Can't say enough good things about this putter and in particular, the style #4 which is a semi-mallet. I tried the #1 2 days ago on the basis of some phenomenal putts achieved on the store's putting gree. But out on the course I found the #1 to be a bit too light for those 4 footers. Didn't inspire confidence. So back to the store where I exchanged it for the semi-mallet. What a difference! The added headweight made for more accurate short puts. I just felt like I could sink anything inside of 8 feet. Similar Products Used: Carbide Z mallet, Scotty Cameron but only extensively on the store greens. |

I tried this new putter. It seemed to have a very good feel on the indoor practice green. When I played in the real world, it didn't have a god feel. It seemed to have a funny clunck sound wen i hit the ball. I must have missed 5/2footers that round. I then went to the practice green and putted, hit different balls, etc. The bottom line is "the white hot spot is too soft, there doesn't seem to be a true sweet spot" Similar Products Used: Ping |

Odyssey White Hot Putter #1
Highly recommended. I switched from an Odyssey Rossie II (mallet style putter) and much prefer this one for several reasons: my distance control is much, much better (the weakest part of my putting), it gives better feedback on off-center hits (which helps to improve hitting the ball on the sweet spot), and for some reasons shorter putts (five feet and in) are easier to make. Overall, the putter just gives me better feel compared to what I was using. I also thought the Rossie II was too heavy. The only advantage the Rossie had was that off center hits didn't lose too much distance compared to the white hot, probably because of the extra weight. Similar Products Used: Odyssey Rossie II |

I recently bought the #5 putter and love it. It is a great putter that puts steady. You have to get used to it because it is a little soft and you need to put soft to be successful. I would greatly recommend this putter. I like it better than the other styles because it is a small mallet and is not too big so it gives you the best of both worlds. Best putter I tried, and I have tried many. Not only was it good in the store, but great on an actual putting green as well. Stopped three putting thanks to this. This is the real thing, not just hype. Try it, you'll love it. Didn't think I would like it either because I'm not an Odyssey fan, but this is different. Should be able to find it for under $110 too. White Hot #5
It's hard to give a putter review without adding way too much subjective information. I have always preferred mallet style putters, such as the Zebra. The optics of a mallet are pleasing to my eye, which means I tend to have better alignment with these types of putters. The White Hot #5 is a rather small mallet with very subtle optics, yet I have the same type of alignment success with it. It's the perfect comprimise between a standard putter and mallet. Now for that white insert material made from the Callway golf ball. Well, when I first heard about this putter I thought it must be the biggest gimmick ever. However, using this putter for a few weeks now, I must say it has helped me develop a better touch by using it. My missed putts are much closer to the hole. I have also started dropping more 20+ footers. What can I say? It sets up great for me visually, the ball rolls off the face smoothly, and I make more putts. Give one a test drive, I think you'll like it. Only complaint is that it's a rather light putter, which I may resolve by experimenting with some lead tape. Perhaps they will release a TriForce version of the White Hot models that will be heavier - if they do I will shell out the $'s to get one. Similar Products Used: None |

This is a great putter, one of the best investments i've put into my bag.I have always been the one to like the insert putters, and this s the best one i've tried. The insert is made out of the cover of the Callaway golf balls and allows you to lightly tap it on long putts because the insert is firm(depending on speed of greens). So,this is a great putter and think everyone would like it.
