an odyssey 550 and a ping pal, i can say that the cameron pp midslant puts those 2 to shame all i know is that im making alot of putts over 15 feet now and never miss 2 3 4 footers anymore and never 3 putt unless i just totally miss read a 50 footer on a course im not used to but lag puts just trickle right down to the hole with this baby and its so beautiful to look at im a firm believer in if you look good you play good and now im a believer in if you have equipment your confiedent with you play good maybe some of you disagree but thats just my opinion, why pay 400 for a driver and 50 for a putter when on 18 holes you may use your driver 12-14 times and you willl put between 25-30 depending on how good you are think about it make a smart investment you score with a putter and you need a good one and i think this one is one of the best and so do alot of other ppl and alot of pros sorry for the long review lol but im bored and i like to talk golf later.....

When it comes to one of these putters, forget about the price! Just save up the coins and buy one. I love this line of putters so much, it was hard to make a choice of one particular model. Every one felt solid and smooth. As others have so appropriately stated, quit wasting your money on fancy drivers (so what if you might get 5-10 extra yards) and invest in a Pro Platinum. The "magic" sound is the ball hitting the bottom of the cup, not the ahs and oohs of a 300 yard drive. I've heard both and I'll take the former over the latter any day!!

Model Reviewed: Titleist Scotty Cameron Mil-Spec PRO PLATINUM

Although the Scotty Cameron/Titleist Putters aren't as high in quality as the putters that Scotty Cameron supplies to tour players and celebrities...(that's right don't be fooled into thinking that Titleist gives you something for under $300 that Tiger, Notah, Hal Sutton, Darren Clark, etc. play...theirs feel much finer, are balanced slightly better, and are tighter in tolerance...and gosh just feel of so much more quality...) anyhow.... I prefer the Mil Spec, since it uses a standard plumbers neck/hosel instead of the kinda sharp angled mid slant style...Also it is great being able to pick specs such as loft/lie angle and especially LENGTH...since cutting down or extending a Std. Pro Platinum or any other standard titleist scotty cameron throws off the balance/swing weight....Titleist uses different head weights for different lengths.... The Mil Spec is a Newport head style (not newport #2) but it does have a sight line which is a nice touch. The hosel looks nice...It is probably the sharpest looking/smoothest looking mass market putter in the industry. It is relatively soft due to the pro platinum series nickel plating. Its balance is superb. The feedback/balance and feel are excellent. And since it is a pro platinum series putter, it is low maintenance unlike its Teryllium Series cousins. I work in the golf business...so I didn't pay anywhere near the suggested retail (i.e. PUD)...but anyhow...it is worth the money considering how important a putter is...and how much golfers spend on titanium drivers and fairway woods....*SIGH* if only i had one of the true Scotty Cameron tour models that Gypsy Golf sells in the $1000; $2000; and $3000 range. You know Scotty even gives putters to people like Maury Povich???

Customer Service

Very Good Customer servive (titleist) but don't fool yourself into thinking that it is anywhere as hospitable as Callaway Golf's. Callaway has the best end user (that means for you the customer not just for a golf business)customer service. Callaway's customer service is head and shoulders above the entire golf industry.

What an awesome putter! I tried this putter out a few weeks prior to when I purchased it and thought "Wow, I've got to have this!"...then I looked at the price tag which was $250 and put it down on my "wish list". Well I went to my local golf shop yesterday and tried out the putter again along with a few others, an Odyssey White Hot #2 was one of them. Both are excellent putters, however I liked the feel of the Newport a bit more, as well as the distance control on longer putts. The balance is simply incredible! It was a tough decision but I decided to go with the Newport and I have no regrets whatsoever. I got it brand new for $180. Considering putting is about 60% of the game, I feel it was well worth it. Why is it that most people will spend anywhere from $200-400 for a driver(s), but not invest in a quality putter? If you're really serious about improving your putting, take one of these for a test drive.

I got this putter for Christmas, what a gift! The Scotty Cameron series of putters are the best in the biz, and this work of art is the cream of the crop of the Cameron line. The Mil-Spec starts with a standard Anser style head with a plumbers neck. Not a crappy Mid-Slant neck. Also the putter is CNC milled for a truer roll. The feel is solid, not too soft, or too hard, the only word that comes to mind is solid. If you want to get a top of the line putter, this is the one you should try. You don't have to be a scratch handicap to appreciate a quality putter such as a Cameron. Remember quality products cost a little more.

I allways had problems with puttig, i tryed some ping models, the Newport Two but it ended with the Duval. Great feel, great style, i bought another Duval because of the limitation, so if anybody will steal it, i have one in reserve.

Outstanding balance. Perhaps the best balanced putter I've ever used. Although heel-toe weighted, this putter is not terribly forgiving. It does have excellent distance control, and as I become more comfortable with the feel, I really like it.

I would highly recommend playing this putter. I have a TeI3 with a pro platinum finish and it has an amazing feel. Though I have tried both the TeI3 and platinum putters, I prefer the feel of a TeI3 over the platinum. My putter is a happy medium between the two. There are no gimmicks behind this putter, just quality craftsmanship.

First things first, if you can't putt, work on your stroke before plunking $250 on a putter.

With that said, this is an outstanding stick. The custom fitting that is available with the Mil-Spec line should not be discounted, it makes a difference. If your stroke works, get fitted, this putter can only help. The advantage this putter has given me can be summed up in one word, confidence. I now approach every putt as if I am going to hole it, what a great feeling. This confidence has also effected my iron play. I no longer have to attack every pin because I know I am good for no more than 2 putts. Balance of the club is great, distance control is awesome, and an overall feel that explains why there are so many of these putters on tour.

The real testimonial for this putter is that after about 2 months of play, 2 of my 3 playing partners have went out a bought this club because they are tired of giving me their money.

Well i said to myself , 250 is WAY to much for a putter. but after a conversation with a pro he said which club do you use the most. after a round a golf i counted and i used my putter at least twice a hole. Now considering i use my putter twice as much as any other club. 250 seems a little more appealing. Well i went to the store and tried the Mil Spec. Needless to say the putter hhas an excellent feel and balance. it is not quite as "GREAT" as it is hyped to be. however it is still an excellent putter. I put will confidence now. Recomment the putter to anyone who plays the game and has money to burn. However look to buy one and ebay or online. you can prolly get one under $100.
