I recently purchased the Ping i10 irons. These irons have sent my iron game to a new level. I have so much confidence with these in my hands. The workablility is unlike anyother iron i have used. I have used blades in the past, Titleist mb 690, which i hit a bit farther than the i10's but the consistacy of the i10's make them a better iron to play.

Just bought a set of PING i10's and played today with them. Gained distance and forgiveness over my previous set of irons which were pure blades. Mainly due to the stronger lofts I'm sure. They don't feel as good as a pure blade but the forgiveness factor makes up for it. The AWT stiff shaft works for me which is strange coming from someone who has played Dynamic Gold X-100 and S-300 for years. Shot a 75 today with the PING's and enjoyed the control and ball flight. PING makes a great product and these irons look great in the bag. One of PING's best irons to date in my opinion.

Customer Service

PING customer service is excellent. Callaway is right there too.

My excellent local golf shop allowed me to try several different Ping models: G5, G10, G15, i10 & i15, with different shaft offerings. The i10, fitted with a Dynamic Gold shaft rather than the AWT standard offering, came out the clear winner. The compact head of the i10 is wonderful - you don't notice the cavity even though there is one to help you. The dynamic gold shaft will launch the ball at a more appropriate lower flight than the high launch AWTs.

My primary problem during the first couple range sessions with the i10 was that I was hitting them too far, or more precisely with too large a gap in between clubs (about 5 more yards gap as compared to my Fusions). After a couple more range sessions, and a couple rounds I was able to correct the my gaps down to 10 yards again.

The only other concerns I had were the grips (easily fixed this by changing to my standard grips) and that the faces get marked up fairly easily (not a problem as it doesn't affect the grooves or play and I plan on playing them a lot, so it would have happened eventually anyway).

I highly recommend this club to anyone looking for a game improvement club with the hopes of improving up to a player's club. I was very close to biting on a set of Mizuno MP-52s, but I simply hit the i10s better, and they are both great looking clubs.

It is well worth the premium to upgrade shafts, and Ping's fitting system and customer service are second to none. Like anyone who has owned and worn a custom-tailored suit, it is worth the extra cash to own a premium set of clubs.

Customer Service

The industry gold stanard.

LOL, holehigh1! I too hope Jimmy is ok. I never liked Ping growing up, but all Ping iron designs are awesome since the G2. It's a matter of pref if you like Ping now and I love the i10 heads. Small w/ extra weight in the toe w/ great perimeter weighting for forgiveness. I agree w/ Jimmy though-the AWT shafts are non-responsive hence no fun to hit, so I put DGS300s in them and NOW hitting them and shaping shots either way is a treat. But if you change Ping iron shafts, make sure to get a very good club maker to fill in the hosels properly and all the way to the hosel top.

Customer Service

Ping customer service can't be beat by any company in the USA. They quickly respond to e-mails, plus I live in Minneapolis and had my set 4 days after ordering them from Phoenix.

Have played a number of irons, and the I10's are by far the favorite. Had the AWT shafts replaced with Dynamic Gold R300's, which I believe are more responsive. Playing a lot more confident, and hitting more greens. Also love the look of the iron at address. Many of the new irons these days have large faces with thick top lines.

PING Customer Service is the best in the Industry.

My Coach recommended these to me for my junior year, and I think he knows what he's talking about so i went out and bought them. I ended up being pretty disappointed. You really can't work the ball at all with these irons. I lost about 10 yards off every iron shot I had from my previous year. I gave it a 3 because I could tell how forgiving they were. Working the ball just isn't easy or even possible with these. long story short, im getting new clubs.

Let's all hope that Jimmy didn't strain his arm too badly patting himself on the back. It would be difficult to shoot all those 60's with a strained arm

I'm probably the best golfer in this forum so you might want to take a good look at my reivew of the Ping i10 irons. The Ping Eye 2 is a better iron and can be had for hundreds less. The AWT stiff shaft is sluggish and unresponsive. It feels like the ball lags on the face of the club. I only shot a 71 that day and for me that's a bad score. I actually got less distance with the i10's than I did with my Ping Eye 2 which can ony be explained by the shaft. These irons are not good enough for my skill level.

I bought this irons with high hopes of them being perfect since they were matched to my swing etc. I was very dissapointed. I carry an 18 handicap (bogey golf) and had Taylormade RAC OS 2 before buying these irons. I could not hit these the same way I did the Taylormades, the distances were all way off and I could not hit one green. I played them 5 times, going from a 165 7iron to missing short at 140 with these. It was just not for me. They did feel solid and when I struck the ball well I thought the ball would be too long, but it always came up short. This made my 4 iron good for about 180 yards which left me a huge gap between that and my hybred at 215. I traded them back in for newer Taylormades. I guess I am just a Taylormade guy. Maybe the new i15 will be better, seems Ping knows this is an issue with most people as their new design states distance as a newer advantage.

Customer Service

I did not use Ping customer Service, but Edwin Watts was very good. They traded me the Pings for Taylormade R7 even across. I know those are older models, but I am not much for the newest clubs out. I do my research and generally get an older club than the latest and greatest, seems a much better deal to my wallet.

After playing blades and forged Mizunos my whole life, and never being a Ping guy - the i5's caught my eye, but I waited and pulled the trigger when the i10s came out. And I'm thrilled with these irons and won't be getting new irons for a long time. For a decent player, the Rac LTs were great, MP-60's were better, but the i10s are perfect. The small head, minimal offset and small cavity-back encourage attack mode confidence with every club. However -- as I've read others say, I strongly feel the AWT shafts are a bit on the stiff, non-responsive side and I had an expereinced club builder put Dynamic Gold shafts in them and now they are all like accurate little rocket launchers with plenty of feel. I hope my new heroes at Ping don't excommunicate me for this. :-)

Customer Service

Ping's customer service is so good it's not even fair to compare with any other manufacturer. I ordered my standard length blue dots with stiff AWT shafts on a Sunday, and had them in my hands that Thursday. Built, inspected by at least 10 quality control people and delivered from Phoenix to Golf Galaxy in Bloomington MN in 4 days. I hope you're taking notes, One Month Mizuno!
