Mizuno T-Zoid T3 Titanium Insert
I purchased theses clubs as NOS (New old stock) this year in July for I needed a replacement for my old no-name-beginner clubs which were way too short for me. The set consists of iron 4 - 9, PW, F-Wedge, SW. Accel-Arc graphite shafts Regular flex, oversize heads with Titanium insert. I didn't have chance to test 'em befor buying, but they just felt "good" in my hands and were the only ones that had the "right" length and angle for me. The clubs are quite responsive and very forgiving, although the sweet-spot isn't too big, which means even with insert, T-Zoid bar the clubs don't play the ball alone... I was afraid of longer irons before (didn't go above five, but now I love playing with iron 4. The T-Zoid bar and the offset create a quite high ballflight (so iron 4 means only about 160 meters carry, and just some feet more rolling). The best club in this set is imho the F-wedge, bouncewise comparable with the PW, but with greater loft - i.e. the perfect gap wedge and actually my favourite club. Even with Noodles (very hard shell) I get a nice backspin with this club - great around the green. Sure, the clubs are not forged irons like the MX-20 or the MX-30and two/three years of club-making behind, but nevertheless they deliver a good feel for medium-to-high HC players. No need to think about other clubs until you really reached the borders of these clubs. And this will take some time. The only thing I don't like are the ferrules, two of them were already loose and are in repair at the moment - doesn't matter much but looks ugly and shouldn't happen to clubs the did cost 1220 USD originally... If you see a set with F-wedge in your local store, give 'em a try. For the low prices you can get them now these are really nice irons. Customer Service Phoned them twice and found them quite helpful. Similar Products Used: none. |

These irons are excellent. Just incredible. These irons single handedly took my game from the low 80's to consistent mid 70's. They are a bit heavier than most irons out there, but youll find that these clubs swing easy. Catch one on the sweet sport with these babies, and be prepared to impress some people. Very forgiving, and great distance, what more can you ask for in a golf club? I was skeptical in hitting these at first after i had my Taylormade Burners, but immediately fell in love with these. Id say i gained an average of 5 to 7 yards with every club compared to my old taylormades. |

Okay. 1st, these irons are awesome. I had looked at them new in Spring of 97 or 98, even had a flyer w/all the specs. Was really impressed w/all of the quality. Fast forward to Fall of 2001. Found a 3-PW set of thes same irons (used, but aren't they all after a bucket of range balls)and was getting back into golf so my 12 y/o son and I could play together. I purchased him a nice set of clubs, not Mizuno at same time I bought these from same site. We started playing and while it was enjoyable it wasn't great. This all leads up to present. I had my irons cut to fit me. I am 5'61/2" and was playing a standard club length. WOW, these irons went from great to awesome. The fellows I usually play with couldn't believe it. These irons hit the ball far and straight w/a proper swing of course. I agree with other reviews that these clubs, steel shaft on this set, do hit about 1-1 1/2 clubs stronger. this is from observing what others hit on par 3's and what I use. They go 7 I go 8. If you buy clubs, any clubs, RUN do not walk to nearest golf shop and get them cut to fit YOU. This has made the game a great pleasure. The Mizuno T3 Ti irons can be picked up on ebay and other related sites for less than $200 usually in used condition. If you are looking for a great set of clubs that are as beautiful as they are playable consider these clubs. These clubs would be a compliment to anyone looking for a name brand club at a very reasonable cost. Customer Service have traded emails w/ them and they have always rsponded promptly. Similar Products Used: NA |

Great irons. they have an awesome feel and are really forgiving. I am new to the game, but had looked at these clubs in Pro shop in 97''. They were $800-900 then. I would recommend them highly. |

Mizuno T3 Ti Insert Irons

None After having read all of the reviews on these irons, I decided to get a set and try them out. Here''''''''s what I found out. First, the irons are exactly one club up from my X14''''''''s. That is a T3 PW is equal to a Callaway 9 in loft and shaft length. I found this out to be the case on almost ever iron. That is why most of the reviewers say they are hitting them longer by one to one and one half clubs. Second, I have to agree that they have a softer feel, but that could be due to the sensicore shafts. The sound they make on contact is a duller thud, not the crisp whack of a Callaway. I do not find them superior to my Callaways, but more equal to or the same. I do like the shape and size of the heads. Now I can hit a 120 yard pitch shot to the green instead of the 100 yards my Callaways produced. Both have the same accuracy. However, I plan on keeping them and will play with them for another month and see if I improve as the other reviewers suggest (this remains to been seen). Anyway for $235.00 rather than the original $699.00, who''''''''s going to complain. I''''''''m going to rate thes 5 stars till the next post which will be in one month. None Simply fantastic clubs. Narrowed my selection down to T3’s and TM burners. Opted for Mizuno’s simply because of references from two playing partners. Massive sweet spot delivers towering irons at least 1.5 times longer than my old Top Flights. Within approx one month I was consistently shooting four shots off my round (~80) If I could level one criticism at the irons is the large gap between the PW and SW but this is still not enough to mark down from five stars. Don’t know why Mizuno discontinued this range but if you can still get yer hands on them then buy ‘em – you’ll not be disappointed. Customer Service Not sure Similar Products Used: TM Burners |

Very nice clubs. I don't have to try to hit hard at all. I swing gently with these, and it goes far! I hit much further with these than with any other clubs I've tried thus far (Lynx, Callaways, Taylor Mades, other older Mizunos, few generic ones). Now, I never worry about getting distance. Excellent loft as well. Very good trajectory. Mizuno doesn't make these anymore so they are on sale for very cheap. If you find one, it should only be around 300 or 400 bucks. I tried the Mizuno T-3 with the graphite shafts as well as the Cleveland TA-5's with the steel shafts. For my swing and level of play, the Mizunos allowed me to get the ball higher and further with more consistency. I have started golf for 5 months and have been playing with my Spalding since. However, I have been shopping for a new set of irons and have tried many models my friends lend me. Two weeks ago I chanced upon this website which gives me a lot of useful information. I noticed that the T3 receives top scores from the 11 reviews and decided to give it a try. In Hong Kong, you buy clubs off the shelf and very seldom have the chance to demo like in the US. I bought these clubs entirely on confidence of fellow golfers who submitted reviews. Well, a half hour on the driving range convinced me that all the things said about these clubs are true. They are very easy to play with and has good distance and accuracy. The weight of the clubhead actually brings it to the ball during the downswing very naturally and I have tried purposefully to mis-hit it in different ways and still managed to have the ball behave not so badly. I think I would stick to this set for a long time, at least until I am into the 90's. Similar Products Used: Taylor Made T1 Bubble; Mizuno MP33; Spalding MV2 Super; Maxfli Revolution |

After reading the many positive reviews on this club I decided I’d go hunting for a set. After a couple weeks of searching, I found them used on Ebay with stiff graphite shafts for only $265 bucks! These clubs used to retail at around $1200 only a few years back. Great Deal! Similar Products Used: X-14's, Taylor Supersteel, Ping eye2 |
