I gain a club in distance so it took some time to get control. I swing more under control with more distance and accuracy.

Swapped these for my aging Titleist DCIs and immediately felt a lot more forgiveness on off centre hits and although I was hesitant to switch back to steel, the TT Gold Plus R400 (with sensicore) shaft is just right for me, when you swing hard, you can really feel the shaft "load" but without a loss of accuracy. At impact the feel is as soft as any cast club I have ever used and the ball is launched on a high trajectory but without a loss of distance, it's about half a club longer than my DCIs and the longer and mid irons are a joy to hit from the tee or the fairway, never failing to get the ball in the air even with a poor swing. The longer and mid irons are also pretty easy to shape different ways, though the high trajectory on the shorter ones make punch shots a little more tricky. However from the rough, even the shorter irons are not as effective as I would like them to be. For some reason, the clubhead seems to get caught in the rough a lot easier than many oversize clubheads I have used. Overall the shape of the irons, although clearly game improver in shape, do inspire confidence and look good. With their superior line of T Zoid wedges it would have been nice if the sand wedge which came with the set was more along traditional lines, but it performs well from the sand and fairway. The mid and short irons also have tremendous feel for small pitches and chip shots. This club I believe will suit a lot of mid handicappers looking to improve their games, at considerably less than the top priced clubs. Their quality is without question and in my view anyone from a 6-16 handicap will enjoy these. If I get my game back down to 6, I may even keep them still, so good are they. Comparable very favorably to the best on the market. One last note, Mizuno irons come with the hugely successful Tour Velvet grip, I found it too abrasive and switched them to the new Golf Pride Tour Wrap Softie grip.

Got mine for 450GBP when they were new on the market - my first clubs.
Very easy to use. Lots of feel and forgiving with it. Friend of mine who plays off 16 tried them and reckons they're a better bet than his Ping Eye2 irons.

Excellent Irons. Straight & long yet very forgiving with good distance on toe & heal hits. I bought them with the S300 Gold Plus shafts & they are balanced & the feedback is very good. The oversized heads are easy to align & give good confidence. I tried the Taylor Made Supersteels for 2 months with rifle shafts & hooked 8 of 10 shots. The sures fit my game better & I believe they are a much better club. You can't go wrong here.

Very forgiving set of clubs. Thin hits jar a bit and fly low but maintain their line and have good distance. Clubs are very offset so if you hook beware. The low irons are very strongly lofted (pitching wedge is 45 degrees) thus forcing me to carry three other wedges. I think these clubs are soon to be discontinued so good deals can be found. For the price they are great.

Awesome clubs. Traded my X12s and couldn't be happier... I learned my lesson - you don't have to pay a lot to get quality and performance - These clubs are long, have great feel, are workable, and have great balance... they are a MUST test for anyone looking for a set of irons (Any handicap)

FANTASTIC! What a great set of irons, I played my first round with these last night and could not have been more impressed by the consistency of both the feedback into the hands and the flight of the ball. Normally struggling to break 100, I hit an astonishing 85!! Can' wait for my next outing.

These are excellent mid-line clubs. The Sensicore shafts make them heavier than similar products, yet the feel and the weight distribution are great. I'm not totally adjusted to them (and I'm not a great golfer as it is) but my shots are truer and straighter than they were before. I got a huge distance boost with these since my old clubs had me underperforming -- I can hit a Sure 4-iron 180 yards now, vs. 155 on my junky old clubs. Phenomenal irons for the money, sophisticated yet forgiving and good for duffers and decent players alike. Mizuno supposedly discontinued them, so get them new while you can or look for a used set.

Swung a lot of clubs in the $300-600(retail) price range before I found these; I also liked the Cleveland TA-5s but didn't play 18 with them. I bought the Sure Irons for $480.

Bought a set of 3-PW Sure irons with the sensicore dynamic gold shafts (stiff - S300) for a steal at $291 from egghead.com last February. I am really glad I bought these clubs. I am getting 10-15 yards more distance per club, better accuracy, and my chipping has improved greatly. At times, I wish I had bought the True forged blades (from Edwin Watts for $349) because the heads on the Sure are quite large and I like the "classic" blade look, but the results I am getting from the Sure's can't be argued with. I love these irons!

Customer Service

I called Mizuno prior to buying the Sure's and they provided me with some great information helping me select the right club for me.
