Odyssey White Hot Putters

Odyssey White Hot Putters

DESCRIPTION

Features an insert made from the same material as Callaway's "Rule 35" Ball. When machined into a putter, the cover material provides both a softer feel and pleasing sound, while maintaining consistent distance control and responsiveness.

Overall very nice feel. When used with the Callaway balls it provides an even truer roll (Callaway claims the ball stays on the putter longer allowing for a more accurate putt, which I can attest to).

However, one drawback is that the club almost has too much of a soft feel. Measuring distance for long putts proved to be difficult, either left it too long or too short. I would strongly suggest anyone who is considering this putter to play a few rounds with it to determine if they like the soft feel of this club. On fast greens this is a great putter, but on slower ones, it proves difficult.

Pros: fair price, excellent feel

Cons: difficult to get a feel for long putts

Alternatively I would suggest the Scotty Cameron Pro Platinum Series for those looking for an excellent all around putter, on all types of greens.

Wish I could get same results as other reviewers, but I get absolutely no feeling or feed back from this putter. I have no distance control at all, and I would say this club costs me 2 strokes per round. Try before you buy and if it works for you thats great. With all the great reviews it gets, it must be my putting style.

THIS IS THE BEST PUTTER I'VE EVER TRIED, I HIT THE PUTT SOLIDLY AND EVERY SHOT I HIT WENT IN THE HOLE. IT IS LIGHT BUT A BIT EXPENSIVE. I ALSO DROVE WITH THE PUTTER AND I HIT IT BETTER THAN I DID WITH A DRIVER

The number 5 has the best visual at setup than any other putter I have tried. This is it's greatest asset. You can see the line and you can see the swing path.

The second best thing about this putter is the way the ball rolls off the club face. Switching to it has dramatically cut my putting average per round.

Early on, I left too many putts way short. I was on line like you would not believe, but came up short due to the soft insert. This took some getting use to. After committing some practice with this putter, I am now getting great results. I know that I just lost some of you by stating that, but know that I also practiced a great deal with my other putter, but did not get half the results.

For me, the only other putter that is superior to the #5 is scotty cameron's pro platinum del mar 3.5 at $250 plus!

At about $100 or less (at ebay), you can have a great putter that can help you cut strokes off your game. Switching to this odyssey mallot design was one of the best things that I have done for my game!

Now 2-putting instead of 3-putting. Easy to get the right speed. Watch out for putting with an overly soft ball, as the insert is relatively soft as well. Typical top-flite xl 2000 putts well with this stick.

I have just recently purchased this putter. Although i need more work with it is a smooth soft feeling putter. I suggest this putter to any and all who wants a putter with a more true feel. I like everything about the putter I think its cool that the face is made with the actual cover of the callaway rule 35 ball which seems to make it feel like a better insert
