I just played my first round with these T-zoid Trues. All I can say is, "amazing." They are the ONLY forgiving blade I have ever played. Once I worked out the kinks on the practice tee all went smooth. After a few years away from the game, I thought there would be no way I could strike blades again (used to play Tour Model Titleist and MP9). Boy was I wrong. HIGHLY recommend these if you can find them. I paid only $130 for an "as-new" 2-PW set with Rifle 6.0. Best part of this was I got $100 for my DCIb's on trade ... net $30! I'll give 5 stars for Value as used prices on these are WAY less than comparable blades. I'll give 5 for Overall as they feel loads better than any other irons I've hit previously, including the afformentioned MP9s.

I got this used for $40 at a local golf store and changed to a Winn grip. I must say is one of the best feeling drivers I’ve every used. Tried the Cobra SZ’s, but does not come close the soft feel of this Titleist. Other newer, large head drivers gave off a terrible “ting” feel. Despite the smaller size head, it’s very forgiving. Perhaps it’s the stock stiff shaft that is doing the trick. Give it a try. You won’t regret it.

Blade irons are not for everyone, but if you have the swing to hit fairly consistently on the center of the club face, I highly recommend these irons. They are much for forgiving, and slightly larger than a traditional blade. (I switched to these from an early nineties Ben Hogan blades and found them much more forgiving). Note also that they are slightly longer in distance than most irons of traditional loft like these. Check out ebay for pretty good deals on these - I got 3-P for around $200.00.

Beautiful looking irons. Isn't it weird that, that's the first thing I mention? When you hit these irons right, they sound and feel sweet. Not very forgiving, in my opinion. I recently bought these brand new, played them for a week until they were stolen. One thing I don't recommend is any X-Flex in these irons. You'll have to buy a 125 mph swingspeed along with it. Over all, I wasn't too sad when they were stollen. But did they have to take my R7 too? Sucks to be me, but that's golf...

This is my second set. I bought my first set 4 years ago and they still amaze me. I went to a set with 6.5 Tour Flighted Rifle Steel shafts from DGS-300's. These clubs are still amazing. They made my swing better because you need to be relatively consistent. These irons feel ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC when they are hit flush. I have tried many other irons and nothing even comes close (Except maybe the new MP-32's) You can work the ball either way and they are very forgiving for a set of blades. Most people are tentative in hittting them because they think they are not good enough to hit a blade, but they could not be any more incorrect in regards to these clubs. I promise you will love these clubs. The only comments I get from people that hit them that may be misconstrued as negative is that they are very heavy, which is oerfect for me as I clock a steady 95-100 with my 5-Iron. I find the heavier club makes my swing more consistent. And i agree with another reviewer, Taylor Made did nothing more than take a great design in the T-Zoid Bar and basically copied and incorporated it into one of their offerings. Makes me wonder if there wasn't a little "behind the scenes" agreement between Mizuno and TM. In any case, these clubs are great, you are passing up quite an experience if you do not give these a shot. There are some great bargains on EBay, but the as new or brand new condition offerings are still going for over $300 some close to $400! That is enough to tell you something, but a nice fair to good condition set can be had for 150-200. The only negative is that being forged, they ding very easily...even from routine bag use. Believe me when I tell you it is well worth the trouble and hassle of getting neoprene head covers because this is one beautiful set of irons. A little care will make these last for quite some time!

I replaced a set of cavity back irons that were falling apart. This is a nice looking set of clubs both in general and nice and slim at adress.I chose these mainly b/c I felt that with the cavity backs I was producing pretty good results but with a sporatic impact area (leading to solid hits but uncontrolled slight fading and dawing). When I first took these out, I could not hit ANYTHING. I strugled a few times at the driving range. Having been persistent I am amazed at the results I am now producing. My impact area tightened up so that just about all of my shots overlap on impact. For me - I'm smokin my 5 iron a dead accurate 175 on the fly with what feels like no swing (I feel like the ball will go 140 yds and die but it just launches) and an easy 200+roll on a fuller swing. I drilled my three iron yesterday and nailed a tree down the middle of the range estimate probably 220-230+roll. Whether its my swing now or that the clubs made me build my swing I definately reccomend these clubs. Probably not for higher handicap definately lower handicap will love these. Try them keep in mind - melted butter soft on a good swing - cinderblock hard on a bad swing.

Bought two sets used. Perfect clubs for those 10-15 handicapers seeking forged blade with some forgiveness. I went from 15 to 11 this summer playing the Mizuno True and Armour 845's V-25 (EVO). Liked the feel of the Mizuno better; irons feel much heavier than other forged clubs I played and tried at golf shops. You get great feedback on all shots and definitely know if you miss-hit the shot. The trajectory is mid for both my sets - Rifle 5.5 and DG S300 shafts. Only flaw, standard mizuno tour velvet wrap grips should be replaced.

Customer Service

Excellent. When I requested specs for the True, Mizuno rep sent them immediately.

These are a great set of clubs. They have a great feel and give plenty of feedback. When you hit them right you will definately know it. I have a little trouble working the ball with them but I think thats my problem not the clubs. I would definately recommend them if your looking to try out blade irons.

Best Irons I ever had! Since I switched from the Lynx Tour irons, I've shot several under-par rounds, with the best being 5 under. The irons offer such a great feel and they're very workable. You get that feel that you can't mis the target. Buy them now!!

I play to a 7.8 index and have tried just about every iron on the market. I have not found anything to compare with these irons--They are, for me, the perfect blend of playability and forgiveness. The offset in the low irons has not been an issue for me at all. I did find that with the DG S300 shafts, that these clubs were a little on the heavy side--I have since had them re-shafted with the Penley Stealth 70 stiff graphite shaft. It has brought the total weight down, but the swingweight has remained at a D3. I now have the perfect combination for my game. I would highly recommend these clubs to anybody at a 10 handicap or better. BTW...the new Taylormade RAC musclebacks are a complete and utter rip-off of the Mizuno TZoid True's--their aught to be a lawsuit or something!
