I played with eye 2's for 20 years and decided to up the ante. My ball striking has always been good and I subscribed to the argument that a less forgiving club would make me concentrate on even better ball striking. These clubs ROCK! The feel compared to my Ping's is substantial. Shot dispersion is FAR less and they're more workable. The best is the feel at contact and ball flight. If you are coordinated these are worth buying!

I have been playing the titleist 690 CB's for the last five years and recently switched to the MP 62's. I don't play as often as I used to and was looking for a bit more playability while sacrificing as little feel as possible. These clubs are quite a bit more forgiving than the 690's, but they don't feel quite as sweet when struck on the button as the titleist irons. I also lost about half a club distance on each iron when solidly struck (I have DGS300 shafts in both sets). However, the mp 62's are still a great set of sticks. They have a great feel, good feedback, and the extra forgiveness of the carbon forging in the 62's do make up for the loss of distance and feel of the 690's.
Miss hits travel farther, I am still able to work the ball in both directions pretty easily, and the slight offset of the 62's makes it easier to hit strait shots. I would recommend these irons to any good ball striker looking for an excellent combination of forgiveness and feel.

I have played both RAM and PING prior to putting my Titleist DCI 962s in my bag. I absolutely love them. For 10+ years I have loyally stuck with them...not jsut because I am loyal but because Titleist makes great clubs. As a matter of fact, I never thought I would play any club other than my Titleist DCI 962s. That was until I hit the new Mizuno MP 62 irons. Wow!!! They are solid feeling yet like butter when I connect in the sweet spot. They give me the ability to work the ball, and give phenomenal feedback. Not only do the MP 62 irons provide superior playability but they are an absolutely beautiful club. I am a lower handicap golfer typically shooting in the mid to upper 70's.

Customer Service

I purchased my clubs at the Golf Exchange in Florence KY and they have been absolutely wonderful...fantastic customer service!

Just started playing golf regularly again at the start of this season and wanted to buy a new set of irons, because my old set the Mizuno MX23 were looking well used. I was trying everything out, beliving the media hype / reviews Nike VRs, Taylor Made Burners 09, Mizuno MXs, Callaway X Forged, in search of the same feeling and performance as my MX23s. I am no golfer yet, and I know who these MP62s are aimed out, but these are so forgiving and the feeling and performance is just awesome. When you hit them, it's true the
ball flight is consistent, penetrating and it's a rainbow shape, and the ball just drops and stops where you aiming at! And the marketing line there's no club like or feels like a Mizuno is true! They look the part as well. If you serious about golf, looking to improve and be consistent, or even a well established single hadicapper, I seriously recommend them or try them at least.

Customer Service

Never used, expecting fast service if I send them off to be adjusted, or go to the Mizuno fitting centre in London looks impressive.

Im 19 and play off plus 1. i have played mizuno pretty much all my career and i still maintain to this day that the mp32s are the best set of irons i have ever owned. that was until i tried the mp 62s. i got rid of them after 2 years to upgrade to the 57/67s split set as i struggled with the long irons sometimes. then i was playing with another lad who had a set of 62s he wasnt getting on with so we swapped for a couple of weeks. i instantly fell in love with them. the feel is perfect, the head size is ideal, and dont look too small and scary behind the ball!! on mis-hits, the ball travels so much better (as in trajectory) than my old 57s and feels just brilliant. as many tour pros have proved by putting the clubs straight into the bag, these irons are something special. however, like the 32s, players up to a 12 handicap or so could get the benefits out of them as much as a single figure or a scratch golfer could. i usually have a fairly low ball flight with a traditional 'aeroplane take off' trajectory, but these irons helped me a chieve towering shots that fly off the face rainbow style!! absolutely brilliant. if your in the market for a new set of sticks, dont go anywhere near taylormade or callaway, as these babys are sure to be the best golfing purchase youll ever make!

Customer Service

The individual serial numbers really help you to get the exact clubs to match your set if you happen to break one or lose one, meaning that if you have been custom fitted, all your loft and lie angles will have been kept. i bent the head on a five iron on my old set, and the club was repaired and sent back to me within 7 days.

I just received my MP 62 irons and they are AWESOME. i went 3-9 iron no W bc it looks like a shovel , hard stepped an S300. These babies feel like butter when you hit them. I was playing the x-forged and they felt like crap compared to Mizzy forging. Best forging in the business. Just saw Donald playing these puppies at Augusta.

Believe me, as a pro I've been through just about every offering....some for free from the manufacturers, some I've paid for. This might be the best model ever built by Mizuno and I've played every model since the MP-9. There is a reason for virtually every Mizuno staff player recently changing to this model.......simply, it works. The forgiveness, the grind, the feel, the feedback. It is truly a historically special model....a remarkable experience.
If you never try this model, you will miss a new era of feel and forgiveness. The best Mizuno offering in 20 years.

I pretty much change clubs each year, and often times, throughout the year. The Mizuno MP 62's were exactly what I was looking for. I played the 32's for a season and always felt they were the best Mizunos I had played. This year, I tested out the 52's and 62's and found that the 62's were not only a better fit, but easy to hit and very true in terms of distance. In comparing these to previous MP's like the 30's and 60's, there is no comparison in my opinion. These are much easier to hit and are much more consistent. In comparing the 62's with the new Titleist AP2's as well as the R7's, again, I felt there was no comparison.
To me, these are very pure irons when struck well. They are predictable in terms of flight and workability, and they are very soft upon contact. I still can't get over the feel. Factoring in the technology in today's irons, particularly from Mizuno, I think these are their best irons.
If you look a little bit on eBay, you can actually pick up a set for in the high $500's and low $600's with Project X shafts. Pretty good value when you consider the price of competitors out there.

Great sticks! If you like a slightly heavier club (It helps me feel the face throughout the swing). Look is classic and clean. If you are a mid 80's and lower player, you will enjoy the feel. Nothing feels better than Mizuno Forged and these match any of the clubs they make. I'm going to keep these around for a long time.

Not sure why there hasn't been any reviews yet on the MP-62, but I will provide what I can from a limited range session and one round with my new sticks. I have had Mizuno MP-30 irons for the last 5 years and have loved every minute of it. I have been waiting for an offering from Mizuno which would adequately replace my MP-30's. The MP-60 just seemed a little oversized and the MP-67 just never caught my eye with the cut muscle stuff. The MP-62 and MP-30 are almost identical in some ways. It seems even though the 62 is more like a blade, they have more perimeter weighting than the 30. The MP-62 has slightly less offset through the set which is evident in the 3 and 4 iron.
All this being said the MP-62's still have a ton of forgiveness. I played in 55 degree weather with them and I was still getting great distance on slight off-center hits. On center my yardages were right on with the MP-30's. The 62 is a very heavy head which I like very much. I used to put lead tape on my irons. This is not necessary with the 62. I got the S300 shafts which are great. I have tried the rifles but they just seem a bit stiff like a board. Just not as much feel as the DG S300.
The feel of these clubs is absolutely perfect just like you would expect from Mizuno if you have played them before. I know these clubs are considered a combo of the MP-60 and MP-32. That seems an accurate characterization. Seems corny, but I think technology has allowed clubmakers to offer the best of both worlds, forgiveness and playability.
I think mid-handicappers could definitely play these clubs. I would discourage a higher handicapper from buying them though.
