I have always shied away from these irons because everyone said they are hard to hit. Well, I decided to give them a try anyway before they are forever discontinued. Just picked up my new set of 962s today. Went straight to the driving range and... WOW!!! What a great decision! What a great set of irons! Best feeling clubs I have ever hit! I was hitting a slight fade at first but was then able to straighten and draw at will. PRETTY COOL!!! Now I look forward to two pleasures when playing - striking the ball and the end result. I love the rising ball flight. What a great way to start the season! Similar Products Used: Taylor Made LCG Bubble, Tommy Armour 845, Hogan Edge, Ram FX |

Regular flex Dynamic Gold steel shaft. A very traditional looking set of irons with no gimmicks. The distance is average but deadly consistent. You can almost measure distance with these irons. Designed to be hit with Titleist Professional 90. The feel is just unbelievable. I don’t care where the ball lands; I’m busy relishing the vibration on my hands. Even slightly thin shots feel good in a different way. If you’re not capable of hitting beautiful high draws with these irons, don’t bother to discuss about the feel, or anything. |

I have had the same clubs for probably over 10 yrs....and hit them well. None the less, I was just looking for a pair so soft spike shoes, when I saw the sale for these clubs. What the heck, I am here and will give them a test drive to see how good they are. Not knowing what to expect, they felt GREAT! And after a couple of days of thought, I broke down and purchased them. I have been out to the range with them a few times and really like the flight the ball takes when hit solid. Nice high trajectory. The distance, not to bad, but will subsequently work on that. Overall feel I was impressed with. Although it takes a bit of practice to get use to the clubs, well worth the patience. I am a strong believer that one of the only ways a person will get better is to practice, practice and practice.....I was out on the course today (New Years Day), and the shots and although I considered it a good round considering the elements and being the first time out on a course in 4 months, felt fine, the clubs felt fine and can see 2001 being a good year for golf for myself. Try these clubs, probably not for everyone, but they are for me.....and should be considered at least........but before you buy......know what kind of game you have, where you want to be...these clubs will help some.....but i would make sure you are at a certain level of your game first before you think about it. Uhm... guys, I don't know where to post this, but let me clear something out. David Duval used to use the original DCI (which is very similar to 962)before the 962 series came out. I believe he had tried the 962 for a brief period of time, but he's been using 962"B" for quite a while. Compared to the difference between the legacy DCI and 962, the difference between 962 and 962B is rather significant in every way. Similar Products Used: None |

To begin with, if you are a higher handicap golfer, who wants to improve fast, read on. If you are a high handicap golfer not serious about improving, ignore this review. I am a 21 handicapper, and this was my first experience of irons for the 'better player'. Having read all the reviews, and realising the irons had very mixed reports, I was not sure what to expect. I'll be blunt: These irons are like butter when you find the sweet spot. In my case, surprisingly regularly. They do not feel 'harsh off the face' at all. In fact, they are like most irons: Make a bad swing, and you'll know about it. I found for the first time in my short golfing career (1 yr) that I could hit, with SOME degree of skill, the 3 and 4 irons. This shocked me. The irons are smaller headed, with less offset than I was used to, but enough for me. They have more offset than say, the Maxfli (normal) Revolution. I was able to pick these irons up very cheaply due to a golfer from USA Golf (a local shop) wanting to get rid of them. Incidentally, he's a 2 handicapper, a very fine golfer, who doesn't like offset, so go figure! They are fitted with Dynamic Gold S300 shafts (the *1 on the PGA tour, so i'll guess they should do for me ;-) ), and Titleist cord grips. Strangely enough, I hit the ball higher and further than before, which suprised me on two counts: The shaft is supposed to lead to a penetrating ball flight, and that I could hit these further... all the talk of harshness and lack of feel is phooey!!! these are clean looking hi-performance clubs every shot in the bag with so much feedback even after playing forged for 7 yrs finding a replacement set was a chore. shy away from this set after all the negative feedback. also being lefty limits my selection.but finally demo a 5-iron and saw the attributes you want to helped your game improve.they will be in my bag for years to come Similar Products Used: wilson RM signature series, ping eye-2, |

Traded the aforementioned Powerbilt TPS 6.0's, plus $125 cash, for these clubs(used). Reviews from other good golfers were V/good and I was sick of the inconsistency of the cavity backed TPS's. I freakin love these clubs. They're pretty hard to find nowadays because they don't make them anymore. I've tried the 981 and the 990s, but these are still better in my book. Similar Products Used: None |
