White Hot 2 ball 35@
I got this for a good price second hand in excellent condition. A couple of my playing partners started using this putter and it made a huge difference to their games. I tried it briefly and really liked the feel of it. So after a couple of hours on the practice green I realized that I had to have this putter. On long putts I find it easy to line up and judgement of distance was great right from the start, which I was surprised by considering I hadnt been using a soft insert on my previous putter. On short putts the 2-ball was very easy to align, whether it is the 2 balls or not I dont know, but the ball always starts where I intend it to. This putter really encourages a straight back and through stroke. i feel much more confident with this in my hands and it means I can attack my putts more, as I have the confidence on the ones back. It is not a miracle cure. You still have to read the greens, judge the pace and put a ood stroke on the ball. But this putter does make all that easier in my eyes. Only one complaint, the price. They are not as expensive as before with the new models now on the market, but if it stays in my bag for a couple of years then it will save me money in the long run. Overall a great putter. |

i bought this putter a day before i played in a tournament. my friend and i are 15 years old and we took fourth out of a hundred teams shooting a 74 . the two ball was amazing i was draining putts left and right i used to have a little bit of trouble with my alignment but the two ball inserts are so easy to line up, its a little heavier then what i used to play with and it has a good feel to it, it was a little spendy but well worth it i dropped four or five strokes. recommended!!! I have--what?--7 putters. Titleist Newport 2, Ping Anser, Anser 2, Eye 2, Zing 2, Wilson 8802....... The 2 Ball beats them all hands down at this point. Never putted with a mallet before. This thing is so easy to hit square. While once I was "disturbed" by the discs, I've come to love them. They aid alignment significantly. I've only 3 putted 3 greens in the last 3 rounds. Unbelievable. Pace has always been my biggest issue, but for some reason all my putts are actually getting to the hole instead of 4 feet short. Inside 8 feet? It's a lock. 10-20 feet? Better than even that I'm going to make it. |

This putter is unbelievable! Six-footers aren't even challenging anymore. Just read the break and the ball is in the hole. I have always had a slight paiming/alignment problem that causes me to miss 3-12 footers by just an inch or two with my Ping Anser and Zing. Usually three putted 6-9 holes per 18 and missed alot of par and birdie putts that I should have made. This putter is knocking 4-6 strokes of my scores and I just got it. The price is a little steep but it sure knocked more strokes off my score than the $400 Ping SI3 driver I bought. Similar Products Used: Ping Anser and Ping Zing. |

i bought this putter about a week ago...i got it that cheap because it was used, so i jumped on it! i must say it is the best thing i have done for my golf game. i normally shoot everywhere in the 80s and sometimes extremely low 90s (that's a bad game for me. 90-91) the week before i bought this putter i was using my mizuno tp mills #7 (yes i'm a lefty)...i shot an 84 with that putter two weeks ago, with many 3 putts...i just wasn't able to putt confidently. today i played with the new 2 ball and i shot a 79...the first time i broke 80. i three putted once or twice!!! every other hole i putted twice. the only birdie of the day came without me having to use my putter (go figure). So...all i have to say is that this putter is AMAZING...easy to line up, feels amazing and easy to build confidence with...i was laughing at 6-7 footers!! Note to everyone though....keep an eye out on u'r equipment...there are alot of losers who like stealing clubs which they didn't earn them the proper way!! Similar Products Used: everything!!! |

DFX 33" 2-ball
While I've only been playing golf for the past year, i've tried many different putters. Some on the list have been: Ram mallet, Titleist Bullseye Blade, Scotty Cameron Futura, an original White Hot 2-ball, etc., etc. The original 2-ball was a great putter to use in terms of aim, but I could never get the distance down because the insert was too soft. The only other putter that gave me the best feel on distance was the bullseye blade. But, that putter is difficult at best to aim. Still, throughout the big putter search, I kept going back to the bullseye primarily because of the feel. I even picked up a Futura at 34" and sheared off an inch to get it to fit - BIG MISTAKE - the darned thing was way too light! (Although i do understand they make a heavy head version for Asian markets). I fit a 33" putter, and not many manufacturers make a putter designed for shorter players or players with longer arms. Odyssey is one of the few that does cater to those of us, and so I tried out the DFX when it came out. After learning to loosen up the grip on a 2-ball, and let the putter do the aiming while I concentrated on the distance, the harder insert of the DFX version was a stunning improvement. I picked one up, and while I'm still learning the distance control, my putting has improved. I received many compliments today on my putting performance, and drained a 10 and 15 footer. Others were made easier simply by lagging up close to tap in for a two putt. Simply put, this putter helped me break the hundred barrier, and as I continue to improve, it will continue to be my putter of choice. That is, unless their new 2-ball blade proves to have even better feel than the existing DFX 2-ball. Odyssey, thanks for keeping us shorter players in mind. Customer Service Customer Service, in a word, stunk. They were more interested in the AJ infomercial than helping customers, and the shop wasn't even packed. I'd sooner buy from my usual places, like Puetz in Tacoma, or Caplan in Portland. The pros there rock. I became confident with my putts since I started using this lovely putter. I love the look and feel. With this putter, I had a personal record of 11 putts (that's seven one-putts and two two-putts) for 9 holes. |

I a writing a fallow up review for this putter, I left a review about three months ago. In my last review I stated that I need to draw an alignment line on the putter to help me. The line did help but I just could not seem to get a consistant stroke with this putter. I have given it enough time to realize that this was not the putter for me. Don't get me wrong it is in my opinion one of the better putters out there. BUT I felt that if I wanted to play my best this was not the putter that would let me do that. I have since given it to my uncle. Now I am using a "Scotty Cameron Futura" Now this is, without a doubt the putter for me. I can't begin to discribe the feel of perfect balance, and effortless putt making. But as for the 2 Ball I think that it is a good putter BUT not a great one. if your thinking of buying a 2Ball try the Futura, it might be a little expensive but which other club do you use on every hole? You don't think twice about spending $300-400.00 for a Driver that you may use 14 times at most durring a game. Why noy invest in the best putter money can buy I will gaurentee that you will use it at least 18 times in a game. In a round of golf you are allowed 36 putts (2 putts a hole) and that is on every hole. If you decide to get the 2 Ball, and it works for you? That's great! It just wasn't the putter for me. Good luck! Customer Service did not need it. Similar Products Used: Futura, oddessey, ping anser, and never compromise, Futura is the best yet! |
