I just received these and man what a club. I have been playing blades for the past 10 years because good or bad I want to know what I did. These 675's have 5.5 rifles which I swore I wouldnt touch again. Surprise, I love them. I played Hogan Apex, Nike Blades, MacGregor VIP v-foils and have to tell you the distance, accuracy and feel with these 675's is the best I have ever felt. The heads are nice and small and despite the thicker sole than I am used to, they set up beautifully. Cosmetically they are gorgeous. The long iron and the their boring trajectory is incredible. Already the 7 iron is my go to club and I just got them today. Chipping, full shots, draws, fades these do it all. Off center hits are not punishing and minimal loss of distance. No pain with these. I hope this helps anyone considering moving to blades. I have tried them all and this is the best I have hit so far.

Customer Service

Have not used them yet for the 675's. Was looking for a 2 iron to match my old VIP V-foils and had to beg them to check if they had one in stock. That did not set well with me but I will give them a second chance if they are going to continue to make clubs like this.

This is sort of a "combo" set in that the short irons are conventional forged while the mid & long irons are forged, multi-piece hollow bodies.

7-PW are very nice. Excellent feel, consistent distances, accurate, knockdowns are easy. Love 'em.

Didn't like the feel of the 3-6 irons,
not gratifying like the short irons, and sounds strange but, didn't feel like the ball stayed on the face long enough. Luke warm on these.

Overall, lower trajectory than my Titleist 690 CBs with DG S300. Maybe it's the shaft difference. Superb short irons but that's only half the set.

These are simply the best irons that I have ever hit. Their swing weight dials them in at D2.

I have a set of Titleist limitee edition 681 forged blades as well. The feel of the MacG vs. Titleist is very different.

Keep in mind that the forging process and metal as per say that both companies use are very different.

The MacG M675's offer more forgiveness (odd word to use in describing a blade) and have a highler launch angle. Both sets are TT Gynamic Gold S300 and you can see the difference in the long irons as MacG puts in those tungsten inserts in the long irons.

Therefore the launch angle in the long irons is higher.

I would rate the MacG as high as the 675 as high as the 681's. The face on the 681 feels tighter though.

A blade is a blade, if you're playing clunkers like an X16 or X18 Pro don't commot suicide by going to blades. Stay with the shovels.

If you want to bring your game to the next level and think that you are close to being a blade player, they irons while heavy are exceptionally nice to hit.

Smoke 'em if you got 'em!

Sweet as can be, had them reshafted with Nippon 95 gr. shafts with great sucess. Very accurate and great trajectory. No loss in distance but limited forgivness. Cant beat them for feedback on strike ,for me the key to improving.

I want to write an update to what I wrote last fall about the Macgregor M675 irons. I love these clubs! They have superior feel. I now know I didn't know what feel was before. I found out when I found myself without my clubs out of town and played a few rounds with a set of reg-shaft graphite game-improvement irons that my friend loaned me. There's no comparison to the accuracy and feel of the Macgregors. I now shoot consistently in the 90s, and while that has something to do with my increased play, it has more to do with these irons. It is a joy to swing the clubs and feel the snap of a well-struck ball, and look up and see it flying straight to your target. There's more to come in improving my game, and my set of Macgregor M675 irons are taking me there.

Customer Service

M675 3-PW Dynamic Gold S-300. I have been playing forged blades since 1979. Wow these are by far the best feeling and best ball flight result irons I have ever played. Working the ball left to right a little more difficult than with my mizunos but still they feel better and have a larger sweet spot. Was deployed to Iraq for a year and just played my 1st round of golf in over a year and shot 77 on a par 72 course with these. The 3 and 4 irons are easier to hit than any muscle or cavity blade I have ever played. In fact they are almost as easy to hit than a hybrid. I still carry my 18 degree hybrid but the M675 3,4 and 5 irons are staying in the bag. I am more accurate with the short irons than with my previous mizuno T-zoid pro IIs or precept tour premiums. If you are a decent ball striker and have a relatively good swing don't let the compact head design fool you these sticks play better than most midsize or oversize forgiving cavity back irons out there. These are staying in the bag until they wear out, then I will just have them rechromed and regrooved. I picked these up at e-bay slightly used for $305 what a steal since they retail at most proshops for $795

Customer Service

Customer service is second to none. I used MacGregor MT forged tour blades in the early 80s, 6 iron had chrome peeling off, sent it to MacGregor and they sandblasted and rechromed the iron for free.

Model Reviewed: Macgregor M675 irons

I have played a lot more golf than in the past this year, and I was beginning to get a little more consistent with my iron play. I was using a set of Ping ISI-K irons with regular-flex graphite shafts. I decided the time was right to move up to a set of forged blades, and I bought a nearly new set of Macgregor M675 irons with S300 steel shafts on E-Bay. Let me jump to the end of the story first: I'm hitting these great -- better ball flight and control than my old irons, and the feel is phenomenal. I just know I'm going to be longer and better with these awesome irons. I've played about five rounds now, and the distances are farther, the ball flight high and long. However, the transition between my old irons and these was difficult. My first practice range session and first couple of rounds with the irons was painful because they are so different than oversize game-improvement cavity backs with reg-flex graphite. But the last two times I used them -- WOW! I figured out how to hit them! As Jack said, "If you want to hit it longer, hit it better." You must hit the club in the sweet spot or you will pay dearly. But when you do (and I've done it pretty consistently the last two rounds) the results are AWESOME! I can't wait to go out again. I honestly believe taking the time to learn how to hit these right will improve my game far more than so-called game improvement irons that perform basically OK no matter how you hit them, but never give the high reward that the M675 clubs do when hit correctly. I will never look back!

these might make me break 80!! I have never hit Irons this good before. The 3 and 4 iron are easy to get up and man do they go! I can hit the short irons dead at the pin and make the ball dance. First time out with them I had 2 eagles and 2 birdies. I will be shooting 70's soon. The 675's hit and feel like a cavity back but are workable like a blade. BEST Irons Ever!!!!
