Mine had Rifle flighted 6.0 The heads are great but the shafts arent for me. Clean setup and good feel. Mine were not made to the specs that I requested. Attempts to correct with customer service were useless, they dont return calls, the supervisor was out of town, etc.

Customer Service

called about reshafting quoted me $42 per club in steel!!! Ouch! Customer service referred me to their supervisor who didnt return my calls. Wait until they go out of business then you can buy them cheap.

My second favorite set of clubs after my Callaway S2H2's. Not only do these clubs look clean and pure, a good swing will result in a clean pure shot. Mis-hits are penalized, as they should be with a forged blade, but not quite as punishing as my Wilson Staff Musclebacks. Every shot is workable with these clubs, and I find that a balata ball (Wilson Staff Ti balata or Maxfli Revolution) worked great. I found that Titleist Professionals and Balata would go out of round with these clubs and would tend to cut if a shot was a bit thin. As a 4 handicap, I would not recommend these clubs for double digit golfers.

These are truly beautiful and perfect irons. When hit solidly or even off the toe or heel you still get good positive feedback and a remarkable feel. Would recommend to any 10 or below handicap, mainly because you'll need to be somewhat consistent in hitting these to lower your scores. I hit these further then my old Revolutions with a 2* weaker loft. Distance is 3-10 yards further depending on club and how hard I swing. Only weakness is the price. Paid $900. Whoa!

Recently, I demoed some of these remarkable irons at my local pro shop. They provided deadly accuracy and distance control that even the most accomplished players would envy. The look at address builds confidence that grows every time you swing these clubs. These MacGregors also provide that undiscribable feeling when you hit one pure that cast clubs simply cannot provide. Also, these blades are not impossible to hit as many believe. In fact, I found them to be somewhat forgiving on all but extreme off-center strikes. I wish more amateurs would try forged irons and experience what I and many other accomplished players have, which is a consistant set of irons that help you fix your swing, not cover up it's downfalls. As a fifteen-year old with a 1 handicap, I only wish I had tried forged blades sooner. Then I might could have started saving my cash earlier and have the opportunity to actually buy these clubs instead of dreaming about them. Without a job, and no real means for income, this may be a while. Oh well, I'll just have to live with my Top Flite Tours and think about all the birdie and eagle chances I am missing.

MacGregor is back, and they mean it! 1). The quality of the PMB´s are exactly what made MacGregor famous. Also the hands-on fabrication and control is spot on. 2). The feel is very soft, smooth, and full of feedback. If you hit a Tour Balata with these clubs you will be compelled to swing easy and with a long follow-through. Pure pleasure. 3). Extremely playable. The PMB concept, and the sole design works. Even though my set is 2 Degrees strong, I still have a good height and clean contact with the 1-Iron from the fairway. Mis-hits are punished as usual in the middle irons, but the long irons have a little wider impact area and are slighty forgiving. Before you buy another Muscle-Back, try these. The price is not as high as the return.

Customer Service

Quick, competent replies to all my stupid questions. Delivered exactly to my specs. 1 week later than promised (probably Christmas shipping blues).
