This babies are the best so far. Since I get them I lower my average stroke about 3 to 4 in a complete round. I use to play with Ben Hogans CFT, but due to their offset I couldn`t control very well because of my regular draw ball trajectory, and isnted they were flying more left than the regular, sometimes hooks. This clubs correct this problem because they are no offset and more like balde style Irons with the designe of a cavity back and great forgivenest on mis hits..I have been with them for about a month and really like them very much. They will be on my bag for the next couple of years..Control is the greates...And the shaft is the best of both worlds.. Customer Service Got them from Waveland golf store...Great service. Trade in my Mizuno MP-33 for this babies, great transaction Similar Products Used: BEN HOGAN APEX, BEN HOGAN CFT, MIZUNO MP-33 |

Bought these on ebay after reading some of the previous reviews. Great deal for $167 with shipping. Had been using wilson fat shaft III irons, but i guess I wasn't ready for these. I lost 10 yards a club from my old set, which is a lot because I am not a big hitter. The feel was better than with the fat shafts, but only when you hit the small sweet spot. I also lost accuracy. The pitching wedge did give me more feel than my fat shaft model. Unless you can hit the sweet spot 99% of the time, I would not reccommend these irons to a player seeking forgiving irons. I am glad I didn't get rid of my fat shafts. The precepts are going back on ebay! Customer Service Did not use any Similar Products Used: Wilson Fat Shaft III, Ping I3 Oversized, Callaway x-12. |

This is the first set of precept irons i have ever purchased and I must say that i am very impressed with the looks, feel, and price of these clubs. I am a low handicapper that has been looking for a set of irons that has the forgiveness of a cb and the workability of a blade and i think i have found that in this set of irons. I have tried blades even forged ones and i am just not that pure i cant hit the dime every time. These clubs are so pure and so easy to hit witout sacrificing the workability, its purely amazing and for the price 240 shipped to my house how can you go wrong!!! Customer Service Waveland golf is great i purchased my irons on sunday off ebay and they were on my doorstep mid afternoon thursday! Speedy got exacly what i ordered clubs were brand new. Similar Products Used: Quality and looks unmatched the only clubs that compare in pureness and workability is probably the other set of irons i have and that is the callaway X-tours that Phil plays they surpass these irons but you pay hefty for that too. By far best value out there on market!!!!!!! |

Solid clubs which are made even better based on price. Bought new on Ebay for less than $200. Set up and look at address is just like forged blades (which I ordinarily play) but are way more forgiving since they are cavity backed. Stock NS Pro 95 gram steel shaft was perfect compliment to club heads. It plays to a firm but can pass for stiff. I ordinarily play TTDG S-300 with sensicore which are 127 grams but these lightweight shafts hold up for powerful but smooth swings. What makes clubs play well is combo of shaft and insert in the head which dampens vibrations and the fact that the heads are soft metal which can be fitted for lie angle. Precept says you can bend +-2 degrees but I had my set bent more than that. You need to have clubs fitted as they have a very upright lie. These clubs are perfect set for someone who wants the look and playability of a forged blade with foregiveness. On good hits, it was hard to tell the difference between these and my Mizuno irons. Except for the pitching wedge which is 46*, there is not a lot of difference in distance from the irons I play. Well built, traditional looks, nice chrome finish, soft yet solid on contact, great deals available online. I was pleasantly surprised with these irons, they hit the ball high and at least 1/2 club longer than my forged cavity backs. The Nippon shafts are about 95g so they're lighter than other steel shafts, but they deliver. To me, the S/R shafts played just like that - more like a firm flex. If you are looking for a very good set of irons without spending over $500 - this is a must try. Got mine on Ebay brand new for under $300. After several reviews on here and seeing them at Edwin Watts for $469, decided to go and hit them, they felt as good as anything off the mat. I bought them new on ebay for $200. Finally have a set that looks, plays and feels like a fantastic set. Played my first round as I was taking the plastic off the heads and grips. Do not miss out, buy these clubs, the feel is like butter, the distance is great and the tregectory is perfect. I am not kidding these clubs hit extremely well. If I had not putted like crap could have easily been in the mid 80's. I will be back on the course tomarrow and expect to hit my lowest score. It's amazing that these sticks haven't caught on yet. You can get these on E bay for under 300.00 Unbelievable forgiveness and long...long..long..tried with the new Nippon 950 shaft which is listed as S/R but it plays stiff. Balls come off of these irons so soft you wont believe it. This was Precepts new model with the soft elaster compound in each iron. These is one of those unnoticed irons that doesn't get much pr but when you hit them you will wonder why. Nice small face at address and they set up like blades. Precept Tour Premium EC603: Nippon S/R Steel
I had been searching for an affordable set of irons that could provide me with the combination of playability and forgiveness to fit my swing and improve my game, when I first read about the Precept EC603's. Because I hit a natural draw, I was constantly fighting a hook with my old set of Cleveland TA 4's because of their generous progressive offset. I also wasn't happy with the flat ball flight and thick top line of the Clevelands. So after thoroughly researching the Precepts and other brands that I thought would help me hit the ball straighter and higher, I bought a set of EC603's on Ebay. Although the ad on Ebay claimed that the shaft flex on the EC603's Nippon NS Pro 950 steel shafts was "stiff," they arrived with the S/R flex (between stiff and regular). This was a major concern since I hit stiff shafts in all my clubs and these appeared to be way too whippy for the way I load the club. I didn't need more distance, just more consistent accuracy. Well, after contacting the seller who agreed to reshaft the clubs with a stiffer shaft of my choice, I decided to give the S/R shafts a try before sending them back. Wow! I was amazed at how accurate these shafts (and heads) are and how good every shot felt. The light Nippon S/R shafts were not too whippy at all. Instead, I'm able to hit the ball with a higher, more arcing trajectory than my old set and the reduced offset and muscleback-like center of the clubhead not only corrects my hook but allows me to work the ball from left to right. Although not as forgiving as my old set of cavity backs, the EC603's have the best feel of any cast club I have ever hit. Apparently, the elastomer insert in the back of the cavity is not just a gimmick. Shots hit on the sweet spot feel very soft and crushed and are extremely quiet (barely discernable to the ear)! Miss hits offer decent distance but will let you know with plenty of feedback. Try a set of these clubs with the Nippon shafts, if you can find them. They are much lower priced (I paid $219.99 brand new and still in the wrappers on Ebay) and just as good if not better than other major manufacturers. Customer Service I contacted Nippon Shaft Co. of North America (www.shaftology.com) and found out (after purchase) that these Precept models are only currently available in S/R flex. They also encouraged that I try putting the clubs to the test with the factory shafts before considering reshafting. Very helpful!
