Wow! can't believe I'm the first to review Porsche irons on this site. Apart from the rarity, I guess that the first impression when considering these clubs are their look. Beautifully simple, unfussy and purposeful with a stunning smoky chrome finish. These blades have a very compact shape with fine top lines that initialy scared me. I had played with Wilson FG55 blades before and remember the juddering feeling in the hands on off-cenre hits. The plan was initialy to use these clubs in the higher lofts (7-9) only for control onto greens while keeping to the game improvement clubs (Macgregor M455s - which by the way are realy good) in the lower lofts (3-6) for safety margin on longer fairway + approach shots. Well, best laid plans and all that...on the spur of the moment decided to take out the full set and was very happy that I did. At this moment my driving is not so hot, meaning most of my game involved using the 3 iron off the tee and fairways. I was very impressed. You almost don't feel the ball has been hit on sweet spot strikes and on off centres you get good feedback without the dreadful judder but they still made over 200 yds. On approach shots, I managed for the first time to stop a ball dead on the green with a 7 iron. As said I have played with blades before - Wilson fg55s and Taylor made Tour Burners which would be the nearest comparisons from other clubs I've played - and have to say they feel as good as the Wilsons and Tour Burners on sweet spot hits, but surprisingly forgiving on off-cenre hits considering they are traditional sized blades. From my experience I can recommend that if you're an average golfer and are scared of blades then give these a try if you can find a set.These are staying in my bag for some time now and am selling my Macgregors in order that I apply my game that much more to get the most from these clubs. Why leave your Porsche in the golf club car park when you can drive it onto the green stuff. Definitely not gimmick branding. Will update at some time again on how they're getting on, hopefully as my game improves.... Customer Service Not required so far. Similar Products Used: Maxfli Integra
