Most likely the best club I have ever played. The playability of a tour blade yet with a little umph behind them. They helped me to my first Hole-in-on in 27 years and also a Course Record.

Having been a Hogan forged blade player for years, I couldn't wait to take a look at the Titleist 690mb's. I took 3 months to decide which set of new forged blades to buy and I am completely satisfied with the Titleist 690mbs. I originally looked at Clevelands, Ping, Taylor Made, Kennith Smith, MacGregor VP (great looking club also, Nike and Mizuno. But the Titleist set up the best for me and forget all this nonsense about blades being hard to hit, the object of golf is to hit the ball as close as possible to the sweet spot. And sometimes, like a lob shot, you want to hit a little on the toe and work the ball, that is the beauty of a forged blade. What I like the best is the weighting of these clubs and how they setup. Just beautiful. And perfect match for my Hogan and Cleveland wedges. If you shoot in the 70's or low 80's, forged blades are the way to go.

Customer Service

Perfect, Titleist even sent me a gift of 4 dozen prototype Pro V1 balls, 3 visors and a towel.

When i first hit them, my friends who shot around the 70's told me they were not for me, but after a few rounds with them and a reshafting the clubs felt even better than before, my shots are straight and longer, they are very good clubs, very nice feel and look. I bought the 3-PW set and the 2 Iron is a 762

Best clubs i ever tried. Fell in love right after few demo shots. They are easy to control and shape your shots. Amazingly forgiving and hitting on sweet spot is truly satisfying. If you are serious about golf, this is the club, it gives the look, confidence and result. DCI 990 feels like hammer compared to this. Awesome

What can I say? These are the best irons I have hit all year, and I have hit them all. They feel great in your hands and even better when you strike the ball. Great forgiveness for a blade. And they dont make a better looking club. Awesome

I'm a 6 handicap who has used cavity back irons for the last 15 years. After reading the reviews here, and the comments from my club pros, I decided to give these great-looking muscle-back clubs a try. What a big and costly mistake! The clubs feel great when you hit them on the weet spot, but I only do that every other shot. Mis-hits lose 15-20 yards versus my Cleveland TA-5's. Needless to say, these clubs are gone and I am $180 poorer.

I have been playing the PING I3 blades since they came out about 3 years ago. Picked the 690MB's off the shelve just b/c they looked so great. I told the pro I would love to hit them except I need 1 degree upright, and he said great, thats how I ordered the ones you got in your hand. So I hit them, then bought them. I wouldn't say they are easier to hit than the PING I3s, but certainly not any harder, and they do have a much better feel. The misses seem about the same to me, except you know you missed it with the Titleist, and your still begging for a result (not gonna happen) with the PING. The set I bought came with a two iron (looks awfully hard to hit when plunked down next to that ball), but I am consistently hitting that one good too. Actually much better than the PING I3 3 iron. Just so you know, I am in my 30's and take a "healthy" swing at it. I never had any problem working the ball with the I3s, so didn't see any real benefit on that, prefer to hit it straight anyway, if possible. These new blades are alot better than the old ones, like those old McGRegor's we used to hack around, and I believe are easier to hit than most of those game improvement clubs that look like garden tools, so give them a try if you started out with blades and don't like the game improvement clunkers.

Wow! These are the best set of irons I have ever played. This form a guy who has played the following: X-12's,X-14 and X-14 proseries, 962's, Firesoles, TA-5's. A good round for me is 83-85 and I don't have the opportunity to play more than 2 times a month. I had hesitated in buying blades for all the usual reasons, but not only are these the best looking irons out there, they are also more forgiving than one would think. The feel is better than the MP-33's for me, and I think the neutralizer dowel in the hosel does a better job at eliminating unwanted vibrations than a Sensicore shaft. Don't pass on these beauties just because they are blades. I think with the feel and accuracy these irons give you, they would help just about anyones' ball striking, I know my game has improved with just one round with them.
