Odyssey White Hot Putters

Odyssey White Hot Putters

DESCRIPTION

Features an insert made from the same material as Callaway's "Rule 35" Ball. When machined into a putter, the cover material provides both a softer feel and pleasing sound, while maintaining consistent distance control and responsiveness.

Great putter for feel and distance control on those long putts. I have a strict pendulum stroke and it stays online nicely. Even weighting. Its soft and the ball rolls off the face nicely. My only knock is that low compression balls dont roll as evenly as Id like. But every other ball does for me at least. I like this a lot better than my Taylor Made Rossa that I was using.

Model Reviewed: Macro Putter

Just got a hold of a new putter on the recommendation of a friend - he saw some players using it on the Senior Tour...kinda odd looking but it works...boy does it work. I got it direct at their website www.macrogolf.com I think you can also get it through The Golf Warehouse www.tgw.com for around $160. Basically, it meant that I had to change a few things about my putter stroke but it worked....Macro Golf claims it should be used with a split grip hold and it prevents wrist breakdown...as far as I can tell this is how it works (but I can't be very sure - but they claim it has been used on the PGA Tour sooo I guess the pro's might have a different explanation): 1. Prevents you from wobbling and taking the putter offline on the backswing and the follow-through 2. Creates a solid pendulum motion - really smooth 3. Relaxes the grip. The results are stunning...don't know why someone hasn't come up with something like this before. Your putts are online. The only thing I have to focus on is getting the read on the green. I think I can creidt it with taking at least a putt a round off my score. I get much closer to the cup and have less three putts. Construction is good quality....and it has nice lines....just looks very different - though I even think it's difference is cool. Certainly gets attention. Pro's: - Good feel - Very accurate - Take's away the jitters - Keeps the club face online and square - Actually improves your putting (not just a fancy metal head) Con's - Very different looking - Limited availability and limited options - only 2 heads to choose from (as far as I can tell - not in my local pro shop)

Customer Service

Don't know - haven't had any need to call them - the website is pretty clear.

This putter is the one. I have tried the Taylor Made Imola and Ping Gi2 Anser putters. They don't stand a chance. This is the best putter I have ever used, and I haven't 3-putted since I have used it. Model #6 has a line running down the middle, which really helps with your set-up. I would buy this model again in a heartbeat.

Customer Service

Haven't had to use, but Odyssey/Callaway is usually great.

Great!! That's the only word you can describe it with. And for the people who don't like it, they're just bad putters, and no club can work miracles on them

I prefer the classic appearance of this putter (similar to the old Wilson 8802 and Cleveland Designed By putters). If you like a soft feeling putter and prefer to toe putt then this putter is for you. If you prefer a hotter and harder feeling putter then you might want to look at a Taylor Made Rossa putter (I considered the Maranello Tour 8-01 because it has a somewhat classic look but it's too hard for me). The only thing missing from the putter is at least some kind of line on the head for alignment - I grooved the center of the top edge for something to line up the marker line on my ball with.

Customer Service

I live in the same city as Callaway's head office and a friend of mine works there so whenever I've had a Callaway question I've been able to bypass the actual customer service route.

This putter is very weird and unstable. Sometimes, it comes off the face hot, but sometimes it feels like a dull thud and it doesn't go anywhere.

This putter is the best putter i've laid my hands on!! (no joke) The feel of this putter is incredible. It didn't take long to get used to, in fact only a couple of holes. The first time i used this putter in a comp i had 26 putts. Although rather pricy, it is definately worth it. This putter is a must for any player seeking the ultimate in feel and control.

previously i used a two-ball odyssey which i like, however i felt i was more suited to a traditonal model. Prior to the two-ball i had a ping answer which was also decent, except poses as no competition to the white hot#1

Model Reviewed: White Hot 2 - Centre Shaft

A simple review for a very simple putter. This putter is so easy to align to the target, the centre shaft with no offset really promotes a straight stoke with a nice follow through towards the hole. The insert has a soft feel too it but it doesn't feel muted or dull, just very solid. I've had various putters before including a second hand 2 -ball. None of those putters come close to this one. It inspires confidence when faced with those 'should sink' 4-5 footers. What I would like to see is this model transfered into the DFX series with the black finish, as I feel this will make the putter sit even nicer behind the ball.

I disagree with a few of the last posts, the face is designed to give you a soft feel. I just to always blow my buts past the hole and with the odessey am always close. It is consitent and it has great balance. I do agree with one thing it is hard to play on very slow greens at the cheaper courses but on fast greens on any real golf course it is great.
