I purchased these clubs just because of the price. I owned a set of Titleist DCI irons for 20 years. I liked the traditional look and size.I dont change equipment often and stick with what works. It did take me some time to get use to the thicker top line and bigger head. First time I hit them did not like them. I tried again. Once I got past the different look I never looked back. I cant believe the distance I get with these irons. I am 1 to 2 clubs less with theses irons and hit an effortless tight draw. Best $120 dollars i ever spent. I cant justify spending big bucks on clubs to play 1 or 2 times a week. These clubs are every bit as good as the expensive clubs.

These are some superb irons. I had, for the first time today, all 8 irons in my bag... my previous round, I had just 4 of the irons out to see if I was going to like them... well... today I had my first ever even par round. Being around a 5 or 6, maybe it was a matter of time, but it sure was sweet! The feel of these is great, not as soft as the Mizuno or Hogan forgings, but definately has the great soft forged feel. Styled someshat similar to the Callaway X-14's, but more heft towards the xole, AND tungsten inserts in the sole as well... great balance, and the ball really pops off the face. Not too much offset, which I like. The uniflex shafts work just great, and the factory GP Tour Velvet grips are good stuff. Accurate, smooth, good distance without needing the suped up lofts of some of the newer stuff. I got them new on Ebay for $145... An absolute steal. I am a club hound, and have recently tried or played Ping G5's, i5's, Mizuno MX-23's and Taylor r7 XD's and RAC HT's, among several others... but these beauties are in the bag for a long time to come. They do everything well... very well!

Nickent is no longer making these irons hence the reason for the price drop. These irons are easy to hit and hits darn straight. When teeing off on par 3's, these irons are a gem. I've never been keen on shot shaping but when faced with a situation that I had to work a forced fade to avoid a tree, I did the best iron shot ever. From 160 yards I landed softly on the green, about 5ft from the hole which led to a birdie! I bought this club because it was cheap for a forged iron - $199.00 for a set. No regrets so far.
