Wilson Pi5 Performance Irons

Wilson Pi5 Performance Irons

DESCRIPTION

Each iron in the Pi5 series is designed to move a precise amount of mass to the club's periphery, creating maximum forgiveness during off-center hits. The unique back weighting of the Pi5 design goes from an undercut cavity in the long irons to a standard cavity back in the short irons. This design progressively moves the CG location giving players an arsenal of advantages – from a higher flight with more forgiveness to a lower, more controlled ball flight for maximum shot making capabilities – all with the soft feel of 431 stainless construction.

Awesome, awesome, awesome. They say irons aren't for long, they are for straight and that is what these do. They are by far the best value in golf today. My handicap index has dropped from 5.4 to 4.2 in a month. Shot 76, 73 for my first two rounds with them. And during the 73 had a 1-inch birdie putt at a 170 yard par 3- almost holed it! Buy these....got mine used for $140 on ebay- new ther are going for $200-$250. They are great.

Got a new set with DG X100 shafts on EBAY for $185. I've played a couple of rounds with them and have had about 7 or 8 range sessions. I like the clean look of this club. I am able to easily control the distance with the short irons. I normally play a draw, but I am able to hit a fade more accurately with the Pi5's that with my previous irons. My previous set was a 15-yr old set of Wilson Staff FG-51 blades. These look similar to a blade with no discernible offset. The heads are slightly larger that a traditional blade with a slightly thicker topline. I would recommend these clubs to anyone who likes the looks of a blade but wants the forgiveness of a cavity.

I love these irons!! Played with an old set of Wilson Pro Staff for years. Bought these on ebay for $210.00. Best investment I've ever made. I've gained a club on every shot. Now hitting an 8 iron 130 yards! Very sweet feel when I hit it square. Not as forgiving as most out there, but I love them. Excellent clubs

Played dci 962 for 16 years. These clubs are @least 1 club longer and much more forgiving. Great sticks for the money. Actually great sticks period.

Very good irons, not forged but feel very soft when you hit them right. A steal on eBay for new ones around 200 bucks. The PW- 8 iron are more reminiscent of muscle-back irons, while the others are cavity-back. Not for golfers who cannot hit the sweet spot consistently. I just got them for my 16th birthday and I love them. Good feel, distance, and probably one of the best values out there. With a win on the PGA Tour this year, and such a low price, the value is phenomenal. They are workable and somewhat forgiving.

I recently purchased these irons mainly because of the minimal offset and before my last set I played Wilson's (fat shafts) and liked them. I replaced my Taylor Made's with the Pi5's and I must say I love the lower ball flight and the precision I have found with these irons. I originally lost about 5-10 yards but have since got this back. These are the most accurate irons I have played. I have the true temper stiff shaft which I am sure has a lot to due wit it. I love the shot shaping and soft feel. Great Iron!!

Purchase these clubs new on ebay. I usually play blades only but no longer. I just loved these clubs. They are easy to hit the necessary good golfing shots...high,low, fade, draw, etc. I will play blades only because I began with a blade and feel lost without such. These;however, provides the confidence needed when playing for the boot($$$). Has the one skip and stop technology too.I am now curious about the Fi5 irons.

I just baught these over the winter and have played about 6 games with them and i can tell you they are the best irons Ive ever played. Last year i switched from my tommy armours to a set of mizuno t-zoids and from them to a set of mizuno mp 30's and i am serious i went from breaking 90 and almost breaking 80's to shooting in the 100's. After I switched I just couldnt break 90 and i tryed going back to my old clubs but they just where to wippy for my swing speed so I baught these after trying them out during the summer. Best clubs ever

Bought these from GolfTown last Fall. Regular shaft. Love the shape of these irons. Like the Wilson logo at the end of the grip handle - nice touch. Definitely not for the high handicapper or casual golfer. This is not a game improvement club. But when hit on the sweet spot, it feels like butter.

I thought there must be a reason that Padraig Harrington was playing these on tour and now that I've picked up a set, I can tell you that these are some seriously great irons. I recently picked up a new set on Ebay from ProShopWarehouse for under $200. I believe these are every bit as good as any set of irons on the market. I was also able to get the Gap, Sand, and Lob wedges to match from Edwin Watts for $39 each so I now have a terrific set of clubs that have the same look and feel all the way from 3 iron to lob wedge.

I kid you not, this is undoubtedly the best set of irons I have ever owned. You could spend a lot more money, but why would you want to?
