Honma Golf Tour World 904 Irons

Honma Golf Tour World 904 Irons

DESCRIPTION

The Tour World 904 Irons provide the workability of a blade and the forgiveness of a cavityback iron. The 904 is a precision cast-forged design to provide outstanding feel, with blade-like featured. The 904's perimeter weighting delivers a higher moment of impact than a muscleback iron, but providing greater forgiveness for improved results on off-center hits.

Bought these irons 2 years ago and had a set of ping before. They are the most superior i have played. They are just as soft as my miura wedges and have the optimum design in my opinion to merge forgiveness with pinpoint accuracy. the only disadvantage for me as purist is the look from the six iron down to the wedge, as they all show a little bit of offset, which the blades i owned before the ping did not have. But the way the mass sits behind the sweet spot and gives you tremendous feel and power when you strike the ball although you have a forgiving perimeter weighted club in your hand makes up for that easily. And besides that they don't collect dings as fast as other forged clubs as the process of casting and then forging seems to make them extremly dense and therefore solid. i will never need another club and i hope they will always stay on the market.

I bought the iron set 3 years ago moved up from Tommy Armour V series, proir Iron set Wilson Staff RM.
This was my first set of irons with graphite shafts. I am able to work the ball left to right. I found I am able to hit he ball 8-10 yards further with the graphite shaft. Irons are accurate, dead on when well struck. Would I buy a new set , not likely unless I won the lottery.
