Ping Doc 15.5L
I got this putter used online. After a season of putting woes I decided to try a long putter to break my funk. After some research I decided to try the Doc. I had looked at other doc putters in golf stores and they always interested me, they're just so different than anything out there. The massive head doesn't seem so unusual when paired with a 47" shaft. Having no experience with a long putter it took some experimentation and practice to get used to. Once you get a feel for the size of the putter (length, weight, and head size) you start to notice how nicely this thing rolls the ball. Distance control might be hard to get a feel for, but it's almost impossible to push/pull a putt with it, as with everything it's a trade off. It definitely get's second looks from other players, and almost everyone wants to putt a few with it. Some people think it's ridiculous, some just funny, and some look at it like it could be the answer to their prayers. It wasn't the cheapest club I've ever bought, but it's fairly rare to see one, and most long putters command a higher price tag, I doubt it will loose much value though.
