I had played this set a few years ago when a friend lent me his set for a weekend golf trip and I liked them then. He had to quit because of health problems and sold them to me. I have to say they are the sweetest clubs I have evefr hit. They are very forgiving and seem to do everything I try to do with them. they have knocked 6 strokes off my game and I'm hoping they will drop it even farther. These are my last set of clubs.

Okay... earlier I claimed that the Eye 2+ were the best iron I had hit. Not anymore. I got a set of Zings recently, and they are even better. Ugly, yes, but better. I hit most irons well, but the Zing is so stable that hitting a fade or draw is dead simple. Set it up and swing. The Zing gets out of the way and lets you hit the shot. This was particularly surprising because they seem so massive at address (that ugly duckling thing goes away after a couple of trips to the range). The SW is sublime. They are so cheap now, if you are reading this you need to get a set... Bravo, Karsten RIP

I recently discovered my (black dot) Ping s59’s were not setup for me. Or they were not correctly setup for me. I love these irons and I have been playing them for a few years, but I had altered my swing to get the performance out of them.
I checked out the ping online fitting app and it suggested a yellow dot (1.5*)up and a change into some over sized grips, This had me all messed up wondering if it was the clubs adjustments causing my constant slight draw in my low-mid irons.

I do not have the access to a ping shop or retailer in my area to take this problem to them. So I bumped into this very nice man at our club that had just cleaned up a full set of ping zing blue dot irons. They looked brand new and little wear in the grooves. Blue dot are 1* upright just .5* away from the yellow dot irons. He offered them to me for $150 and a bought them. It took several holes to get used to difference in swing weight and launch angle but I automatically liked playing these clubs.
Although I was very comfortable while I was playing these zings I brought my eye2 + lob wedge and my tour 54 wedge. With me.
My first nine was a 43 on a par 35 the second nine was a 33 on a par 35. I’m now planning to continue using the 3,4,5,6, in the zings and the 7,8,9,w. in my s59’s after I have them adjusted,

I don’t think you could go wrong if trying to purchase some of these clubs they are forgiving but smooth enough to save your shot from the rough. They once had a premium price tag but with all the different items being sold on ebay im sure you can get a deal and purchase one of the most forgiving golf clubs, the
Ping zing.

I recently moved to Dallas and visited the driving range in Arlington. Although I has forgotten my clubs in Mississippi, I borrowed a 5 iron - Ping Zing and hit a large bucket of balls. I consistently hit shots straight at the target at and mostly beyond 200yds. Off center hits were straight although shorter. Ball trajectory too was medium to medium high. I liked the feel and have since ordered a complete iron set off of Ebay!

I bought these clubs at a garage sale to try them out. Took them to the range the next day and was spinning these clubs like crazy! Asked the pro shop about them and they said that the Ping Zing 2 are ILLEGAL b/c of the waffle cut on them causes so much spin. Turns our I couldn't use them for my highschool team. They are not worth buying. I now have Nike Victory Irons and I love them like heck!

I bought the clubs on ebay, they were cheap so i thought i'd give them a try.I had been useing Mizuno TP9(blades) for about 4years or so. First thing i noticed i was a bit short on distance,BUT wee i hit them so straight!!! Yes it's true even a miss hit gets it close. This is the Mk 1 zings black dot ktm steel shaft.Sooo here's where greed enters i bought a set of zing 2 graff regular shaft.Do you think i can hit these NO i can't,i have tried n tried. So i will stay with my mk 1 zings with stiff shafts. It seems to be agreed by all that an old fool my age 65 should hit graphite. Well they sure don't float my boat.I find distances very consistant with a nice high ball flight, and as i said straight!!! what more can you ask??

Customer Service

Never used it...but every one say's it's good.

Model Reviewed: Ping Zing 2 Irons

I recently bought a set of The Ping Zing 2 irons after spending 15 years quietly obsessing over them, (you try talking your parents into buying a new set of clubs when your ten) and I can honestly say they are probably one of the best series of Irons that I can recall playing, better than Mizuno (while mizuno makes great clubs, based on mis hits the Ping Zing 2 plays better)better than Titleist dci series, the 704 cb, the Power circle square two's,(obscure clubs but they're great) or Big Bertha Irons. They're awesome. The first thing I noticed, along with everyone else, is that the ball flight was a lot higher than my previous set, making for softer landings and less shots on the back side of the green. Another aspect I like is the forgivness, The club faces are a lot thicker, almost like the original Big Bertha Irons, with even the worst feeling shot still reaching the target. Another attribute I like is the ability of the Zing 2's to cut through the rough. They don't feel like they get bogged down nearly as much. One of the biggest jokes on the golf world is the concept that technology changes quickly, and that driver/iron set you had is outdated. Truth be told while there are some advancements that improve the game, the technology really peaked about ten years ago. So don't feel like you need to go out and get the latest and greatest every year. Thats what held me up so long, I was trying to sift through the latest technology and advancement when all I needed to do was look on ebay and go back about 15 years. Not only where they cheaper, but they look mean, which totally adds to the confidence factor. Also, on a side note, they are one of the nicest/coolest looking sets of clubs I've ever had, you can't miss them on the range. If they still choose to make an issue of the way they look, just show them your score card.
