Purchased a 5-P set for approx £40 after spending £££s previously on recent irons from all the main manufacturers. After literally hitting around 5 balls I was sold on them. These are the tour version, I've a handicap of 12 and hit these with no issues whatsoever. Fitted with DGS300 shafts offer great stability. I've always used lighter as my swing speed is in the high 80s. However, these work perfectly for me. Their build quality too seems up there with any high end iron and love that there's no fancy badges stuck everywhere just waiting to peel off! They are what they are, solid, reliable, honest and true. I don't see me taking them out of the bag for a long long time.

These are definitely amazing clubs! Distance is about the same as other good clubs I've tried(and, brother, I've tried them all). But where these sticks excel is in the feel and that sweet "click" when you hit it pure. (Doesn't happen that often for us 10-13 handicappers, but when it happens, wow). They also give me more control, less of mis-hits. Thin top line, great cavity back with a progressive weight shift towards the toe in longer irons to help you get the ball airborne.

Have't had to use them.

Very good feel to it.

Great combination of forgiveness and workability.

My last set was X18s and I like the yonex set more, as i found the x18 clubheads to be quite oversized.

I bought these irons for £200. When I looked at them closely, I thought they would be too hard for a 14 handicapper to use. I had a few rounds using them and now i play off 9 and regularly shoot in the 70s. Best irons i've ever bought.

I got these recently brand new in the UK at an unbelievable £120($220)now the cyberstar range is out. I normally buy second hand clubs but thought I'd enjoy new clubs for once. Anyway first impressions, which are important for us shallow homosapiens, was a mixture of "these look serious clubs" and then " these are quite heavy". I'd just finished playing Ping I3's. These reminded me of blades I've played in the past like my old Ram tour grind blades and Mizuno MP33's but being perimeter weighted play like a cavity back with more forgiveness on off shots. They have a narrow sole and top edge is also narrow which I like. They are powerful wands, the S300 shaft works well on these. I'm hitting a more powerful lower trajectory than with the Pings. My ego is also boosted by the look of these against chunky game improver clubs like Callaway and Ping. Yonex are not a big name but a bit like Srixon a few years ago they may break through as they do make good kit. Quite a shiny chrome finish which I wasn't expecting from the stock photos but that helps make them look more traditional. Very uncluttered simple design which suits the golf purists like me. The tungsten weights I couldn't see initially but on close inspection you can just see these inserts on toe and heel. Early days for me with these weapons. May come back and add opine some more when I've had a few games with them. Time to get onboard the birdie bus!

Great set of irons. I got mine at Golf Town about 2 years ago - they were marked down to $400 from $1000 - so I couldn't pass them up. They are not game improvement irons so beginners and high handicappers are better off with something else. The clubs have a great weight to them and they are pretty efficient at letting you work the ball left or right. I slapped some mid-size Golf Pride Dual Durometer grips on them as the original standard grips were to thin for me and I love the result. Yonex isn't very popular or mainstream but they produce high quiality golf equipment that matches or surpasses the big names - at a lower cost. I even bought the matching sand wedge off of Ebay because I liked them so much

Customer Service

I sent an email to inquire about the loft of the matching sand wedge and got an answer the next day.

I couldn't find much review about it, so I have decided to share my 2 cents after using them for 2 years.

I paid was $400 at Golf Town, price took down from over $1000 to $750 to $400. I was looking for a set of forge irons at that time, something that provided feel and forgiveness. First came to mind was Mizuno MX 23, grain flow design, slight offset, bigger sole than most forge iron, and cost over $1000.

I tried them both from the simulator and compared the difference of feel, distance and accuracy on a 7 iron.
Feel was almost the same, crisp, clean and soft. V mass had a tungsten weight design, I can feel where the club was during the setup, and because of that I tended to grip lighter.

Distance wise, they were both about the same too, about 7 iron 162 yards. I wouldn't be able to test their forgiveness as I didn't have whole in the range, but I guess the MX should had better forgiveness from it's design.
From the top view of the V mass, it had better look than MX. I preferred thin blade or square look personally, that's why I never like the Callaway Big bertha irons. I believed that the look of a club had something to do with your swing even there might not be any data to support it.

Yonex might not be a famous brand like TM or Callaway, but they did have long history in making golf equipment. After 2 years of useage, the chrome surface of clubs did held up very good, the groves still gave me plenty of spin, and my friends always thought I had a new set of clubs in my bag. I would recommend it to golfers shooting 80s or better.

Customer Service

One of the tungsten weight came off from the 3 iron. Got replaced in a week. Very good service.
