Love this putter. The black look is amazing and the feel is incredible. Found it on ebay for £99 which is good as they retail for £200... If you have trouble keeping you putter arc smooth then this is the one to try... well worth it...

Model Reviewed: Ping Craz-E G2i

I won a competition in a gof magazine and a Ping Anser G2i was the first prize. I paid extra cash to upgrade to the Craz-E version. In terms of directional stability, the putter is very good, but as with other reviewers, the face is far too soft for feel on long puts. What makes it even worse for me is that I play with Titleist Pro V1 balls, which feel soft anyway and also, the course I play has slow greens. However, it may be OK for fast greens or players who use hard feeling balls. I wish that Ping had made this putter without an insert, then for me, it would be great.

I will comment on the blue Winn grip which was originally fitted. Why oh why do most of the putter manufacturers get "conned" into using such lousy grips. I'm sure they use Winn grips because they can get them in eye-catching vivid colours, so it looks good in the golf shop. Once these grips are used on the golf course, they start flaking and get dirty looking after only a few rounds. I soon had to change the grip and I fitted a black rubber Ping wrap grip, which has lasted a couple of years already.

Customer Service

None needed except to get rid of that lousy Winn grip and fit a decent rubber grip.

Model Reviewed: Karsten Series Craz-E

I decided to replace my Ping B60 after several years due to the fact that I kept missing short 3-4 foot putts. The Craz-E is much larger and heavier adding stability and visual alignment features that the smaller blade style putters cannot offer. I went so far as to take both putters to the course and compare them side by side to make sure I had made the right decision. Without a doubt, I would recommend the Craz-E to any of my friends struggling with their putting or looking to make some minor improvements. I am very happy with my purchase and look forward to many years with my new Ping.

Customer Service

Ping is well known for their customer service and club fitting and should be based on my experience.

I found this putter used, the head was absolutely brand new...tried it out at the golf shop and notice it lined me up great on those "yips" from 5 feet and in...Since playing with this Ping Craz E C the 4-5 footers seem almost automatic (ok, at times). Have broken 80 TWICE (just shot 37 on the front tonight and had 3 putts made 11 feet and in) and it is because of the putter, no doubt at all. KENNY PERRY acclaims his new-found success on the PGA tour to this putter, and, it's worked for me well too (I still have my day job though!) The 10-15 putts are actually dropping more often then before with my Odysey blade.

LOVE IT...highly recommend it -- try to find one !!

I got a karsten craz-e putter about 3 mounths ago. Before that I was using an Acuity putter. With the acuity I was missing very short putts, like 2-3 feet. When I started using the karsten, 3 foot putts turned into tap-ins for me. The only putts that I can't make are ones over 20 feet. But even then I can get them close enough for a tap-in. I highly recommend the Craz-e putter and I suggest you atleast go and try a demo.

I have always sucked at putting - and I hate to practice putting. I have only owned 3 putters and I'm 48 and playing for 35 years. I decided that missing everything outside 3 feet required a change. At my club I tried several, then the Ping G5 Craz-e. Whoa - I started to make many inside 6 - 7 feet. Then it almost stopped. I then played a round with the club pro and he told me that with this putter you MUST take a very short backswing (like 10 inches) and follow through big time (he made me practice by putting 2 tees 10 inches behind the putter before putting as a back stop). 2 things changed - 1. my distance was alwasy within a couple of feet (even 30 foot puts) and 2. I sunk most puts < 10 feet than I missed. This is GREAT for me. Thing is - this putter lines you up great and speed is everything - short back and follow through - GOOD STUFF

Model Reviewed: CRAZ-E (L) LONG 48"

