KZG CB-III Irons

KZG CB-III Irons

DESCRIPTION

Over-size head, expanded sweetspot
Low center of gravity for aase of play
Finally forged feel and consistency for all players

These unique mid-size irons will introduce more golfers to the benefits of forged irons. They offer the feel, shot shaping, and distance control, but more forgiveness than a traditional forged iron. The progressive offset and wider weighted sole lowers the center of gravity and makes it more manageable to control longer irons.

Model Reviewed: CB-III (Says Forged III on head)

I'm a beginner golfer yet I am sensitive to the feel of my swing and the impact I make with the ball. I'm a current owner of the OC-x1's and I really learned how to nearly perfect my swing with them. Now, however, I find them to be a bit heavy and bulky and I tend to push the ball with them more often then not. I decided to change the head to CB-III's after researching and demoing the rest of KZG's lineup as well as Cobras's, Clevelands, Callaway's, Nike's, Taylormade's, Ping's, Titleist's offerings. These heads are fantastic. I've never hit straighter, or worked the ball as well. They are beautiful at address, with a thin forged topline. I feel very confident with them even though it is usually suggested that beginner should usually go for cast-iron cavity irons (OC-x1's for instance). Not I, as I prefer their feel to any other iron set I've tested -- cavity or forged. And I've tested all the popular ones. They are over-sized, soft-feeling, polished-finished, high-quality heads. They are twice the price of the OC-x1's pricing them near the typical forged offerings from Callaway, Cleveland, and Nike.

Customer Service

I haven't dealt with KZG directly; only thru my local dealer. However, KZG seems to be very accommendating to its customers. They offer me twice the credit if I trade in KZG clubs for KZG clubs. (Note: my dealer promotes KZG only, and is an exclusive KZG clubfitter) This is probably close to 4x what you would get from a golf chain trade-in.

Read lengthly reviews of all major "game improvment irons". Tested models from Callaway, Mizuno, Cobra, Cleveland. The list goes on and on. Came across these in a Buyer's Guide and waas immediately impressed with ther aesthetics of the club. Gorgeous. No other word to describe it. There was only one dealer in the state and it was only 15 minutes away. These clubs are absolutely a joy to hit and offer even a hacker like me a ton of feedback, which helps me figure out what went wrong with a shot. The topline is thin and the entire club is very sleek. I felt like I knew what I was doing! One negative is that these clubs are freaking HUGE. Larger than anything else you have ever hit, I guarantee. It definitely takes some getting use to. Your buddies may give you the business as my brothers did to me. But the results are there and if you have a sense of humour, BUY THESE CLUBS. They make you feel like pro. I would definitely suggest these for players who refuse to bow into the hybrid craze or for those that love to hit the long irons but just can't seem to do it well.
