Ping G2i CRAZ-E Putters

Ping G2i CRAZ-E Putters

DESCRIPTION

  • Full Face Insert using G2i Technology: Full-face G2i insert increases the sweet spot and provides optimum feel
  • Optigraphic Alignment System: Contrasting blue double crescent urethane components, along with extra long sight line, increase the golfer's ability to align the putter to the target
  • Center of Gravity Positioning: Geometrically designed to have a CG which is very low and pulled back away from the face to get the ball rolling sooner and straighter for more consistent putts
  • Optimum MOI: Majority of the weight is strategically distributed (through center openings and urethane components) near the heel, toe, and back of putter. This weight distribution around the perimeter of the putter results in a very high MOI for more consistent putts
  • Weighs 348 grams, will have an extra long sight line, double bend shaft, and is face balance

For the last year, I have been missing the 3 to 5 foot putts. Tried changing grip, stance, switched putters that I own. Nothing helped. I bought the Ping G2-craz-e on Ebay figuring I had nothing to lose. I have missed one putt out of probably 25 3 to 5 footers since I bought the Ping. Wished I'd found it earlier in the year. I'd rate it 5 out of 5.

Model Reviewed: Ping G2i Craz e

Prior to purchasing this Ping, I thoroughly researched the field and tried the majority of the Odyseey two-ball (White and DFX) lines, as well as others, after deciding that it was finally time to make a change after using an anser style putter for 20 years. The G2i Craz e (Center Shaft) was far and away the clear choice for me, and I believe, any pendulum-swing golfer like myself. The design inspires confidence as you can feel the increased MOI, and the alignment guides are purely delightful. The guides let you know instantly when you are not drawing the putter back on a square plane. The solid, beautifully balanced weight helps promote a nice, balanced slow stroke that I feel will be the key for me to reaching my goal of breaking 80. Ping quality speaks for itself. I found the insert just perfect and you get the desired feedback from the ball without it being too soft or spongy. Of course, 'try before you buy', but most definitely 5 stars out of 5 in my books!

The following may sound negative but it really isn't really a bad putter . I found it easy to line up , but some how didn't instill confidence perhaps it's the , in all honesty , stupid looking appearance , the weighting is good but the feel off the face is not particularily appealing . My overall opinion of this club is that it OK , at best . But very much overpriced and I'm sure you could get better for the price , I plan on replacing mine quite soon .

Customer Service

This putter is awesome i tried it out on my local course and fell in love with i was sinking 20 footers. I could never do that with my old putter. All my putts now come within 5 inches of the hole. The feel is unbeliveable unlike like any putter i ever tried. I also like the way Ping desinged it i can use the back of the putter to pick up my balls with ease.Another thing is the the magentic head cover which means no more bending down (like i dont need to) but Ping is always trusted in my bag and hopefully yours too. Happy Golfing

Model Reviewed: As advertised

Every two-putt I now one-putt, and I never three-putt anymore thanks to this beauty. HIGHLIGHTS: --Smoothness: This putter is perfectly balanced and perfectly weighted. I do not have to struggle to keep the clubhead from sagging at the toe through the swing. This allows for a very square, on line impact. --Feel: This club putts the ball the distance you feel it should. The amount of swing you put into it translates EXACTLY into the distance the ball travels. The ball never feels “knocked around” or “shot” off the end of the flatstick; it feels more “smooshed” toward the hole. --Targeting. I was like Ty Webb trying out this club. Working in the golf store, everything was da-na-na-na-na-na-na in the hole. Out on the course, it was a similar story. I holed close putts, I holed long putts, I was able to put nearly all my putts within three feet of the hole. I immediately shaved ten strokes off my game with this putter. --BONUS: Comes with the coolest headcover in the game: a magnetic-closure leather job that absolutely means business. DRAWBACKS: --Loft. I was coming off a Billy Barou style flat-blade putter. Using a lofted putter took some getting used to . . . but the adjustment period was small --Price. A bit pricy, but I love this putter. SUMMARY: A natural feeling, lofted, albeit expensive putter that everyone should try at least once. May not make everyone happy, but sure feels like a million bucks.

I am a great fan of Ping products and was looking for a new putter to aid alignment. Distance on long putts is good, but I could improve from six feet. Was pleased to have opportunity to demo Craz-E model, but it disappointed. The unusual "click" sound plus the great difficulty in judging distance made for an off-putting impression.

This is by far the worst putter I have used in my 20 years of golfing. I bought this for a golf trip and left my Futura home - what a mistake! This is a heavy hunk of metal that has no feel. I sold it on e-bay 3 days later. Ping can do much better.

Very goooooooood! Just bought the putter on friday and went out and played on the weekend. I had 25 putts, and I was not exactly knocking down the pin. I have had every putter made it seems. For my putting stroke, the MOI putter fits me best. Weight, looks, feel, and most importantly, response. The whole face is forgiving. Lines up beautifully. Try every other putter first. Then try this. You'll understand!