IN A WORD "PRICELESS". I have struggled with my putting for years, tracing all the way back to when I was a junior golfer. This is the first putter that I have ever used where the performance carries over from the proshop to the course. Let's face it, they all seem to work on the putting green in the proshop. I was given the O.K. from my wife to purchase 1 more putter with the agreement that she would not have to hear anything negative about my putting or speak of a new putter for 1 year. With this agreement I knew I had to get it right. I've researched long putters for some time but like most was worried what my foursome would say. I have been stubborn for so many years and would not breakdown and admit I have major inconsistencies with my putting stroke. When I picked this up in the store was evident that the long putter was the answer. I would highly reccomend this putter to anyone that has had the same lack of confidence that I have had. The putter lines itself up for you, and due to the length you are forced to finish the stroke (it is more difficult, not impossible to get yippy over the ball). I have used this putter for 2 rounds and 2 practice sessions. The funny thing is that my ball striking has improved as well. I no longer feel as though I have to stuff a wedge to have a realistic putt at birdie. I know feel knock it on the green and I will take my chances from 20 feet, ironically I am stuffing more approaches since the pressure is gone. I am not saying that 3 putts are forever gone or if you purchase this you will become scratch overnight but this putters distance control is second to none. Your percentage of 2 putting will greatly improve when your second putts are within 3 feet.

Customer Service

I have not used Ping's customer service.
I purchesed this putter and many others from Van's Proshop in Tucson AZ. Their 90 day 100% trade in value is second to none. I have never had any issues with trade in's or custom orders. Thanks Jose.

Like every golfer, my putting has always been the weakness in my game. Tee to green I can be amazing, even pulling of shots I have no business making, but even the shortest of putts can bring me to my knees. I had enough, so I went out and spent about three solid weeks researching different putters and playing rounds with as many as I could. I was quite happy with a YES putter that I tried for a couple days, and a white hot two-ball I borrowed was also really nice.
I had always admired PING for their customization of golf clubs and that's what led me to the Craz-e. After only two rounds playing with a demo I went ahead and was fitted for my own by Todd McGrath (Director of Golf at The Cutten Club). After spending only 15 minutes with Todd on a putting green, he had the putter of my dreams ordered and it arrived 4 days later.
Everything about this putter I like; the weight is just what I was looking for. The alinment of the putter is what I call "dummy proof." And the feel of the G5i face is unbelieveable. Best of all thanks again to Todd, the club was built just for me, I really am one with this putter.
I have only had my Craz-e for one golf season, but it was love at first one-putt. There are still some small issues with my putting, but those can't be blamed on the putter. Most importantly worth noting with the Ping Craz-e; if the ball isn't in the hole, its tap-in close. I think this putter has successfully eliminated my three putt syndrom.

Customer Service

Everything to do with buying this putter, from the fitting, to actually picking it up was great!! The Cutten Club Pro Shop staff are amazing, thanks again to Todd and his entire team.

Model Reviewed: Ping G2 craz-e

I have to say that any Ping products I have tried or purchased in the past had always exceeded my expectations. When I sold my trusty Odyssey 2 ball and "upgraded" my putter I tried virtually all mallet style putters. The Craz-e fit everything I was looking for. I could hardly wait for the golfing season to start.

Now 1 year later, my enthusiasm has disappeared. I love the alignment of this putter, the look at address, but the feel off the face is poor. The distance control and feel outside 14 feet is uncomfortable. A very forgiving putter, off center hits are not punished and the head design is almost point and shoot with a satisfying sound of the ball falling in the hole. But long putts are really difficult to gauge. It almost seems as if there is no velocity off the face - I really had to give it a good smack to get it to move.

I since have tried the G5 Craz-e and what a difference! Maybe Ping had similar complaints from customers but by slightly changing the insert I now wish I had the G5 version. I even tried my G2 with the G5 and could see a huge difference.

I currently use a Ben Hogan Hawk which I really like but I miss the confidence the Craz-e gave me with alignment and mid-distance putts. The only reason I switched was because of the problem with longer distance putts.

My opinion is, ignore the G2 version (even if its a great deal) and try/purchase the G5 Craz-e. No perfect score for this putter due to my disappointing experience with the G2 version.
