I do not agree the concept of buying MP Series Iron only if you are a low handicapper. I purchased MP 33 18 months ago, was a 15, now down to 8, probably because of it. MP37 is not the same as MP33! The sweet spot has moved closer to the heel, as most 3-15 handicappers usually mis-hit in those area. Therefore, if you believe the thoery, it's more forgiving for this group of people. I am. If you look down from the top carefully, the club appears to be very slightly smaller than MP 33. The Balance of the two club is also different, if you compare the two specs, as MP 37 is 1 degree more upright, which is a key. FYI, I hit 10% longer and straighter after a PGA Club fitting Pro tilt my clubs 2 degrees upright. For a sensitve club like MP 37, small change is a big change. Mizuno also claimed that you'll hit lower trajetory. Now, that's not necessary true, because you need to custom fit the proper shaft and lie angle to produce that type of ball flight. The little funny story is that the Sales rep told my friend about such, and I purposely hit high Fade with them, it's all about skills. Regardless, I see no difference in MP37 and MP33's ball flight. But I can control them 90% of the time in practice and about 50% in competitive game. All of the above is my analysis after many hours of practicing. The trend, even in the PGA, is to hit bigger size club for long irons, and I have been constantly searching for them, until I found them recently. If you are in Asia, go give Mizuno S-30V a try. It's bascially MP33 with bigger club head and bigger sweet spot. It is the classic forge from Mizuno but the bad news to those who live in U.S. or Europe, it's only availble in Japan and Asia. Go Check the Japanese Webiste from Mizuno and find the S30V, I'm sure the MP fan club would love them. As for my recommedation regarding MP37. If you love the game of Golf, buy them, but make sure you custom fit, the lie angle, and the length and type of shaft. But two warnings, #1. Once you go Forge, you can't go back. No other type of material will suit your taste again. #2. Forge is very soft material, the lie angle will flatten out if you practice a lot, and the surface can easily be scratch if you don't take care of them. The PGA PRO's advice is to check the club's specs every 3 months if you play quite a bit. Last but not least, my 50 handicapper girlfriend decide to use them simply because they look good. She hit them as good as any other irons. I hope she doesn't read this review as I mention her handicap....

i have been reviewing these irons on the review sites and decided to give them a try. the fit and finish is the best. they look great in the bag and are a serious iron. the mp-37 s are perfectly balanced and hit very consistently the distance you prescribe for them. i like them better than the titleist 690's, hogan apex 50's, and the taylor made rac tp,s-i have owned them all at one point. my 16 handicap friend tried them on the range and even though he liked the look and feel he said they were tto much club for him at this point. i would recommend these irons to + handicaps to -7 ;you won,t be disappointed. once you try forged blades from Mizuno you have reached the pinnacle. the tourstage irons look nice that are only being released in japan in the blades.

Firstly i am a traditionalist, and as far as i am concerned unless you are using a blade then you just aint a playing golf, you are instead making a mockery of what was once a pure and true sport. A good club shouldnt aid you to hit longer and straighter, instead it should teach you how to do so. Which is why i consider the MP-37 to be the one if the best money can buy. It is in essence the MP-33 but hits slighty lower, longer and therefore is a little less forgiving. Feel and control are in my opinion second to none. But where the 37 wins hands down is the balance of the club, it is seemingly perfect, which in turn allows you to make the proper swing and impart the exact type of spin you require. It is a proper golf club, pure, true, consistant, unforgiving and offers you total control, reminds me very much of the old Wilson Staff tour blades. This is how golf is supposed to be played!

Bought a combo set of mp-30 3-6 and mp-37 7-pw with TT x-100 shafts. Used to play pro II's with s-300 shaft. This is a great set with the stiffer shafts. Actually kept the same distances from the s-300 shafts with a lot less distance and accuracy variances. The feel difference between the mp-30's and mp-37 is minimal. The mp-37's are very workable and nothing beats the feel of a mizuno forging. I wanted the forgivness of technology with the cavity on the long irons. I have had no problem working the mp-30's as well as the 37's. It might sound like a broken record but the correct shaft determines a large amount of the playability to a set and then a mizuno forged head and a grip of your choice and you have the best club money can buy.

I recently got these irons because i felt it was time to start hitting blades. I play High School golf and for the whole fall season i played with the Mizuno MP-37's. They are the sweetest thing i have ever hit.The clubs have smaller heads and i recomend that you have a 6 handicap or better to het these. They are as forgiving as cavity back and still sting will you hit them bad.I switched from Callaway X-14 Pro Series to these clubs. I liked these irons much better because i have much more control and can work the ball better. With the Callaway's i would hit my 9 iron 153 and then once in a while i would hit it 163. Very hard to judge the distance. Well i hope this gave you an idea about these irons.

These Mp 37 irons are the sweetest feeling Irons I have ever hit. I spent hours in the golf shop hitting different irons for weeks, and I came to the conclusion that these MP 37 irons were the best feeling iron on the shelf. The Titleist blades can't hold a cup of water to these things. I took the Taylor Made Rac blades and hit them side by side on the range with the Mp 37s and again came to the conclusion that nothing feels as good as the MP 37s. I can work the ball at the drop of a hat and find that the trajectory is tour like. I used to hit the Mizuno T-Zoid Pro II's, and I liked them alot, but I needed to go to a more competitive iron to keep progressing with my game. These Mp 37's are my choice above any other irons on the market. I have only hit them a few times since I have purchased them, but if the future feel and playability of these clubs is anything like I have expereinced in the short time I have hit them, then I am going to have a great time playing golf and scoring low.

long irons deliver boring path at first which ascends mid-way, somewhat larger sweet spot than the wilson staff blades, feels just as sweet as my other old forged blades of the 80's and 60's. this is a modern revival of the classic blades just for the purists. one disappointment: doesn't sting as bad in mis-hits. recommendation to choosing the right set: get TT sensicore, mid kick-point, definitely stiffer than s300, have it custom fit especially the shaft! i bought the off-the-shelf set. played for a couple rounds and loved it. however i had to custom fit the shafts given the seriousness of my game. after that, the set actually performed the way it was supposed to. although every set performs better with after fitting process, mp-37 actually hits better than other fitted sets i still own.

Without a doubt, the best forged irons ever made. Mizuno has always made the best blades, and they have out done themselves with these sticks. I used to play MP 29's, and most recently Apex Blades with Rifle Proj X 6.5 shafts... I put the same shafts in these bad boys, and the are PURE! I've been looking for a new set for a while, but it was tough to leave the Hogan's. I had to because the face was getting old on the Apex's. Its so hard to find a good all around club, feel, design, offset, loft, look, etc... These hit every one. The MP 33's are a little to weak lofted, and too round. You will NOT go wrong with these clubs if you can handle a blade, the are simply put the best of the best bar none.

My mp14s are now my range clubs, very nice range clubs, but they get lapped by the new 37s. Miz has, for me, hit the target dead square with these. Alignment and visual cues on the ball are absolutely outstanding - by far the best feature of these sticks. There is no point disucssing feel and feed back - forged Mizuno steel piled directly behind the ball, what do you think center hits feel like, should be obvious. Offsets are very shallow all the way through so they work nicely. Rolled front edge cuts shallow. Stronger lofts are apprecaited since elevation was never much of a problem anyway. Very dense, small heads work very well from tight lies. Every page of the book has been improved. And the finish on these puppies is really startling. I'm surprised, but pleased to say, IMO - Head and shoulders above anything else I've ever swung.
