I love these irons. Super silky feel. Extremely easy to work the ball. Trajectory control. Spin nicely into the green. They do ding easily since they are so soft, but I bought them used for this reason. Had them bent 1* stronger to match more modern club lofts, and they are as long or longer than anything I've hit to date. I would reccommend doing so if you find you lose yardage with these clubs, its all the loft, trust me! The feel of Mizunos is well documented, but so true.

Before I bought this set of babies, I was a 25+ handicapper. I knew I was the laughingstock among my friends as at that time I was new to golf(less than 1 year). To be frankly, the sticks were so difficult in the beginning but I knew what will happen when I paid, because of less forgiving & weaker loft.... At that time you would find that a stupid guy with a set of beautiful blade was suffering from his ugly swing on the d-ranges, uncontrolled draw or slice, overswing, everything can happen... you named it. But what made me still here is the feeling of the balls melting on the sweet spot. very sweet! Other than my coach, MP-33 is the most important teacher for me. I believed that MP-33 is one of the clearest mirrors in the golf teaching world, no masking on error. It will tell the only mission for you is hitting at the sweet spot smoothly. If you are serious enough to golf, try it but you really need plenty of time. For the past 15 months, I spent so many time with these babies, at least 6 hours a week on ranges (not many chances for courses) and many many readings. Very Time Consuming! Now I am so confident in my iron play and I know I am on the right way. All my mistakes from my score (mostly ~85)came from my short game, drivers, putting and lack of experiences, but seldom irons. I love this game as golf is a never-ending learning game. But now, I really know I dont have to work too much in irons now. I know I have the best. Why? Try to research in the market, how many sets of iron with 3 degrees gap for long irons and 4 degrees for med-short irons? A P-wedge with 48 loft then 3 more wedges with also 4-degree gap each can be easily fit-in? not too much, right? Maybe you will ask why should like this? Yes, I like this. I was told that a set of iron should be designed with even carry difference (for me, around 14)and no need to care about the iron number. I tried many so-called longer flight irons from my friends, Yes, those 7-irons bring me 180+ which is ~25 more than my MP33 but I hit 210 from those 3 which is nearly the same with mine. In the beginning I thought that maybe there was something wrong for my long iron play. But the fact is nearly impossible to hit 240 with most irons in the world. Then, from 180 to 210, why should I need 5 clubs? What's wrong with that? Oh, I found it, that 7 is 31 loft!!! Many books told me that this is not a perfect design for a male golfer. Believe or not? I do so I like MP33.

Customer Service

Not yet try. Because I didn't try the new MP37 yet, little bit worried that it cannot replace my MP33 in the future. Would be a great news for me if MP33 comes back to the market.

Beautiful clubs both to look at and hit. I bought these used from a shop and they are still great clubs. I have never hit a pitching wedge better than this one. It is a great feeling to be able to drop a shot 3 feet from the pin 110 yards out with a 3/4 swing. The great thing is that my 3/4 swing is consistantly 110 yards with this pitching wedge. Shaped mid and long iron shots are able to hold their line against the wind and the long irons feel like butter when struck well. The long irons are a little hard to hit for me as would any blade but when the connection is right you can't beat the feedback you get from this blade. PW - 7 iron are absolute butter. Distance control and feel are great attributes of these clubs. PW - 7 iron cavity backs are not even in the ballpark, not even in the parking lot. The grooves on the face are sharp and will grab the ball causing a little more scuffing but that is all good when you drop a 150 yard 8 iron 3 feet from the hole with a little 2 foot pull on the string.

I'm sure after 260 reviews of this club, the same words come up over and over: buttery, sweet, feel, control, shaping, etc. Well, they all hold true. I like many started with Cavity backs. I demo'ed these from a friend 2 years ago, and immidiately bought them from him. This is the best club on the market bar none. As always, do demo any club before buying. If you shoot low 90's or below, can strike the ball decently, and demo them, be prepared to buy them. As with any blade, they are not too fun to play with in cold weather. I am not writing to encourage the world to play this club and this club only. I am only writing to support the hundreds of positive reviews on this club, and to express my opinion, that these are the best.

I absolutely love these clubs...I play them with the S300 Sensicore shafts. They are just the right combination. The MP-33 gives me a slightly higher ball flight than the MP-37 and has much better overall feel than the Titleist 690MB...I recommend these to any caliber player. I believe that these clubs are forgiving enough for any player who is willing to work on their swing, when the clubs tell you something is wrong. If you don't, then you might need to go to the Callaway's or something equally large/forgiving...they will just lie to you :-)

Correction to the review below--it should read "Shoots in the (Low) 80's" (sometimes the 70's too!), not the 100's. Another postscript--the workability of these clubs is fantastic. It is so satisfying to watch a shot fade around trees when it's supposed to. With my cast clubs, intentional shop shaping was very difficult.

After playing cast cavity backs for 10 years, I hit an MP-33 on the range and was immediately beckoned to purchase a set due to the feel and cosmetics. Grew up playing blades, but bought my first adult set during the cavity back craze in the early 90's. Titleist DCI-s--good club but never got a good "feel" from them. Struggled with the long irons for some unknown reason. Bought the MP-33's in March and initially, the sweet feel was not there for me. Something was wrong--I was hitting the longer clubs off the toe. Turns out, I was doing the same thing with the DCI's, but couldn't tell due to the non-feedback. A couple of shots with the MP-33's and I knew something was not right and began the slow process of correcting the problem. After a couple of months and some videotape, I found my flaw and am now hitting them better than ever. I actually find the clubs longer than my DCI's because now that my swing flaw has been identified and cured, I can hit the ball farther with the MP-33 long irons. Their feel is unmatched, and the satisfaction from hitting a great shot with them in unparallelled (somewhat due to my playing partners who think you have to be a scratch golfer to play them--I often hear the question "How do you hit those things?"). If you are serious about golf and want the information (feedback) to improve your swing, these clubs are for you. Plus, they are just plain gorgeous--I feel like a pro every time I look at my bag. Great clubs, period.

When I considered purchasing these irons many of the sales people I talked to attempted to dissuade me from trying these irons, well I bought them anyway and wow! these irons are not that hard to hit. I purchased them on Ebay and the seller builds them to your specs, I had them fitted with flighted rifle shafts flex 5.0 very sexy looking. If a sales person tells you they are for better players just try them you will be suprised, off center hits do not punish you very much in the sense of vibration. Great irons to play or to learn to play.

JUst ordered my second set of MP-33's. I have no idea why I even tried to find anything better. These irons are hands down better than the Titleist 690MB. Not that the Titleist are bad. There is no doubt in my mind that if Tiger wasn't worth so much endorsment wise he'd still be playing Mizuno irons. Best feel in Golf.
