Strength:

Compact heads, progressive forgiving grinds in the low to mid iron ending with razor sharp blades(8-pw).

Weakness:

Strengths are the clean compact lines from address. Solid feel off the centre of the club. Compactness of the grooves do help a little more when hit from wet or fluffy ground. Grinds on mid to low irons are quite forgiving. Weakness is the feel or lack of, the pocket design(3/4iron) more so. Mid iron and short irons are quite solid but don't have anywhere near the classic forged feel from the likes of Mizuno or Titleist combo sets.

Shoots in the 80s
Model Reviewed: Nike VR Pro Combo

While I am not the typical candidate for players irons (mid 80's to mid 90's), I really like this set. Like any irons, they do exactly what my swing tells them to do, however, I find that with these I am more intentional in my swing so I catch them flush. They are players irons, especially from the 7 through PW, but they are not difficult to hit in the sweet spot. When I get too quick and the swing goes haywire, then the mis-hits are penalized more than my A7's, but that is to be expected. Like almost forged irons, they have great feel when hit on or near the sweet spot.

Summary - if you are an average, or better than average golfer aspiring to get better, do not be afraid of these irons. You will discover that you can find the sweet spot easily enough and get that forged feel reward when you do.
