Ok, I'm writing this review because I think this is a great putter. I'm not a great golfer, but this is the only club that I haven't replaced. I think this club is better than all of those insert putters, like Odyseey white hot 5. Those inserts I think cause you to lose the feel of the club.
For the current price of this club, it's a steal. As good as anything out there. But one on EBay for cheap.

I have used this putter for years and still appreciate the alignment and feel. It's the only club that I have NOT replaced in my bag. It's a great buy if you can find one now. (Just saw it advertised for $19.99!!!)Aug. 13,2000

Tried this putter when my faithful 8802 began acting up 3 weeks ago. Its superbly balanced and with tis Zebra stripes very easy to align. A 25 year old classic. One advantage the Deep Face model has over the standard one is I think it looks more confidence inducing from 12 foot and in and its easier to use from the apron. The disadvantage is unlike the standard issue you cannot unscrew the soleplate and add or subtract weight for feel. The deepface is a very good lag putter as well ,but you have to be careful even for experienced players its very easy just to overhit the long approach putts. Heel and toe hits by the wya, feel less solid but still get the ball up there. Better for mid speed greens and in my view easier to use uphill and on relatively level surfaces than downhill and across slopes

What a great putter! I love the many lines on top. This is great for alignment on those putts that you have a strong chance of making. I'm a real fan of the mallet style putters because I believe there's more weight in the head of the putter. Now, I rarely ever leave the ball short of the hole. I got mine for about $65 and you should go get one, too!! It'll definitely help that pesky short game.

Excellent update of a classic putter. If you like the zebra, try the teardrop roll face version....makes one the best putters on the market perhaps the best. Either old or new, one of the easiest putters to align.

I got this putter recently for about $70, and it must be one of the most easy to use putters I have come across [and believe me, I've tried just about every one]. The 5 alignment lines on the black or white head [I bought the white head as the lines stand out more] just allow you to know where the ball will go, especially on breaky greens. The feel of the ceramic head is top notch, a nice click, and a good feedback. By far the coolest thing about this putter is that you can unscrew the bottom and add weights which are given to you with the putter if you want it heavier, so this putter is very versatile. Two obvious problems I've noticed are distance control, as you've really got to give the ball a good thwack to get it going to the other end of the green, and the white model gets dirty easily. The face balancing makes it a great putter 12 feet and in, and this putter is very smooth when swung. If you buy this, it may just be your ticket to turn the green from a suburb of hell to a dance floor!

I could sell these putters. I don't miss from 4 feet and I've dribbled in innumerable above the hole putts that really wows 'em here at altitude where the greens are really fast.

I bought this putter about 3 years ago because I have a tendency to leave the ball short, particularly on lag putts (a common occurence with a 10-15 Hcap. Although it is relatively accurate within the 6-8 foot range, the Zebra sacrifices ""feel"". The roll is very true, when struck properly the ball will dive into the hole, however, it has not resolved my most important concern, which is virtually eliminating 3-putts from 50 plus foot range. I may as well be putting with wool mittens on my hands since the mallet reduces feedback dramatically. I will, however, continue on my quest for the ""perfect mallett"" since this will reduce the ""leave it short"" syndrome. I am currently looking at the Carbite Polar Balanced but have yet to demo the club. I will let you know.

I think the longevity of this club speaks for itself. I have used it for years and on the Florida Tours made a good living. Excellent putter.
