After having swung the 2004 Callaway Big Bertha's in the store, I was impressed by the way they seemed to fit my swing. However I really didn't want to pay $600 for these clubs. After doing some research I found a company called Pacific Golf Center on eBAY that would custom make a knock-off of the BB's for only $160 including shipping. Furthermore they would also custom fit the clubs to my body and game. After some more research and seeing nothing but great reviews, I dropped the money and I couldn't be happier. The heads themselves resemble the Callaway's a great deal, even down to the logo's being somewhat similar. The construction though is nearly identical. The shafts are True Temper in a regular flex. They were sized 1/2" longer than normal and they feel great. The grips are authentic Callaway Big Bertha cord grips. They too were sized according to my measurements. All of this is fine, but the real test is on the golf course. Happily these clubs pass that test with flying colors. I had gotten to the point where my iron play was non-existant prior to getting these. My old irons just weren't working for me and instead I relied on my fairway woods almost exclusively. Since receiving these I can truly say that my game has improved. I'm hitting more greens and feeling more confident in my all around game. I expect that my golf scores will continue to plumment as my iron game continues to improve. All in all I would give the Grand Hawk XP-8's from Pacific Golf Center my highest endorsement. If these clubs were lost or stolen, I wouldn't hesitate to order another set ASAP.

Customer Service

Pacific Golf Center was excellent in their communications. They sent me an exhaustive survey in order properly fit me for my new irons. This included such things as my body measurements, swing speeds, grip size, etc. They also did this very quickly as I needed these clubs in a hurry due to an impending golf vacation. They not only got me the clubs in time, they got them to me early enough that I was able to play a practice round prior to leaving! I can't recommend Pacific Golf Center on eBAY enough!
