I know it's 2010, but I still love the Comp EZ's. I got this set of irons in 2001 and still play with them every weekend. They are the best feeling clubs I have ever used. In the last 9 years I went from a 20hc to a 6. If anyone is thinking about trying these clubs then I say do it, you won't regret it. |

Can't even count the number of different iron sets that I've tried. You name it, Ping, Callaway, Taylormade, and all of the rest. After all of this, the very best iron out there for me was the Comp Ez. They look great, the forged feeling is the best, and they are quite forgiving. Their ability to shape shots is the best. The Sensocore shaft is the best for feel. Before you spend a ton of money for a new iron set, try these. On Ebay, they go for $100-$150, and they will out perform most of the new irons out there. I am 68 years old still hit 5 iron about 150 yards- driver head speed 110 -started playing at age 50. I started with Ping steel stiff -few years ago I went to Adams GT tight lies senior shaft. One year ago got the Mizuno Comp EZ steel regular. I hit the Mizunos further than the Adams- about 1 more iron on average. |

I'm an earnest though somewhat untalented mid-handicapper. I've played golf improvement sets since I started playing 7 years ago (some of them deserve the name, others sadly had the opposite effect). I decided I'd like to try a forged set but not spend the earth on a new set at this point. I bought a used set of Mizuno comp ezs (R300 sensicore shafts, 3-PW) on e-bay uk for about £75 in good though not pristine condition though with new grips.

I purchased a set of Mizuno Comp EZ clubs (S300 Sensicore) new in 1999 after having played Ping Eye2s, Tommy Armour 855s, Slazenger, and Ping ISI BeCu, over the previous 4-5 years. As a regular member of our group, I had worked my hcp down to a 6, but wasn't getting to play as often as blades would require. I was looking for a forged club for better feedback, yet one that still provided forgiveness. Did I ever make the right choice. Immediately I fell in love with the look and feel of these clubs. Then, once having them fit (a must for any serious golfer), I fell in love with the performance. Within a couple of months I had improved my ball striking and carded my first round in the 60's. Over the past 7 years, I have seen my playing time (not to mention my practice time) drop to rather infrequent. Now, I've really seen the benefit that these clubs provide. While my expectations have become less lofty, my ball striking is surprisingly steady. I attribute this in large part to these clubs. I could not be a bigger fan, nor could I recommend them more highly to anyone interested in improving their game. These clubs cannot make up for serious swing flaws (take some lessons), but they will help make up for a less than perfect strike on the ball. The Comp EZ's are no longer in production, but great deals are available online (eBay) for one of the best irons ever made. Since buying them, I've continued to occasionally try other irons, but nothing has taken their place in my bag to date. Customer Service Never had a problem. Never had to call on them. These are great irons and the R300 Gold Plus sensicore shafts are the perfect compliment for these forgings. Easier to hit than the MX-20's. They helped me shoot 86 yesterday. I'm going to play these for a long time. They're much better than anything else I've played. Nothing else even close. Customer Service Cordial and knowledgeable. I picked up a really nice used set of these on ebay based on all the good reviews I saw here. I have to agree with them all. These are outstanding clubs. They are forgiving in the sence that the ball will still go straight on misses. There is however a fairly significant distance penalty. However, a smooth swing "on the button" is amazing. I'm one club longer with a pure shot. The secret is, a smooth swing on center and you are rewarded generously. My second round with these I shot my best round of 77! Buy these if you are a decent ball striker. You won't be disappointed Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: Tommy Armour 845, Acer XDS2 Pro's |

After reading all the positive reviews on these clubs, I have traded in my DCI 762's and am now the proud owner of a set of mizuno EZ Comps with Excel Arc graphite stiff shafts. I tend to hit the ball fairly high so the stiff shafts are ideal for me. Also my swing speed is quite slow so to get the full benefit I had to increased by swing speed. This increased the distance by about half a club. Everyone raves about the forged feel to creamed shots. I can only say that I tested them down at the range, and I hit a shot that was out of the centre of the club and it was better than sex. I have tried the MX20 and honestly feel that the EZ's are far superior. Next time I have a round I am confident I will be breaking into the 70's. Mizuno are undoubtedly world beaters, I am hooked on the Big easys. Similar Products Used: Callaway X12 DCI762 |

These are the most forgiving irons I have ever used without sacificing distance or control. I'm not a good enough golfer for blades but these irons let me keep up just fine with my competitors. My next set of irons will be from the same manufacturer. Customer Service No need yet Similar Products Used: Tommy Armour Callaway x-14 |

This is a GREAT set of irons. The feel is excellent. I have the Mizuno Excel-Arc graphite shafts and could not be happier. I have gained 20 yards per club without giving up accuracy. Don't let anyone tell you that forged is not forgiving. These babies are just as or more forgiving as my cast cavity backs. The feel is just incredible, like cutting through soft butter, very smooth. I highly recommend these sticks!!! Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: Callaway x-14, Golfsmith xpc 2000, Tried almost all name brand clubs looking for these. |
