After some awful putting experiences lately I decided to try out a White Steel Center Shafted. To help alignment even more, I have added circles on the head similar to those on the Titleist Red X2. After dropping a 15 footer on the first (with no practice), and continuing to make putts all day, this is now officially my Magic Putter. Great feel, no distance problems at all.

Model Reviewed: White Steel 2-ball

I demo'd this putter and the regular white hot 2 ball for about an hour and decided on the white steel. I've never been a fan of the "insert" putters as they seemed to be inconsistent speed wise. I'd find a hot spot and the ball would rocket. This putter is deadly inside of 15 feet, damn near automatic inside 6. As opposed to some other reviewers, I've found this putter to be very speed consistent which is where I felt the white hot was not quite as good. I have not had many long putts (30+ ft.) as of yet with this putter so can't accurately judge how well it does on lagging. This putter has drastically improved my putting to this point, hopefully it's a permanent improvement.

n/a, but Callaway (parent company) has a top-notch rep.

Model Reviewed: White Steel 2 Ball Blade

I hit this putter and regular White Hot 2 Ball Blade for about a half hour each. Clearly, I like the 2 ball alignment and weight of the blade. However, I ended up buying the White Hot. I felt that the insert on the White Steel made for a very inconsistent feel. On soft putts struck right in the center, this putter is fantastic. However, if you have to stroke the ball a little harder or if you even SLIGHTLY mis-hit this club, it has a splashy, almost plasticy feel. If you are the most consistent putter to ever grace God's green Earth, buy this. If not, check out the White Hot, DFX, or Rossa Monza.

Model Reviewed: Odyssey White Steel 2 Ball

Let me first say that no putter can make a anyone a great putter. Putting is a skill that takes lots of practice. Remember, it's you that control the putter and not the other way around. And this Odyssey White Steel let's itself be controlled very easily and accurately. The feeling is fantastic, it's accurate, doesn't require a big backswing, hence the accuracy, the release of the ball off the face is hot while you're in control and the sound is crisp. This putter actually taught me how to putt much better. Not (only) because of the 'between the ears factor' but the weight and balance let you feel the right swing. Hitting this marvel is addictive. The ball starts to roll immediately. You can't go wrong with this one!!! For anyone not minding the less traditional look of a 2 ball putter it's really a must try. You won't be disappointed. Of course there are lots of other fine putters out there, but this one stays in my bag for a long time to come.

Model Reviewed: Odyssey White Steel 2 Ball

I am a putter junkie. Purchased the new White Steel 2 Ball Putter and played a few rounds with it. Think of an .860 COR in a putter, and you have the idea. The ball leaps off of the face extremely hot. Putts that would normally die at the cup or within 12" beyond finish 6 feet away. Great putter for light taps within 6-8 feet as the ball will carry to the hole with a very light stroke. However, beyond that distance, the putter is like a rocket without a brake. The ball also leaves the face slightly airborne which is a problem with many putters. It actually hops off of the face and then settles for the roll. It is accurate as far as line goes, but distance is extremely difficult to control. Get a Bobby Grace, Bettinardi or Cameron for not that much more and you will have a much better and versitile weapon in the bag.

2 rounds with this putter, so just a quick initial opinion. Putter is very accurate, like the changes, but "BE CAREFUL!" this putter is extremely head heavy!! Swing weight on my 35" is E7!! When a putt is well struck, ball will hug the ground nicely, BUT, when you think it will stop, it goes another couple of feet!! Didn't check the swingweight on the 33" or 34" but this might be an option to cut down excess head weight. I'm using mine chocked up 1 to 1 1/2" for more control. Still, I like it very much and will figure out how to control it, eventually.
