After a year with these clubs, I am finally beginning to take advantage of the club’s true potential by hitting almost all shots flush. With these clubs it is easy for anyone with a solid swing to command the ball at will and even on off days, where the swing is shaky, the difference is not material. The clubs are naturally bent few degrees stronger and that causes a low and penetrating ball flight (more distance as well). Because of that on windy days the wind does not really affect the ball, but there is just a little loss in distance.

The only problems that I used to have with these clubs were related to the weight. These clubs are a bit heavier and a bit longer than most other blades out there. Now I am used to it and I think I like it better than the lighter/shorter clubs out there.

I have hit a bunch of other blades (except Nike and Cleveland) and I think they all fall short of mizuno’s unmatched feel. All other blades do feel soft at impact, but it is almost like the ball bounces off the clubface (which provides great distance control). As opposed to that, with my mizunos I feel that the clubface hugs the ball for more time and allows me to almost guide it at will. Because of that distance can vary a little bit. To sum it up, the shot precisely reflects the swing.

Oh just as a final advise, I think it is wise to bend these upright 1 or 2 degrees and sacrifice a club length of distance to be able to stop the ball on fast greens.

Having played or tried most blades,I have not used one that comes close to these.Truly amazing. They look just beautiful when you sit them behind the ball and they really stick the ball to the club face. You could land a ball on a pool table and still stop it.Never believed before that a club could improve accuracy but these are real pin seekers.Mizuno claim these have a lower or boring flight,I can't claim to have noticed this, but have found them 5-15 yards longer than most I have used.

Model Reviewed: MP-37 Project X 6.0

(This is a follow-up to a review I posted last year)

After playing the MP-37's for a year, I didn't think they could get any better. I was wrong. I recently took my S300's out and replaced them with Rifle's Project X 6.0 shafts. Unbelievable! The trajectory is much easier to control and I gained 5-10 yards per club without additional effort. Impact feels even smoother- if that is possible. The 6.0 is around 10% stiffer than the S300 and is also a few grams lighter. There is a reason why so many PGA players are moving to these shafts. I got a set of 10 brand new Project X shafts on Ebay for $125 and loaded them into 2I-SW(Golfsmith charges $209 for 8 shafts). I would recommend you take a look at these. To find the right frequency for you: go to www.royalprecision.com and sign up for the Royal Treatment. That will take you to the fitting program.

Remeber back in the days when you were young and you fell head over heels for your first love? I had that same exact feeling when i borrowed these blades from a friend of mine and played a few rounds the last month or so. It was like love at first sight!
She was beautiful from the outside. Chrome finised, slick design, petite size, awesome weight distributions, the total package! Yes fellas i'm talking about the Mizuno MP37, not my first love from highschool!
I've played with many irons in my life, i'm 32 by the way, been playing for 10 years now. And let me tell you, there's not an iron out there that can compare. I played with them for a month, about 12 rounds, just wanted to make sure it's not a fluke because you know how you try something new, at first it's all great and fun, then reality set in. well, I was so impressed! So impressed went on ebay and bought 2 sets, one for me and other for my brother who also tried it and fell inlove as well. I've never hit so many greens in regulations. Just dead acturate. Whereever you aim, thats where your ball will go. I'm not a very long hitter, average at most. I shoot in the 70's mainly becasue of my short game, which i pratice alot. Like the saying goes..."it's not how you drive it's how you arrive" but these irons, it just gave that much more confidence when i stand over the ball. Actually gain about 10 yards for irons, which is alway a plus for me.
Anyways, would defintely recommend to any mide to low handicappers. You won't be sorry and it's worth every penny!

Great Irons. Hands down the best there is. I've been playing them for 2 years now and nothing compares to there balance, feel, playability (I play little draws and cuts), distance, and looks. I’ve played and owned them all, Titleist 690, TaylorMade rac mb, miz mp 33&32, callaways, cleveland, nike, and anything else out there, and all of them have there own great qualities, but the mp37's combination of everything is what separates it from the rest. I have buddies that shoot 80's-100's and they have all hit my irons on the range, although all of them can hit golf shoots with these clubs (some more often then others) and can tell you the diff. b/t there CB or game improvement clubs and how soft these are, all would agree that you need to be at a certain level to enjoy these clubs and the game as a whole to play with these on the the course. I would say if your higher then a single handy, work your way into blades, for example they have great combo sets now or CB that play similar to blades, but have a lil more in forgiveness. I say this b/c these irons demand a lot of attention as far as practice, personal I’ve been thinking about switching to the miz mp 30, b/c I recently moved to NYC and I just don’t have the time that I need. Out of the few times ive been to the range I can notice that my ball striking is not where it was a few months ago, now I don’t know if that due to the extremely cold weather here or maybe things will change when the season comes around, but compared to before where I was going to the range 1-3 times a week and getting out to play al least 2 times a week, justified playing with blades, but now it’s a diff story. So we’ll have to see. My main point is, yes these are great irons but be realistic when you’re buying then or any other blades out there. Only a few months till the season. Be great to see Freddy win one this year( Fred Couples)…. Go Freddy

Purchased MP-37 - 2-PW. I'm a new player as of 2005. Upgrade my starte kit to Mizuno MP-37 blades. I agree with other posting that you dont have to be a great player to play blades. BUT, you need to practice. These blades are incredible. I'm a natural long hitter and these blades are loooonngggg. Average 190 yards with 7 iron. That said, I'm still working on hitting the 2-4 properly, somewhat hard to hit long, not straight though. THese sticks are light laser guided sticks to hit golf balls on target and I mean I only started playing golf. The 8-PW are absolutely sweet clubs and easy to hit. Try these clubs, no matter what level of play you fall into. But as I said, you will need lots of practice with short irons. Any recommendations for replacement of 2-3 irons?

WOW! what a set of clubs! I've played Titleist 962 DCI irons for about 5 years and decided it was time to upgrade clubs. I hit several different clubs.... 690, cleveland irons, taylor made, etc. I seetled on the Mizuno MP 37 after much diliberation. What a difference. The feel of the 37 is incredible! I have seen improved accuracy and a slight gain in distance. The forged feel is awesome. I've gain a new excitement for the game and can't wait to get on the course with them. I feel like the 7 and 8 irons have lasers straight to the pin! I wish i could get a gap and sand wedge in the same model. I've played about 8 rounds with the irons and love them. I highly recommend them to any serious golfers!

Well first off I have learned a lot about mizuno and there irons. They are the technology behind all other irons, their designs are the backbone of the industry. I have just purchased a set of MP -37's, I know your asking why is a guy who shoots in the 80's playing with blades. Well when I firsted started with golf I had a 70's model set of spalding blades, im 26, I was thirteen and played with them for many years. When I was older I got a set of cavity backs and that was a big mistake. Blades taught me how to be a ball striker cavity back taught me that hitting the ball straight is all that matters. So, anyway these 37's are brilliant, they are the pure definition of a blade and genius craftsmanship. The 3 and 4 iron are a little tuff to get use to but thats mostly all blades (little more clut head speed). All in all these irons are a wounder to look at and to hit. I went back to blades to be a ball striker again, when you grow up with blades the feeling of being able to work the ball is amazing. It is a myth that blades are for low handicappers, blades just take longer to learn how to hit but your there you will never regret it!
