My game had slipped from the low 80's to the low 90's and I did not have time to practice. I loved my Titleist DCI 962 irons. The first time I hit the TM LT2 irons I ran from them. But later returned and purchased them. My score has dropped back down due to hitting more greens and staying on the green due to the higher angle coming in. The best thing about these irons so that I do not build my game to high is that I can play a great round from my MISS HITS!

I was looking for a good looking and forgiving player's club" to move to after losing the time necessary to keep my game in shape for the last couple of years. These irons delivered. I played to a plus 2 at one point, and even though I can only play once or twice a week now, these irons have restored alot of the confidence I used to have in my iron play. Their blade length is a little longer than a standard blade, but they are a very traditional looking club (I've played Titleist and Founders Club blades and these compare favorably, but the top line is not as thin).

The best thing about these irons, however, is that if you are a relatively solid ball striker, you'll have a very hard time missing them. They go straight when you want, and with a wider sole they handle a broader variety of lies than a traditional bladed iron. You can work them and knock them down well too. The trajectory is about 10 ft. higher than a true blade, making the LT designation a little misleading, but I'd rather be able to knock down a club that can be hit high in the air than not be able to hit it high in the first place.

These are fine clubs, and I'd recommend them to any good player looking for a more friendly set of irons. You'll enjoy scoring again.

First of all the name LT, low trajectory, is definately misleading. I hit them really high and I think that they are one club shorter than my previous irons. The feel is nice however but it is quite annoying that I hit them so short. They are quite light so that might be the reason behind that. I've read some other reviews and it seems as if players with a fast swing tend to have the same problem as I do (My average driving distance is well over 300 yards). They look really good though. :)

I have been playing Mizuno blades for the past 15 years, and since 2005 haven't had much time to play or practice & my game was slipping to the high 70's. Was looking for a forgiving club with a traditional look. I tried the LT2 demo 6 iron at the golf course and compared it to my MP-33 6 iron demo only noticed a slight difference in feel & considerable difference in forgiveness on off-center hits, also center hits went about 4-5 yards futher with the LT2's. The LT2's have a great traditional look at address. The major difference it has a higher launch angle than blades that leads to longer carry & stops on a dime compared to my blades even on knockdown shots. The shaft is lighter and has a stiffer tip than DG300, took a while to get adjusted to, however I found that it forced me to have a slower smoother controlled swing that still produced great distance with straighter ball flight even on misses. They are easy to control & work when you don't overswing! They have a higher trajectory than one might think, however you can fire at the pin regardless where it is because of the great action, spin & trajectory it puts on the ball, I hit all the irons (3-pw)very consistant which leads to more greens hit in regulation, more birdie putts & lower scores.
I don't miss my blades anymore & challenge everyone that still plays the blade iron to give this club a serious try, you will be amazed!

Truely the best club i have ever hit. i spent about two years hitting the os2 irons, also by taylormade. then changed to the LT's and what a signifigant difference it made. They look and feel wonderful, and they help your confidence level at address. although the name LT meaning (low tragectory) maybe a little deceving. I hit the same height as i do most other clubs. Great Club!

Model Reviewed: RAC LT2

I am convinced that Taylor Made committed a serious mistake calling this model of irons “Low Trajectory”. RAC LT2 are excellent clubs, probably among the best irons made in last 10 years, but I think they have not achieved as much glory as they could only because of this name “LT” causing a misconception.
RAC LT2 are today irons one of very few models of game improvement irons combining “high tech” and a simple, pleasing look. I play golf for over 25 years and I am more and more convinced that nobody can play well with ugly clubs. Unfortunately absolute majority of “high tech” clubs look very complicated, with too many “warts”. RAC LT2 might be one of the last of its kind with such a nice, assuring but not overdone look.
During the last 10 years I played forged irons (mostly made by KZ Golf). RAC LT2 are equally good in working the ball and better in saving bad shots. And remember – they definitely do not shoot the ball low. They play just right where it should be.

Wow!!!! I bought these beauties about a month ago with Rifle 5.5 Stiff shafts and I can honestly say these are the sweetest clubs I have ever hit. These irons are known as players clubs but they are just as much game improvement clubs because it is impossible to mis-hit these if you are a good player. The LT, which stands for low trajectory, is a bit of a misnomer because I hit these just about as high as my old irons (ping eye2 copper) but almost a full club longer. Also, these clubs are very easy to work in both directions (even slices and hooks for when you're behind a tree), and in my opinion are just as easy to work as forged irons. Also, they go straight as an arrow when you want. I bought some used Mizuno blades about a year ago thinking it was time to get some "real" clubs but what i quickly realized after 2 or 3 rounds with those clubs was that unless you are Tiger Woods or Sergio Garcia or one of the TOP PLAYERS IN THE WORLD, get over yourself and hit some more forgiving clubs, and wow, what can I say, the LT2's might just be the greatest fusion of playability and forgiveness EVER! BUTTERY!!!

Model Reviewed: Taylor made LT2 Dynamic gold shaft

I am playing these irons for over a month now and I must say I like them a lot. From 28 handicap until 3 handicap I always played the big bertha 96 irons, the ones with the huge head and graphite shaft. I needed more of a players iron in order to control distance especially (very hard with the callaways) and LT2 has been a great choice. I should though say that I have the true temper dynamic gold s300 shaft, which in my opinion is a lot better than the taylor made t-step shaft.

Simply the most awesome irons I tried when searching for a new set. Switched from the Cobra SSI (too much offset) and spent nearly six months trying different irons. Narrowed down my choices to Callaway X18 Pro Series, Ping I5's and the LT's. No contest! The LT's were forgiving, allowed for working the ball left/right, and they didn't look like you were swinging a barn door from above. Very thin top line, blade-like in effect, and quite honestly a very forgiving, workable club. The finish has held up nicely for almost a year, and I often get comments on how nice they look.

No need thus far. Came from the factory as ordered, and haven't blemished.
