Had these clubs for 3 months. Handicap has dropped from 11 to 8. Despite their game improvement look these are players clubs with reasonably small heads. Can work the ball both ways, as well as high and low. Thicker tip section of the shaft gives these clubs a very solid feel through impact. Does incorporate some game improvement features. Shots off the toe or heel still go 90% distance and straight. Good ball flight (not quite as impressive as my old tour premiums but more consistent). Take some getting used to but when you figure out where the sweet spot is these are very consistent clubs. My greens in regulation is up by about 3 extra greens a round. Also very tough, still look new after several rounds on rough courses. Only down side is these clubs have strong lofts so a gap wedge would be recommended. Also not as good as forged blades for chipping around the green. I would reccomend these to any player (particularly lower end handicaps) who wants a premium players club without the $2,000 (AUD) price tag.

Customer Service

Powerbilt has a good fitting service. Had these custom fit at no extra cost.

These are very clean professional looking clubs. Easy to hit compared to the cleveland ta3's I was using. Great forgiveness on off centre hits. I would recommend these clubs to a beginner/weekend golfer to develop their game rather than spending the money on a brand name set. Excellent value.

Went in to get my old clubs fixed and ended up with a new set of irons. I don't know that much about clubs and i always thought that I wasn't good enough to tell the difference but I thought I would poke around and swing a few clubs. I ended up trying every Left handed model in the store and I couldn't find anything that was even close to these clubs. When I found out that they were the last ones left and they were only $200 for the graphite shafts I just couldn't say no. The only problem I had the first time out was getting use to the added distance and not having to correct for my horrible slice.

Ball flight is high and straight from all sorts of different lies. Tried the powerbilt grandslams but kept coming back to the tps eventhough they were more expensive. The best clubs I've ever owned. After two terrific years I can't see myself ever playing with any other club. Now shoot in the 80s (best 84) after 10 years previously of being unable to break 90. My father in law loves them so much he leaves his clubs at home and constantly borrows mine! I'd be prepared to buy another 'spare' set if I can find them.

I am age 46 and shoot mid- 80's. I changed to TPS 6 graphite irons from a heavier set of XPC's. The clubs look great and are quality built. The new powerbilts are easy to control. No problem going left or right to a target. The ball flight characteristic is "hang time" followed by a fairly steep drop. The 8 iron is a great chipper near the green. It needs only a putter stroke to fly 5 or 6 feet and roll-out another 12 or so. Very happy overall with these clubs.

After 5 years with a used set of Wilson Midsize, I got fitted... after a "blind" test of Callaway, TaylorMade, et als, I kept coming back to PowerBilt. With the $200 plus price difference, it was an easy decision. I have been very happy with them.

These clubs have the best feel that I have felt since starting to golf three years ago. The extra weight behind the head gives me great club head speed and control. Everything about the clubs are great. Nothing to complain about. The distance is incredible. I am now hitting my 3 iron about 200+ yards. And the short irons have pinpoint control.

Ok these arn''t the clubs for handicapper 10 down. But If your in need of some clubs these are it. Gets in the air easy. Being able to work the ball is even better. Wouldn''t say hit better than the pings I''ve used. Distance wise was thay actually hit about 4 meters further than the pings. The short irons excellent!!! Long irons bloody good. I recomend these big time. For the price you would think thay were made of plastic. But as there slogan says. Play expensive don''t cost expensive.

I had started playing golf last summer, and had gone through some cheap department store clubs. Was looking for a good deal on irons, and after looking through a bunch of reviews on the Web, settled on the Powerbilt TPS as a quality club that wasn''t too expensive. Was able to get a great price on a set on the internet. Have loved playing with them - very easy to get the ball airborne, nice feel when hitting the sweetspot. Have also demo''ed many topline clubs at different demo days and stores - there are nicer clubs (Ping i3, Ben Hogan Apex Edge) for my game but they are much more expensive. Have been very satisfied with the quality and construction of these clubs.
