Break 100 the first time I used these clubs 6 month after I started playing the game and a year later break 90 twice. These are very forgiving clubs when missing shots for a beginner like me. An when hitting it in the sweet spot, it goes a long way. Another thing I like with these clubs, is that I've been using these for about 1 1/2 yrs now for maybe 3 - 4 times a month, the club heads still looks very good compare to others (like cleveland TA9 or the TM or the dunlop, where you can actually see a very used club). Also I bought it from golfsmith for only $550 brand new using thier 15% off. Customer Service n/a Similar Products Used: callaway x-14, TM RAC OS |

these are good clubs becasue i can hit them so far because there really forgiving but i think there is to much offset on these irons i can only hit a straight and draw good with these irons it's harder to hit a fade with these irons , i like the feel of these irons , i think in the future when i have enough money (i'm only 14 don't make much money) i think i'll buy some irons that are muscleback blades or something like taht Similar Products Used: macgregor dt irons (first irons great but bad shafts |

Excellent! These irons are awesome. I love my irons, unlike my Callaway woods. The irons are extremely forgiving and feel really good. Definitely a keeper. I highly recommend these irons because they are forgiving, accurate, and really help my golf game. They are just plain excellent golf clubs! A very good choice! I have been playing with these irons for over a year now and absolutely love them. They are very forgiving and playable. People I play with can sometimes not tell that I have missed a shot because the release is still straight and long. GO BUY SOME!!!! |

Well I am going on my third season playing these irons and I still have no desire for new ones. I saw a immediate improvement when I first started using them! I am a high 70's low 80's golfer so i do mis hit the ball often but these irons are very forgiving and seem to make my mis hits not so bad. i am regularly now more accurate, if im not on the green in reg. i am really close to it. i love the way they feel, very solid and smooth! i have never hit as long and straight as i am now! i actually just ordered the 822os gap wedge to to go along with my 3-pw. i would highly recommend and you know that your getting a quality product when you buy TITLEIST!!! Now i just have to find a driver that can keep me in play as well as these irons... Customer Service never used Similar Products Used: king cobra, ben hogan |

DCI 822OS, Steel, Stiff Flex
I have been playing for five months and in that time I have used a few different types of irons. I started with a Walmart set of graphite irons. I didn't know what was good, but when I played with a friend of mine's Titleist DCIs I realized I needed a bit more of a substantial club. That day I bought a set of used Tommy Armour 845s. I loved them (and still do) but when I was in San Diego I ended up playing a rental set of 822OS and shot my best golf ever. I happened upon a ridiculously low price one day at my pro shop a month later and had to snap them up. I love the oversized head and the weighting is excellent. When the club head flows through the shot, it feels swift and solid. When a great shot comes off the club, it feels like what golf should feel like. (If that makes sense!) These are great clubs for a beginner like me because the forgiveness is huge and the quality is unsurpassed and thus helps with a beginner's confidence. The negatives are few. I really don't like the stock grips. I changed them up right away with Winn Excels. The stiff flex does well for accuracy, but more than any other "stiff flexes" I've tried, it impacted distance a little more than I would like. But that is more than made up for in feel and straightness of shot. Similar Products Used: Tommy Armour 845s, Taylormade Woods, Nike CPR i-woods |

One thing that annoys me about this site (excellent though it is), is the lack of follow-on reviews. Hence, here is a follow on from a review I posted around mid-late 2003. I have noticed several things on this site: 1.Everyone writes glowing reviews about their new irons - they are fantastic, why else would they have bought them huh? 2.Very few negative reviews, or follow-on reviews of their irons - why? Is the honeymoon over? 3.The best reviews tend to be from the scratch golfers and people shooting in their 70's (I've been there twice so far this year!) 4.Why do people rate others reviews so poorly? Even if people are overenthusiastic, giving them 1 of of 5?!?!?! C'mon guys! Not surprisingly, since I got my 822OS, (initially shooting low 90's and high 80's on a fantastic day), with lessons my swing has changed dramatically. I am basically a different golfer to when I started (now average mid-low 80's, with foray into the 70's twice this year). My irons rapidly went through their honeymoon phase, and I began fading the ball. The shaft was changed to x-stiff, and the fade became straight, with more consistency. My irons have worn a little, with fine scratch-marks appearing on the face. However, they still remain easy to hit, particularly the long irons, and will do what I want them to when I am swinging well. You can certainly shape shots with these irons. Their quality is certainly up to scratch, no breakages/inserts falling off...nothing.The best thing is, my iron play continues to improve, I certainly don't think I'll be outgrowing these 'game improvement' irons for a while yet! I would recommend them to anyone who wants a reliable, easy to hit iron, with a quality name behind them. I haven't given them 5 stars this time, because a club that will get 5 stars in the future must look good, be long, and straight at the pin every hole...Unfortunately I don't know any clubs like that!!! (Except Annika's ERC fusion driver...) Ciao Customer Service Nil Similar Products Used: Lots of iron sets! (see previous review) |

I've had these clubs for 2 months now.I purchased them with the 950 nippon steel shaft. These irons are pretty accurate. I love the long irons. I have gained 5-10 yards with these clubs compared to my last set of x-12 callaway. It took me a couple of rounds getting used to these clubs. I think I was spoiled with the x-12 that I had. The x -12's were very forgiving clubs but lack the accuracy that I was looking for. The 822 are good out the rough. The only problem I'm having is with my pitching wedge. I can't fill the gap between 125 and 135 yards. Customer Service Never used them yet. Similar Products Used: x-12 callaway |

I just switched from graphite to steel shafts in my irons to improve accuracy and consistency. I've just had these 822s two weeks and they are great. Both times that I have played with them I've shot 79 and 78. I tried TM RAC and Cobra SSi. They don't feel as solid and the NS 950 is a superior standard steel shaft. Very streight and accurate even on off center hits. Customer Service I have not had to use them yet. Similar Products Used: Taylor Made RAC, Cobra SSI |

I hit both the 822's and the new Ping Irons. I loved both of them but in the end stuck with the 822's because of the way i hit the low irons. I now feel my three iron is the best club in my bag and I am hitting all my clubs 15-20 yards longer. I would recommend these to anyone |
