Ping O Blade
I love old Ping putters. They always are true and straight. The only problem is with the people who fail to live up to Ping's quality.

Ping O Blade
Putting always came easy - I could putt great with a 2$ putter - and did. It could have been a hockey stick and the putts would just roll in. But I wanted the best putter I could find. I bought my Ping O Blade new about 30 years ago. Putters are like wives, find the one you want to spend the rest of your life with and fooling around with others is just stupid. I have recently purchased 2 more used O Blades just in case something happens to the one I'm married to. You can do that with putters, not so much with wives. |

Ping O Blade Putter
I started playing golf about a year and a half ago... In my quest to shoot better scores, I have tried several different putters, as you can see from my "Similar Products Used" enteries. I really like the Nike Unitized Techo Putter- It is center shafted and has a nice feel. I thought I had found the best putter for me but I was WRONG! I came across this older Ping O-Blade Putter, and was intrigued because it was center shafted. I read some time ago that while newer golf clubs are light years ahead of older clubs, the only exception is putters. I picked this putter up for $20 and have been blown away by how AWESOME of a putter it is! It just feels like how a putter should! Now I either sink my putts or get them close- hardly ever 3 putt! This is AS GOOD as any other putter out there! PING got it right 20 years ago! Similar Products Used: Odyssey White Hot XG7, Odyssey Dual Force Rossie II, Odyssey Tri-Ball, Nike Unitized Techno Putter. |

The weakest part of my game has always been my putting. I spent big money on a Odyessey tri-putter(three ball). I was quite often 3 putting my holes. i spent £10 on a second hand ping o blade from a golf shop, yes it came with no headcover and needed a new £5 grip but it is by far my best club that i have in my bag. i no longer 3 putt and more than often 1 putt most holes now.It may not work for everyone but i certainly noticed that i am playing better with a blade putter than the new style large headed putters. |

O Blade
If you like simple no-nonesense blade putters then this often forgotten classic is worth trying. It is a remarkably easy putter to line up and despite its age (i guess Ping introduced this model 20+ years ago)it has a nice feel. The thing I like most about it is that you immediately know what sort of stroke you have put on it.Very rewarding as when I hit good putts they go exactly where I aim.I guess in this modern era a lot of golfers like BIG putter-heads, however if your a blade man/woman then try the O Blade from Ping as it is the real deal. You can pick them up 2nd hand for not much and I really believe this is a great putter that compares well with modern counterparts. |
