This is a perfect blend of forgiveness and feel. I can actually hit the 3-iron a proper distance with these, and it allows me to draw and fade the ball. I bought it at full price ($800) and I wish it was a bit cheaper. But it is still a great club. |

NIKE PRO COMBO OS
Have tryed alot of irons the past year. Mainly Mizuno's, Cleveland and Nike products. This is my second set of pro combo os irons, the first having regular flex and my present set are stiff flex. What I found for myself I like the Nike's the best for my game which is a 14 handicap. The Mizuno irons are just the best, but they just don't have a model that fits my eye. The mx-23 & mx-25 are just to much game-improvement and the mp-60 & mp-32 just don't give me enough confidence at address. The mp-32 is the cream of the crop if you have the game. But back to the Nike's they are a really nice blend for me, not to much game improvement but with a large enough sweet spot. I don't think they have quite the feel of the mp-32's when hit on the sweet spot, but the Mizuno's sweet spot is small. The distance on the Nike's is standard for me, about the same as all the irons I've tryed. I bought my present set new in box for $290 on Ebay, seems like a great value for a forged set.

great irons!! just what i have been looking for. plenty forgiving, workable and looks great. could not ask for more. Great for mid handicappers. When you miss the sweet spot, you can tell, but not too much loss of distance, but when you hit it pure, like butter. I had been using the same clubs for the last twelve years and they finally started to actually crack and break. found a good deal on the nike clubs on TGW.com and couldn't believe the difference. They added 20 yards to each iron and great control. |

I have been a golf addict since 2000 and have played about five different sets of irons, the last two sets being forged blades. I came to the realization I needed more forgiveness, yet I didn't want to give up the forged feel of my irons. I went to my local golf shop, demoed several sets and chose the ProCombo OS with stiff steel shafts. There is no doubt these clubs have changed my game. Before, I had no clue if I could hit my mid and long irons. Today, I enjoy hitting them!! I have lowered my handicap index from an 8.2 to a 4.7 since I began using them. What else can is say...... These irons are definently the best set of irons i have ever hit. The speed step shafts help to get the ball really high without losing distance. This makes it very easy to get the ball close on every hole. Before buying these I hit nike CPR 2's and really liked them but they were taking alot of distance away from me. These added an unbelievable amount of distance to my irons. With the CPR's I could hit my 5 iron about 150 but with these I hit my 5 iron around 170.I would recomend these for someone who shoots in the low 90's or 80's.They have the distance and playability of blades with forgivness that blades lack. Customer Service Bought these on ebay for only 400 dollars which is 50% off what these are in most stores Similar Products Used: Adams Idea Nike CPR2's |

Nike Pro Combo O/S II
On demo day, I went to the range to hit all the Hybirds, I was hitting Callaway irons at the time so I started with those. After hitting the CPR 3, I ordered it on the spot, then decided to hit all the Nike Irons. We'll now I have the Pro Combo O/S II in the bag after being a Callaway man for the past 8+ years. The Pro Combo iron and SV wedges offers the most consistent feel and improved my accuracy by 8-10 yard! 1st round in the bad I shot 84, and since have putted for more birdies than ever before. If are considering new iron, this is the right on baby!, go hit them and you will not stop thinking about them until they are in your bag. FYI, I sold my Callaway iron, threw in 15 almost new shirts to make the full switch. I'm not being negative about Callaway big bertha iron, they are good club, but if you are ready to take your game to the next level the Nike Pro Combo Irons will get you there, the speed step shafts allows consist bal flight and distance control. I hit them so well on demo day, I dreamed about them until they were in the bag and I have not had a bad round of golf with them yet! If you are ready to Elevate your game, put the Pro Combo Iron in your hand and see how hard it will be to let them go, with just a few swings you'll see the difference! I just got these in July 2006. If you like consistent performance and accuracy, try these irons. My old irons had cavity-backed offset heads and graphite shafts. After six years I decided it was time to look at a newer set. I've always been able to shape shots with my old irons, but the Pro Combos make it easier and have better feel. The True Temper Speed Step steel shafts (regular flex) are more consistent and accurate than my old graphite shafts. These irons are easy to hit and provide a mid trajectory ball flight which penetrates the wind and gives me more distance; however, they also impart enough spin that even the 3 iron will hold a green at times (I use Maxfli Black Max and Nike Ignite balls). I absolutely love the feel in the 8, 9 and PW. The weight, balance, and consistent performance gives me alot of confidence. I am not afraid to flag these irons - even with the PW I can get a soft draw if I need it. My swing speed is about 87 mph and my 6 iron carries 150-160 yards. My handicap index is a 12. I think these clubs are perfect for my level of play... they are forgiving but also allow me to work the ball. If you're in the market for a new set of irons, give the Pro Combos a shot. This is the first review I've written, so that should tell you how good I feel about this set of irons!
