La Jolla OS Irons

La Jolla OS Irons

DESCRIPTION

The La Jolla Club OS (Over-size) irons feature a wide sole, placing as much weight below the ball as possible. The low center of gravity and lightweight steel or graphite shafts create a high launch angle to make shots go higher and further. These offset irons also feature a classic profile with a clean topline.

Got this set brand new for $49 on Ebay recently. Figured if they were designed by the same folks who did the Knife Fairway woods, worth a flyer.

OUTSTANDING irons. Very soft feel, generous sole with a great design like the Top-flite Tour irons, not too big, not clunky at all. Accurate, and distance is fine.

Had a set of Ping G10 irons I had high hopes for.. they are REALLY disappointing. These La Jolla OS beat them in every way, big time. Grooves are a little chewy on the soft balls, but that is OK by me. Long irons are vry good, but I prefer my Kasco 20* hybrid, the best hybrid I have ever played. I am deciding on the #4 iron of a nice Nickent original 23* hybrid... about equal, Iron better off the tee, hybrid better on all other shots.

One of the best deals I have ever done.

Probably a review that may never be read... but if U do, find these irons and buy them. I have had maybe 50 sets over the last 3 years and these are in the bag.
