I've had these since 2000 and still using them. Good combination of easy to hit and workability, but right now there's even easier to hit irons out there. Not as long as my buddy's Taylormade RAC's or Nike Slingshot. My friends that shoot in the mid 80's to 70's absolutely hate them. However, everyone I know that shoots in the mid 80's to 100's love them

Bought a used set 6 months ago after using a beginner set from VOIT (two clubs broken in pieces!) This Mizuno set is excellent, very usefull for a beginner like me. Nice high ball flight and excellent ball control. Great set!

The best cast irons ever made.

Wild statement? Well, I have owned or tried over 100 sets of irons over the last 3 years. Yep, it is crazy, but I think I have the experience, even if way over the top, to judge an iron. Newer is not better.

The Sures have a players sole (narrow but with some bounce, unlike many of the older models which lacked bounce),and a game improvement size (mid-size). The top line is not thin, but is moderate and not clunky. The castings are top notch (not a big surprise being Mizuno's), have great feel and are hot off the club face. I prefer cast to forged, but that is just me. Spin is excellent, which was a bit of a surprise to me. Very forgiving, due to the added length from the toe to the heel.

These irons are very easy to hit, give great confidence over the ball, and are workable, if you have the skills to work it. This is, IMO, because the offset is less than many game improvement models. You can find many irons that can work the ball better (meaning fade the ball... anybody decent can hook an iron) but unless you are a very low hdcp, so what? Players in the 80's and 90's need to hit it straight and score well before worrying about "working" the ball too much, IMO.

Just because this model is what, 10 years old, does not mean that it is not a great design still. And the combo of a players sole with a mid-size head with minimal offset... outstanding!

Note: Nike came out with a similar concept with the Pro Combo OS... they, however, put the game improvement in the sole and kept the head small with minimal offset... another great idea... so if you LOVE forged, they are worth a look.

Yes a long-winded review, sorry, but I am so impressed with these Sure irons, I bought another set... first had Dynalite S300, second had R300 Dynamic Gold Plus with Sensicore (much better shaft).

The Sure's are hard to find, but still a few sets drift through Ebay. If you are still looking, before you spend the big buckaroos on a new model, try the Sures with a good shaft.

Just bought a used set these Mizuno's from American golf for £39.99!!! . Wow... thought they would be a good back up set but they are too good for that, recommend them to anyone looking to get value for money, they may be old but they are as good as the MX range.

I currently own a set of these clubs in stiff graphite. I currently play a set of MacGregor M565s which I love.

However, I think these clubs are better for anyone with a handicap above 15. I plan on using the Macs and occasionally playing with these once in a while to compare.

These clubs shoot dead straight no matter what you do. I play a slight draw, but occasionally hook. Is dead straight a bad thing about 98% of the time - NO. Maybe if you are in a scramble it is nice to show you can work the ball.

If the name of the game is to hit irons straight, long and with the lowest score you will be hard pressed to find another club.

Let's face it - part of playing the game is the equipment you use. Everyone would like to say I shoot in the 70s and use forged blades. The truth is most people will not score well with blades.

If you are big into iron names in golf, you will not find a name more pretigious than Mizuno. It's a simple fact.

I got these on eBay to replace a set of starter clubs I bought. After playing for a season, I figured I could write a review. I've gone from a ridiculous score (120) down to the mid-high 90s with these guys. They're great clubs: they're light, have good feel, and are easy to hit. Swinging these clubs is pretty effortless. They don't force you to swing a certain way, which can be a good thing or a bad thing, depending. For some odd reason I hit them better on the course than I do on the range. Be warned. I threw out the 3 and 4 irons and replaced them with Callaway Heavenwoods. Much better. As other reviewers pointed out, the 9 and P seem to be really different than the rest of the set. At ebay prices, you can't go wrong. Some golf shops might have demo clubs of this model still lying around, so be sure to swing it a few times and see for yourself.

Bought my set on ebay for $150 three months ago but wanted to put in several rounds before writing my review. I LOVE THESE CLUBS. They are very easy to hit and when I hit the sweet spot, I am amazed at the height and distance I am able to achieve. They play at least a club longer than my old set and thanks to the sensicore shafts, my hands don't feel like they have shattered when I mis hit. It has taken me a little time to adjust to the larger head but I am now comfortable with them after 15+ rounds. The ball seems to want to fly straight. My only complaint is that I waited so long to buy a set.

I think these are one of the best game improvement irons out there for the money. The technology might be older, but they perform as well or better than the current offerings. Very easy to hit, long and very forgiving. Surprisingly soft feel for a cast iron. These are my back up set but might get more playing time in the near future.

What can I say? This set of club is at least 5 years old in technology, and still perform better and longer than some of the current ones out there. They go high and long. As I get better, these clubs seem to grow with you. Its potential never seize to amaze me from shooting 145 yards with a 7 iron to now 165 yards 5 years later.. It responds to your demande
