Having recently purchased these irons reviewing golf clubs is not something i normally do but these irons are so good i felt compelled to do so.Lets start by putting things into perspective ,these irons are for good ball strikers ONLY .They are not the most forgiving but better than alot of bladed sets i have tried. They have a lovely soft feel off the face and the distance control is excellent.I have the prescision rifle shafts(6)fitted which give a resonably high penetrating flight which can be adjusted relatively easily in the correct hands.Awesome golf club highly recommended. Customer Service have not used as of yet. Similar Products Used: Ben Hogan apex blades. Callaway x20 Tour. Ping i3 blades. |

RAC MB Forged (Satin)
Just purchased these fitted with rifle 6.0 shafts. (They were brand new, but being cleared at half price). I am not going to lie like many reviewers of such clubs and tell you that they are easy to hit consistiently. They are NOT. The result they give you is directly proportional to the swing you put on it. A good smooth swing gives a very satisfying shot, a swipe at it will be punished accordingly. Feedback is very good, and around the greens and for knockdown shots they are excellent, with tremendous spin and control.
Customer Service None experienced Similar Products Used: RAC TP Forged (very good), RAC LT's (good), Mizuno MP30's (very good), X-18 Pro Series (awful chunky things), Titleist 690CB (excellent irons), Wilson Staff blades (my first set and what a baptism of fire!) |

I was very apprehensive attempting to play with blades because I have always heard they are for scratch players. I have an 8 handicap and occasionally shoot in the high 70s, never below a 77. I have played several brands, Titleist, Nike, Callaway, etc. but settled on TaylorMade a few years ago. I got these new irons 2 weeks ago and practiced at my range for several days before I went on the course today. Without too much grinding, I had 12 pars, 5 bogeys and 1 birdie. These irons are tremendous. They will give you immediate and correct feedback. I was tired of the game improvement look, feel and performance. I don't work the ball a whole lot. I just want it to have very little dispersion, which these do. If you are looking for a traditional looking iron that delivers superb feel and performance, you must try these. Customer Service Excellent as usual Similar Products Used: Mizuno muscle cut blades

These irons are great! A buddy of mine gave them to me yesterday and after going to the range once then playing on the course, I hit them great. I love the feel of the irons, especially when you hit them perfect! Very easily workable, we'll see how they work out for me! |

Careful ! I purchased these irons over 2 weeks ago, and they take quite a while to get used to. The 8 iron down are easy and have a great blade feel, but getting used to the 5-7 is really tough. I must have hit over 300 balls at the range and still cant get the feel. I am a consistent mid 80's golfer and already play with progressive blades, so I assumed that the transition would be easy - but it isnt so far. Also, as has been mentioned by other reviewers, expect some loss of distance - my current 5 irons gets me 185 yds easily, but I think I will struggle to get 180 with these.

After playing with Taylor Made 300 forged irons for 7 years i thought it was time to treat myself to a new set of irons. Wow what a great feel! Although i would have like to get the 6.0 rifle shafts( I have the S300 shafts) they did not have them in stock, i am very happy with them. I battled a little at first but they have improved my game to the point where i now attack the pin much more and can feel my shots better. All in all a great set of irons! Taylormade RAC MB coin forged
Bought these clubs off Ebay for a solid price, in like new condition. I'm not sure why Taylormade stopped producing these clubs, or if they are, why they stopped promoting them. I play off a 10.8 handicap and these blades are by far, the best feeling irons I have ever hit. My game resides in that gray area of "should I go for a game improvement iron?" or "should I be using a players iron?" Well the answer came clear about a mounth ago after I purchased these. I've owned Ping I5's (also a good club.) Callaway X20's, X18's and Tour forged. I've also owned Mizuno MP32's, Mp30's, and MX-25's. I've tried Adams Idea pro's and just about everything from Cleveland. After I purchased my R7 425, I wanted my clubs to kind of match, (yeah I know its a sickness.) I currently still own my RAC LT's which are also a great club not for sale anymore. I think Taylormade has left behind about as many great ideas as they have come up with, and these clubs are a sure, true testiment of that. Light weight heads work really well with the Rifle shafts, of course, know your swing speed to get fitted with the proper flex, Mine's a 6.0. If you've never experienced the true difference between forged and cast, these clubs will open your eyes. Length of the clus is really not that important, lets just say that whatever distance your hitting your 7 iron, you won't be afraid to go after an extra distance of 10 yards or so. Very easy to minipulate. You will get extra club head speed from this club and the spin is outstanding! If your in that gray are, but you know good and well you like the look of a players club, you owe it to yourself to try these. I did, and after 3 years of searching, i'm finally done! Customer Service Taylormade is ace, just look at all the players who play them. Similar Products Used: If it was created to play golf, I've either tried it or owned it. |

I have recently purchased a set of Taylor made RAC MB irons and I am delighted with the clubs. I managed to pick up a set of ex-demo ones from a golf shop in the UK and they are near perfect condition plus, they only cost me £180!! absolute bargain considering they cost £500+ only 18-24 months ago! I have changed the grips as I am used to Crosslines. On the whole, the clubs are effortless and so consistent that i can hit greens from any position plus you get feedback on your shot to help you work at your game. Would highly recommend 10/10. |
