Burner 1.0 Irons
I bought the new Burner 1.0 irons with the steel uniflex shafts about six months ago. I'm now in my fifties and the days of playing stiff shafts are behind me I'm afraid. The uniflex shafts feel more like stiff than uniflex to me, and just the overall quality of these clubs is less than what I've seen from Taylormade in the past. It just doesn't feel like I'm swinging a quality club when I play these. Maybe it's just be but I think this is why you now see them for such low prices on Ebay. Not Taylormade's best effort in my humble opinion. |

Very good set of irons. Looks nice, not too heavy, fantastic distance. Lots of feel but not tcompare with forged. Good set for mid to high handicapper looking for forgiveness, distance and playability |

One of the most forgiving irons I have played. Nice feel, but a little forgiving to shape the ball. Couple with the tt lite shaft makes this iron set good set for golfers who wants to hit it straight and far. Gives me good trajectory on ball flight. Not able to difficult to shape the ball flights as expected.

This club has plenty of distance and it's easy to hit. Nice trajectory but doesn't feel all that great on flush shots like a blade. I wouldnt reccommend it to somebody that shoots under 80 on a regular basis. im going to get some new irons in January. For the mid handicapper they will get the ball up pretty easy and get you an extra 5 to 15 yards of distance. |

Not a big fan of these clubs. They are over standard length and the lies are all strong, which makes them seem longer, but they are too difficult to consistently hit the SAME distance.

I have had these tour burners for nilly two years and they have been a great starter set. i first brought these irons when i was a Hcap of about 20 and have since work my way to 3. they have great distance control great to look at and very forgiving. but the better i got the least i began to like them, i couldn't work them as much a i needed and the 5-4 irons just wouldn't land soft.. |

Great irons! I added 10 yards to each club. I played 6 rounds with them so far, went from averaging 104 to 98. I would recommend these clubs to anyone looking to lower there scores. |

Beware. Don't be fooled by the distance of these irons. The loft are 2 deg stronger and the shafts are longer. In fact, the 4 iron is almost the equivalent of a 2 iron from another brand. I compared the graphite version 4 iron to a ping 2 iron graphite also and they were exactly the same lenght. So the 4 iron is a 2 iron with a different loft. In a radar screen , I could hit the 5 iron the same distance as a 3 iron (180 yars in my case). Taylor made almost got me fooled. The feeling is quite good and I kind of like their low weight steel shaft. Wonderful. Customer Service Taylor made has a very good service. Similar Products Used: I use Top-Flit Tour TI. |

TaylorMade Tour Burner
I recently got these irons to replace my old Burner Oversize which I loved dearly. Having played those for so long, I wanted to maintain a similar sized shape & size head...not some of the clunky shovels out there in the GI Iron category. In comparing these to my old Burners, depsite being classified as a midsize iron by TM the heads are bigger than my old Burner OS while still maintaining an atractive & similar topline & sole width!!! I bought these on the TaylorMade PreOwned site in mint condition (all but 1 iron still in the plastic) for $100 less than the current retail sale price. Even with the additional cost to get them adjusted I still made out. So far I have play 2 full rounds and hit the range several times and I am hitting the ball better than ever before. Like the other reviews state, its taking a bit of adjustment to my new distances, I am now hitting a PW 150 at a full swing...thats a bit of a change. Mis hits and off center shots still go far and straight and stick on target. The ball trajectories are great (stock Burner 105g stiff shafts), no ballooning that I have experienced so far and they are comparable to my existing ball flights. I find every iron is pretty easy to hit and unless I throw a really bad swing at the ball, no slicing what so ever thanks to the med. offset. Workability is good with these irons as well, I am able to hit a draw with relative ease depsite my natural ball flight being either dead straight or a slight fade. Feedback is nice, you know when you hit off center but its not jarring. The factory tour velvet grips are very nice and feel great and the 105g shafts I find to be a great feel. Overall I would recommend these irons if you are looking for something in the GI cateogy which have a nice clean look and feel. At the new prices, its hard to beat.
