Fantastic putter! I was skeptical of the high price tag at first, but luckily I was able to demo it my local course before buying. It was the best feeling putter i've ever used. Took me a week or so to get comfortable with the weight (34in shaft, 15g weights in heal and toe). But within the first day I was holing a lot more putts, and my distance control was noticeably better. Given the heavier putter head, you can be more aggressive with your putts. The putts tend to come off the blade fast, roll smooth and true, and then stop quickly near the hole.

This Putter works very well for me. I previously used the studio style newport 2 which is a great putter as well, however I seemed to have better "touch" with this putter. On missed puts to the right or left of the hole, the 2.5 was 50% closer to the hole than the 2 for me on average. keep in mind im taling about a miss by 2-5 inches with the newport 2 putter.

The negative reviewers are drunk. Either that, or they couldn't putt if they were the reincarnated souls of Bobby Locke.

I have had and sold almost every quality putter known in my quest for a putter that could give me consistent 2 putt ability on the course. No complaints about the quality (see list below) or customer service of the putters I have had, but I could not buy a two putt. I was always a 3-4 putter. Admittedly my own lack of putting skills and not the putters fault. Through my search for a putter that would suit me, the Cameron Futura Phantom had been the gamer so far.
Customer Service No need so far. Similar Products Used: Cameron Red X (both heel and center) shaft. Futura Phantom. Detour (both heel and center shaft). Studio Style 2 (anser type). Ping Redwood Anser. Yes Tracy, Olivia, Emma and one other I forget the name. Odyssey 2 ball (old non SRT version-heel shaft). Odyssey Black No. 1 (anser style). odyssey steel insert mallet (heel shaft). Guerin Rife mallet (offset and straight shaft). Bobby Grace M1 (anser style). The list is embarrassingly long. |

Okay heres the deal, there is nothing special about these putters except for the price. I got mine as a gift from my father after he had his worst putting season ever with it. I have to say that my results where the same. I wanted to like this putter because it is dead sexy and everytime im at the course i get complaments on its good looks but it just isnt the best putter for me. I have allot better luck with center shafted putters and prefer odyssey's #2 and #8 white hots over this one and i even putted better with my old Ping B60. Im not trying to say that this is a bad putter but rather im saying that its nothing special either and for the price they charge for these i expected something more. If your interested in buying one for the snob factor then YES this putter grabs peoples attention with its giant bright yellow head cover though the slot for the "pivot" tool is garbage as i lost the tool day one and dont plan to replace it for the $35 they charge for another one (again, what are you paying for REALLY?). |

There's no magic in these putters. Many of the Camerons are styled after Ping putters but cost 3 times as much. I've played several rounds using the newest style Newport 2.5 and last year's model as well. These putters perform no better than my inexpensive Ping Zing 2 putter that I bought used for $20.00 nine years ago. I can't fault the craftsmanship or good looks of the Cameron lineup. However, I feel that these putters are targeted at those who want to "buy" a good putting stroke. Unless you're playing all the time, the dreaded 3-putt is inevietable and I don't want to be the one with a $300 putter in my hands when it happens.
