Purchased these Irons in August 2000 as my Mizuno blades had worn grooves and it was time for a new set. Recommended by dealer and custom fitted. Also swayed by Reviews on this web-site. I've persevered for 5 months now. Handicap has gone from 3 to 6. I practise three days a week - minimum -and am hitting all my other clubs (including Driver) fine.
I think the Ball flight is too high, offset is offputting for someone who was weaned on blades. Distance is inconsistent, with same swing producing vastly different results. Difficult to work the ball. Not a good club for a low marker, particularly someone who likes the look and feel of a blade.
I think these would be good value for a beginner or mid-handicapper.
Traded these clubs this week for second hand set of Titleist 962's. Best move I've made this year. I'm not the only one I have spoken to with this opinion of these clubs.

Very honest set of clubs. Tried them all, and kept coming back to Powerbilt. These are similar to the Mizuno Comp EZ's, Nicklaus, and the discontinued Mizuno Sure. Very forgiving, easy to hit, gets the ball up without any effort due to a higher flex point in the shaft (metal). The only problem is your buddies will ride you for not buying Callaway, Taylormade, etc. Bit always remember no hype does not mean they are a poor club to the contrary they are great!

Customer Service

Very good - had to order a 2 iron

Excellent set of irons. Great feel and ball flight off the club. I would find it hard to believe there is a better set of irons on the market in this price range.

Customer Service

I was able to get the gap and sand wedge through the local dealer in one week.

I got these clubs after doing a lot of research into the best set of irons for the lowest price. Haven't found any other clubs with such good reviews for so little - especially on the net. Got my steel set for $300. Since I've had them, I've had no complaints. Much better than my old department store clubs - much crisper with good feedback. Still a beginner, so don't have as much experience as most of you out there, but after trying my Powerbilts and comparing them to my friend's more expensive clubs, I really can't tell of any difference.I think they really are a great deal.

I learned the game on a set of Powerbilt blades; they were good clubs, but I'm really happy with my TPS 6's. I like the feedback I get - it helps me correct when I blow it, and reinforce good shots on those all too rare occasions. :-) I used to carry the long irons just because they were part of the set, but with the TPS 6's, I actually hit them, and well! It surprised the hell out of me when I went for a long, low "Tiger" shot with a 3-iron, and it worked! These are a great club for the beginner; I tried hitting a bunch of other clubs on the practice range, and none of the more expensive clubs seemed worth the additional money for a golfer of my skill.

A sweet set of clubs. Took a few rounds to get used to the different feel. By month's end I was putting a beating on my boss at our regular muni. Not great for the career but great feeling all the same. Launches the ball high and straight from all types of lies. Great clubs for the price. Feel is very soft off the face and the shock reduce insert works wonders in the spring and late fall cold.

Customer Service

Takes a little while to order the extra clubs you want - I got the gap wedge to complete my set

Very impressed...demoed a few..Air-Bear, Callaway, Cleveland, Top Flite, Wilson Fat Shafts, they all lacked one thing or another...The Powerbilts were solid all-performers...forgiving, good distance, playability, feel, all in all very good. And at a good price compared to others on the market.

Couldnt do enough for me...Powerbilt Rep in the state of Victoria,Australia second to none.....

Simply a fantastic all around club and about the best value to be found. I have tried much of the available equipment but don't be fooled by the large advertising budgets of Callaway & Taylor Made. Give these clubs a shot. They produce long/straight/soft shots repeatedly. Off-center shots are muted by the Sims Shock Relief. These clubs are not the best for a true ""worker"" of the ball. However, they are great at flying the ball straight even for off-center and thin hits. Highly recommended set definitely worth trying.

This is the third set of Powerbilts I have owned. I have tried them all (Ping, Armour, Callaway, Titleist) but keep coming back to Powerbilts. The reason is simple: they let the product do the talking, not some high-priced Geek. The true is in the materials, and quality of construction. Easy to hit. Feel great when you hit them. More forgiving than anything I have ever hit and they do not hit you in the wallet as hard. They have been around for a long time...there is a reason for that.

I love them, my first set of Powerbilt's were GrandSlams which helped me learn the game, when I replaced them I tried some of the Callaway irons X12 and Trimetal irons, but I bought these and I love the shots that I have been able to make with them.
