Maltby M-05
Replaced my Ping ISI's with a set of Malby M-05 irons. These are forged irons (my first set of forged irons)that I had customed fitted. I purchased these irons at the start of the summer and I have been playing my best golf since. These irons are just as forgiving as my Pings with much better feeling. Since they are forged, they were easy to adjust the lie angles/face angle per my request. I started out with four wedges up to the 5 iron, but later added the 4 iron since I was hitting these so well. I used the new True Temper SL Dynamic Gold shafts. These play just like the original DG's, just lighter. This may explain why my iron shots are going further. I'm approx. 10 yards longer with these new irons. I would highly recommend these irons for the mid-high handicapper as well as the scratch golfer. |
