Played them all. If you have trouble releasing the clubhead, get rid of the offset irons you now play, and try these. If I could make the same degree of improvement in my woods, as I have my iron play, since buying the zoids, I wouldn't know how to act. I also decided to go with the R-300 Sensicore shaft, which I believe an exceptional choice, even for those who will find it "unmanly". Additionally, forget the crap about having to be a single digit player to use a forged blade-like club. These are in my bag for a long, long time. If the Pro II's are better, they should be illegal.

These are great clubs. It's definitely recommended for those who have mid handicap and looking for the traditonal look, at least that's why I bought this irons. These clubs let you know when you mis-hit, but if you hit a solid shot, you will remember it for the rest of your life.

when i first bought these i bought for the reason that i wanted to improve my game. These irons will not hide or counteract a slice or a hook, playing these have forced me to become a better ball striker, and these give FEEDBACK, so id reccomend these to anyone who wants to improve their game!

These irons have fantstic feedback, but are not that forgiving. If you hit the ball consistently these clubs will allow you to work the ball. If you tend to hit the ball all over the clubface then these will lack in distance.

Having played Ping Eye 2s for many years I was somewhat reluctant to make the change over to a forged model, however, m son has played MP 14s for the past 2 years and enjoyed them. The T Zoid Pro are superb. I'm 1/2 club longer than my Pings, they have great feel off the face and very few mis- hits. I beleive they're easier to hit than many of the cavity backed clubs simply because of their hybrid design. Good job Mizuno!

I've played since I was 4, but I'm coming back after a long lay off. Anyway, I agree with one of the other reviews that these clubs are very strong distance-wise. I've defintely had to adjust. But, boy, do they feel great when you hit'em. I was talked into swithcing over to steel/forged head and I have been very happy. They are not terribly forgiving clubs, but I'm not looking for forgiveness. I want to get my game back to where it once was, not use a club to compensate for bad habits. As a value, I do agree with the complaint (though not quite as vigorously) about the quality of workmanship. The chrome is coming off my clubs as well and I really haven't used them that much. Anyway... bottomline: I highly recommend them... for serious players.

Customer Service

I was very, very unhappy with the fact that it took over two months to get a 2 iron. It really hurt my game. They were switching over computers in their factory, but were completely unapologetic when I told them I had been promised the club by two weeks after I'd purchased the set.

Great clubs!! Very fogiven for a fordge club. When you hit it on the toe you loose some distance but not that much. If you want to get better get these clubs, they won't hide any mistake. They will let you know were you hit the ball and what went wrong or what you did correct. No matter what is your handicap this club would help you to improve your game without to many penalties. My next step are the Mp-33. I have hit them in the stores and they felt pretty good for blades.

Great irons. Once you get used to a forged club it is difficult to go to a cast club. The feel is great -- you can feel where you strike the ball! The cavity back design covers up some of your bad swings.
As for comments on the workmanship of the T-zoids, excellent.

The first time i hit these clubs, i pured the first shot i hit and new right away i had to have these clubs. when i first took them on the course i didn't hit everything as good as i had the first time i hit them. But after taking them to the range and adjusting my swing and ball placement in my stance i started hitting with much more consitency. Now i absolutely lve these clubs. They are slightly less forgiving then most cavity backs i've played but more forgiving then other forged clubs. I would recomend them as long as you swing consitently. Otherewise your game will suffer.

Model Reviewed: Pro Forged (Rifle 5.5)

I started with Mizuno irons to Callaway to Titleist, and now back to Mizuno. They are still one of the best in the market for players' club. This is not just from playability but also from looks. I'd just offloaded my old 2nd-hand irons and some wedges in exchange for this almost new set of Pro Forged. I just played 1 round, did 85...blame in on the short game. Iron plays were both excellent and very very enjoyable. It is fun to hit these irons and exciting to watch the ball flight. The feedback is soft but distance/direction is very consistent (as compared to Callaway). Weight distribution with the rifle 5.5 is just perfect to give me a good consistent divots' depth. I love these irons.
