Forgiving on mis-hits and still get some results. Great feeling when hit right on the sweetspot. Feels pretty close to forged clubs. High trajectory for great ball-stopping on the greens without any appreciable loss in distance except when it gets really windy, then you need to club up higher. Looks good too! Overall a very good set of clubs-helped cut my handicap by 5 strokes within 5 months without me doing anything else!! (I hardly spend a lot of the time at the range!!) These irons are great. First time I played with them I shot 3 better than my handicap (8) would have been better if I was putting well. The best way I can describe the irons is that they feel like an extension of my arms. Similar Products Used: Wilson Ultra |

I purchased these A1 irons last half way into last season. My first impressions were far from pleased. I gave them another week or so and I can honestly say there the most solid iron I have ever played. They do however take some time to get used too. I now find myself hitting 9 irons from 150 and 4 irons from 200. They are a blade and do require a high level of accuracy to hit the ball solid on contact. Cosmetics are great and half cord grip are a nice touch. All in all a very solid purchase and I highly recommend them. Great irons!!! I used to shoot in high 80's and now my last few rounds have been in the 70's!!! They go straight and long for me. You would think a player that shoots in the 70's would want a club with less offset but i will stick with these sticks till i wear em out or i break em!!! Well, I just got these irons today. Took them to the driving range and they simply felt good even before I hit them. They feel very balanced. I hit these clubs very well. They are solid and even my mishits went pretty far. Very forgiving. These clubs replaced my old Lynx Parallax irons, which I loved. Sadly, they were stolen out of my trunk. Anyways, my irons have a stiff shaft, which I noticed an immediate difference from my Lynx with regular shafts. I have a hard swing, and I had to play with my grip too much to stop from hooking and fading with my Parallax. These irons hit straight. I will write another review after several rounds. These irons are extremely accurate. They are simple to line up, and the ball flies straight toward the target, almost automatically. I do not find them longer than my Mizunos though, actually they are a little shorter. However, the accuracy and greater forgiveness make these clubs the better choice for me. They do not feel as sweet as a forged iron, but as close as I have ever experienced in a cast club. Similar Products Used: Mizuno T-Zoid Pro, Armour V-31, Callaway X-14 Pro Series |

Have been playing with the Oversize+ for about 3 years. Tendency to hit very high iron shots. Just switched to the 981's. What a difference! Very solid. Setup is perfect for me. I'm hitting the 3-5 with a lower penetrating shot. Accuracy is much improved over the Oversize+. Also I'm hitting one less iron starting from the 3 to 7. Otherwise, 8 iron is still 150 yards. I think the feel is closer to the 962 though much easier to hit. Similar Products Used: Titleist 962, Oversize + |

I am a shorter golfer who likes to hit "punch spin shots". Being 5'6", I naturally have a low ball flight, and when you start punching shots, it only gets lower. The offset gives me just enough height which allows my ball to spin/check when hitting those shots. non offset clubs I have hit had the spin , but the low ball flight counter-acted the spin. I recommend these clubs for any shorter players or players whom want or currently hit the punch spin shots, or if your a player whom clubs really inter-change with distance (example: I can juice the 7 about 185, hit it smooth at 160, or punch it @135) Also, with offset clubs you get the traditional "you won't be able to work these clubs" from a lot of golfers...I have no problem shaping my shots what-so-ever with these clubs....Overall a great set of clubs no matter what your level of play Similar Products Used: All Titleist, Ping I3 blades, Ram Tour Grind, Hogan Apex Plus, and a few more |
