I've only been playing for 3 months, but I thought it was time to buy a better set. I was using a Knight starter set. I was in the 100's, but I am now in the 90's, and I've only had them for two weeks. These things are long and accurate. I'm hitting the 3 iron 225. I cannot say enough about these clubs, and the deal I got was great. I paid $500 with the bubble shaft. These clubs look and feel great. I love 'em. SuperSteel S90 Rifle Steel Irons
Purchased used set from Ebay after reading reviews from Ham & Egg. They are not as long as my X-12 irons, but gives me much better control. I'm not sure it it's the irons or the shafts, but I love these clubs. In 3 months I played these irons, my handicap has gone down from 18 to 14, and still falling. My only problem now is what to do with my X-12 irons... Similar Products Used: Callaway X-12 Firm Graphite |

I had my eye on these irons for a while, so I went along to a demo day and tried them out. No exaggeration: 8 iron 160yds, 6 iron 190yds !! The ball travelled high and with a really penetrating flight - not at all 'balloony'. When I bought them (£375 demo day price, £25 chepaer than I've seen them anywhere) I received >free< custom fitting from the taylor made pro who decided I needed the lies altering by 1 degree. One other thing that I was concerned about - the scoreline pattern. Although it will look ugly to some, the extended lines really do help. In conclusion, hit the ball high and far (1 club + on my old irons). If my handicap doesn't come down with these I'm going to give up and start bare back cow riding. Customer Service EXCELLENT service from the Taylor Made pro, custom fitting interesting and hopefully beneficial. Similar Products Used: X-14s, Sakurai, |

Great set of irons at a bargain price. I opt for the R-80 Rifle steel shaft. They are very forgiving irons & great feel for the ball. Weight distribution at the back bottom of the sole is good. Highly recommended for beginner-intermediate player. Customer Service NA Similar Products Used: Jack Nicklaus The Bear, Callaway, Spalding |

Taylor Made Supersteel Irons-S90
These clubs are great they get the ball in the air faster than other irons which is really good for a 13 year old like myself which can't swing as fast as other people. These clubs also give me plenty of raw distance. And fairly priced for the quality of the irons. The slight problem with these irons is that they don't have the greatest feel but the feels okay but not as good as some. I personally like the feel but alot of people don't think they have enough feel but hey it gets the job done right no complaints for me. And also try the supersteel fairway woods I don't know about the drivers, because I just use the 3 wood as a driver and hit it 250yds. So I can recomend the clubs to any one that wants to get better and improve their game. Customer Service none Similar Products Used: Callaway X-14, Ping i3 blades, Taylor Made Burner Irons |

Supersteel S-90 Graphite
Great club for fun enhancement. I recently realized I would never be a great golfer so now I'm going for enjoyment and beleive me, hitting my 7 iron 180 yards is enjoyable. The feed back on mis-hits leaves something to be desired but is detectable. These clubs have a fairly high trajectory so they are a little tough in the wind. There is a small variance in consistancy on line and distance but overall a very nice club. Much easier to hit than my DCI-981's. These clubs are great for a mid handicapper Similar Products Used: Titleist DCI-981; Nicklaus N-1'S |

I just switch from Supersteel to Firesole this year. I notice that my shot have been more consistent. And I am able to control my ball better. I used to think I was doing something wrong when I play the Supersteel. But it turns out that it was the club. I also notice that firesole gives me more distance than the supersteel. If you are looking to buy a set of Taylor Made. I would suggest that you spend your money on Firesole set. You can get a whole set of Firesole Graphite for $499 at egghead.com. When I first got these clubs I was very excited because I heard a lot of good things about them. After a couple of rounds I realized that the distance was inconsistant(and shorter than my old set) the feel on mis-hits just felt awful even on center hits they didn't feel to good and they were very hard to control. So a couple of weeks ago I went to Golfsmith and traded the super steels in for a set of Golfsmith XPC3 irons and playing some of the best golf of my life.
